these two are endgame, and I will accept nothing less! Like seriously, the angst, the looks, the convo in the woods, everything was just SO BRILLIANT, I am so happy with the stancy content we got this season! they are everything, I loved the way their story evolved, but also seeing how they've changed individually. They are made for each other, and I really hope we'll get the endgame they deserve!!

It's the classic love triangle but I really feel like Stancy is endgame. She was drawn to Jonathan during a shared trauma (missing loved ones, shared upside down experience, etc) and they had very similar goals in life professionally. Her attraction to Jonathan came at a time where Steve wasn't exactly boyfriend of the year and then she really just wanted to see what a relationship to J would be. But in the last two seasons, I haven't really seen the chemistry as much between them. They were struggling in their professional goals with Nancy not being respected and Jonathan the opposite (no longer a shared experience). Now they are really not on the same page anymore because they have been avoiding each other and Jonathan has changed his mind about school. Their whole connection is about a shared experience.
Whereas with Steve, I think their connection is deeper. Steve needed time to grow up a bit but he's always loved Nancy and clearly is imagining life with her 10, 20 years on. He wants to grow with her, and have a family. Their connection is a long-term one, with history (he was her first love, first time etc) and they also have a similar background.
Jancy might have a connection but how deep is it? Jonathan is still lying to her so it's pretty cracked already. If he is being dishonest to her about something as short-term as colleges and Steve is baring his soul about having a family with her, it's not a hard choice.
It all started well; Steve confessing his love to Nance, them flirting with each other and almost kissing, and then Johnatan comes and Nancy goes to him . I think she is just scared to tell Johnatan she still has a thing for Steve...
I don’t know, because it still seems like she loves Jonathan as well. 🤷🏼♀️
I like how their relationship is evolving, that they haven't kissed, the tension rises more, they also start well without cheating, without infidelity, or guilt, I'm sure that despite the fact that Nancy is with Jonathan she still has feelings. by Steve and is curious about what Steve said (what would have happened if our relationship had worked out). They will always find their way back to them.

@@shirleyramos882 I don’t know, it all still seems pretty one sided like it did the first time. Also Steve’s dream was his dream and not Nancy’s, that’s not who she is so he really needs to incorporate who she actually is into his dreams, rather than who he wishes she was, otherwise they will end exactly the way they did before.
@@taraz6786 yes exactly my thoughts. When Steve mentioned the six kids Nancy's first reaction was "what a nightmare". She wants to escape the expectations of marrying a man, having kids and ending up in a small town like her mum did. Her dream is a career, like investigative journalism. And maybe she will have kids, one or two. But not in the way Steve wants to.
You can tell throughout the season she was starting to fell for Steve again, and I think she just didn't have the courage to tell John off, yet. She clearly didn't seem all that excited when she told John they were still good. By season 5 they're clearly done. Season 4 was just setting up for it

I don’t know if they’re done cos Steve’s dream was all about him. Nancy would never want a whole brood of kids, not to mention she is a lot more ambitious than that and his dream was about his idealized version of her and not actually her. Nancy is much more independent and driven, she’s grown a lot since Steve loved her, so I don’t know that they would be compatible anymore.
@@taraz6786 i think the ambitious woman doesn't mean that she doesn't want to built a family, beside, steve seems like the person who takes care of family. "It sounds nice" "yeah?" "yeah".

@@ngakieu3541 Maybe, but I’m not sure that one friendly interaction is enough to build an entire relationship around, especially since the next season is the last so they would really have to rush it.
@@taraz6786 1 thing I can be sure is Joncy relationship in ss4 is totally cracked. 😋. And the way Nan looks at Ste when he gets hurt in upside down isnt friendly interaction. That is my opinion

They have so much more chemistry than her and Jonathan; they always kind of seemed awkward to me. I think Steve and Nancy just needed to grow apart first before they could grow together

Sometimes I'm scared to say I ship them cause there are so many jancy shippers.. I really ship them despite of their real life relationships. Just in the show I feel like Steve is meant to end up with Nancy, he's a whole changed person. I just love them so much, this is a beautiful edit. I swear I think Nancy has a thing for Steve. I think she still loves him. I mean look at her face when she sees him after so long. And literally they almost kissed like a million times this season. He obviously still loves her. I mean she looked so happy when he told her his dream in the van and then when he got pulled down into watergate she just jumped right in no hesitation because she still loves him. And st the end when she and Jonathan were boarding up Hopper’s cabin she looked uncomfortable with him AND defended Steve to Jonathan. I hope in season 5 she realizes Steve is the right person for her and she still has feelings for him. I mean Robin and Eddie both think she still loves him. Anyway that is why I am TEAM STEVE! :)

I honestly would love to see Steve with a new love. That shares the same future plans as him. Nancy definitely doesn’t and she wants to follow her dreams as a journalist. So I don’t understand why they don’t let Nancy be independent and single.
I mean, she's plenty independent and capable regardless. The idea that having a career precludes having a family feels so outdated. Steve seems to have some dutiful, supportive house husband aspirations that I could see making them a good match in the long run. I wouldn't mind them ending up together.
