Manufacturers of aircraft and other airline industry specialists are always looking for new solutions to handle the increasing number of passengers. Commercial airplanes have grown in size as a result of the increasing desire to transport millions of people throughout the world daily.
Here are the 6 worlds largest passenger jet aircraft that can transport hundreds of passengers from another side of the world within an hour. Take a look at the list of the largest passenger aircraft in the world!
All 6 world's largest passenger aircraft are made by 2 manufacture Companies Airbus and Boeing.
6. Airbus A350-900
The A350-900 is the first variant of the A350, which was developed to compete with the Boeing 787 Dreamliner. It has a maximum seating of 440 and typical seating between three classes (first, business, and economy) of 300 to 350.

height 17.05 m
wingspan 64.75 m
This jetliner that specializes in long-haul travel, has a range of 15,000 km.
The A350 freighter can carry up to 7.8 tonnes of cargo.
A350 is One of the first large commercial aircraft to be constructed extensively from carbon fibre reinforced polymer (CFRP).
5. Airbus A340-600
The A340-600 is the largest-capacity variant of the A340. It has a maximum seating of 475, and its typical seating between three classes (first, business, and economy) ranges from 320 and 370.
It is a four-engine and wide-body.
Overall length 75.36 m
height 17.93 m
wingspan 63.45 m
The aircraft made its maiden flight in 2002 with Virgin Atlantic airline.
It has a range of over 7,800 nautical miles, a maximum cruise speed of Mach 0.88.
A340-600 was the largest passenger airliner before Airbus A380.
However, it was not as successful as Airbus had hoped.
4. Boeing 777-300
The Boeing 777 - 300 is a passenger plane manufactured in the United States with a seating capacity of 550 people in a single-class setup and 451 in a two-class configuration.
It has a travel range of 11,135 km.
Emirates is the largest Boeing 777 operator in the world, with 131 of the 777-300 in service.
There are 2 different versions in this model. 777-300 and 777-300ER
The standard 777-300 has a listed range (with a 368-passenger configuration and powered by General Electric GE90 engines) of 11,165 km.
This is impressive in itself, but the 777-300ER can go more than 22% further. Overall, this design has a staggering range of 13,649 km. wingspan 63.45 meters

3. Boeing 777 - 400
The Boeing 747 400 is a passenger plane made in the United States by Boeing that has the capacity to accommodate 416 passengers in a three-class setup, 524 in a two-class setup and 660 in an all-economy cabin.
It has a travel range of 13,446 km.

Tail height - 19.40 m
Wingspan - 64,40 m
A Boeing 747 can open its nose and load freight with a length of 56.4 meters without having to bend the cargo.
On an Airbus A300 or Boeing 777, cargo cannot be too long; otherwise, it won't be able to 'bend' around the door frame.
(as the shipment enters from a door located on the side of the plane).
2. Boeing 747-400
The Boeing 747-8 can accommodate 700 passengers if a single-class system is followed, while 600 seats are available in a double-class configuration.
The plane has a travel range of 14,816 km.
However, till 2020 it only received 47 orders instead of anticipated 300. Lufthansa was the first one to order 747-8 in 2006.

1. Airbus a380-800
The Airbus A380 800 is a passenger plane with capacity for 853 passengers in a single class or 644 in a two-tiered class.
It has a travel range of 15,200 km. As of 2020, 242 aircraft have been manufactured,
However, due to poor sales, Airbus announced A380-800 retirement in 2021. With 114 A380s in its fleet and eight pending delivery.
Move over A380-800, because there is a new player in town. Airbus announced the new A380plus with even more seats.
Officially Airbus states that the new aircraft can carry 80 more passengers and the new winglet design reduces fuel burning by 4% and is 13% cheaper per seat than the old A380. However, the new version of A380 never saw the daylight.
