I think there should be more understanding as to what we go through other than neck and back pain. How about yeast infections under the breast. Sure you can treat them and they go away but they ALWAYS return and frequently...you just feel gross and it interrupts your love life. How about the cost of a bra that will fit you. I can't go into a Walmart, Victoria Secret etc.... No, I have to go to a specialty boutique and pay ALOT of money. I see the prices of bras for smaller chested women and it is not fair! Let's talk about how uncomfortable an underwire is. I would LOVE to wear a wire free bra. How about the straps digging into your shoulders and creating irritation. Let's talk sweat. I have tried everything--antipersperants, powders, anti-chaffing creams and gels..the list goes on. I'm tired of the main determining factor for breast reduction being neck and shoulder pain. We go through SO much more and it is psychologically tiring and emotionally draining.

Completely agree. Mine also seem to keep growing! I was an F cup before I had my son, while I was pregnant I went up to a JJ. After pregnancy and having lost most of my baby weight I am now a HH! When I finish paying off my debts this year I'm getting a reduction. 40th birthday treat!

I am 13 and I have a 34DDD I’m scared they will keep growing and I have become over weight ( I’m fat but in a nicer way to say it) I’m scared my boobs will keep growing and hold me back from so many life experiences. I don’t necessarily care how other people see my boobs at such a young age, but I have bad posture, bloating, the area above my collar bone is always sore and in pain. I’m scared they will keep growing and ruin my teenage years, but I’m scared to get surgery because I mean, I’m scared of needles. But I want to talk to my parents and my friends are really supportive. Thank you for letting me rant. Do you have any tips?
@@TheSchmidtster best tip I can give for someone your age is to talk to your parents...see what they can do for you. Right now, things are tough because of the covid19 pandemic and you will most likely have to wait a while. In the meantime, talk it out with you parents and friends. Keep positive!

I’m 17 and I want to get a breast reduction because it caused neck and back pain and they sag a lot plus I feel unattractive when I’m not wearing a bra. When I go for a run they jump up and down which causes pain. Like I really hate my boobs.

I’m a 36K and I’m 22. the exercise part hit me hard because I legit CANT without being in excruciating pain. I stopped wearing bras completely because the grooving in my shoulders were getting so deep I couldn’t do it anymore. I’m hoping and praying to god I am able to go through with this surgery. currently waiting on my medical card so I can set up a consultation in net worth with the insurance company I’m with.

So my surgery is set for April 29th. The steps I took were a lot easier (to me) than I had thought. So I work for a company that has the insurance independence blue cross. I’m on it and I first did my research through my insurance website and applied filters on who was in my range (Atlanta, georgia) after some time (about 3 days) I found a surgeon that I really liked and that was in my price range. I booked a consultation for February 7th. My surgeon and I went over a lot of things like the risks, the pros, the cons, sizing, etc. she asked me when did I want the surgery done and I told her I’d love for it to be before my birthday (July 14th) kind of as a birthday present to myself. She told me she would see what she could. 3 weeks later from feb 7, I got the call from my surgeons office that I was approved! The cost for the consultation was $45 and my out of pocket cost for the procedure was 1,326 and some change. I paid that about a month after I was approved. I set my date for April 29th. it would’ve been sooner than that but my surgeon is on vacation. I feel like the process was a lot easier for my because since my breasts are SO huge I didn’t have to have all of this documentation... you could just look at me and tell. for reference I’m around 230 , I’m 5’2, my breast size is a 36K. I’ll be going down to a size between a full C-DD. hopefully she can put me at a small D though. I told her I want to be smalllll. I’m OVER big boobs.
chileshe Chonta you don’t NEED insurance if you have the money like that... the youtuber Alissa Ashley had the procedure done but she paid out of pocket for everything. I think her total was around 10K. either 10K or 15K , I don’t remember but I do remember that she paid for everything out of pocket. so no you don’t need insurance but a lot of ppl like myself can’t afford to pay for the entire thing out of pocket. so insurance comes in handy!

Why is it that no one bats an eye or asks "would your boyfriend want it" if they get a breast enlargement but everyone starts considering that some other (hypothetical) person who doesn't have the breasts if you want them reduced?
Totally Didn't Kill Everybody because we have almost no autonomy over our bodies. If a woman wants to get her tubes tied she is shamed and people ask “what does your husband think” or “what if your husband wants kids later” and that makes no sense because he isn’t the one having the kids.

I'm getting a reduction and told my grandmother and the first thing she asked was how did my husband feel about it. Why does that matter? It's my body. He's happy and supportive regardless, but still lord forbid we try to do something for our health.

i hate how you have to do all of this other stuff in order to be a candidate. like it is our bodies. we should get to decide what to do to it. no, i do not want to be taking motrin for the rest of my life or doing physical therapy for forever. i want to fix the problem at its source. i’m a teenager and i’m going to be getting this surgery because of the pain it causes me. i had to start wearing bras in elementary school. i am not dealing with this pain for the rest of my life. i have back arthritis that is worse because of the weight i’m carrying on my chest. this is my decision. i am the one with the pain. it is my body. let me decide

@@roxannelucas9857 i didn't end up getting it. it turns out, the majority of the pain was caused by hip impingement due to my femurs being rotated in. i had a surgery where they broke my leg. that fixed a lot of my back pain. i am still considering getting a breast reduction, but since i want children in the future i dont want to be limited in how small i can go since it can affect breast feeding. i will most likely get a reduction in the future after i have had children. i hope your pain gets better

But it’s like guys totally don’t understand what we have go thru. I can’t imagine not wearing a sports bra though.. I literally have to wear a regular bra and then a sports bra over top the bra.. @@jessicaishere8416 I feel your pain, I'm a UK 38H ! Your boyfriend has NO right to tell you what to do with your own body, he doesn't deal with the issues that come with it. It's selfish for him to want you to be unhappy with your breast size for his gain and making you feel guilty for wanting to be happy with yourself is awful. At the end of the day, whether you decide to get a reduction or not should be down to you and only you. Good luck with your journey !

@@jessicaishere8416 I have all the same issues ! Yeah I'm 20 and there's no end in sight, they don't stop growing. I'm seriously considering surgery. If you feel you would be happier with smaller breasts and know the possible repercussions of surgery and are willing to take the risk, I'd definitely look into it! Your body, your choice. If your boyfriend doesn't love you because your breasts are smaller, he wasn't worth it anyway 💖

I am a 38"J. They started when I was 8. In my 20s, I got down to a size double zero, and was still a DD cup. It's no joke that I can't exercise be cause of my breasts. I throw out my back at least once a week.

Some plastic surgeons leave your milk ducts in. If that's what you are concerned about. But there is always a risk you wont be able to breastfeed if you want too. Just decide whether or not it's worth it to you, I know someone who had a reduction before kids and she was very happy with it she didnt mind not breastfeeding. But this was before they had the technology to leave the milk duct in
If they're not causing you discomfort and immense pain at the moment, then maybe you can wait. I have a friend who had a reduction and when she had a baby, she had to redo it again as they became big and saggy once more
I wanted to do that but im nineteen and it’s gonna take me ten more years before I want a kid. I don’t want to have to deal with the pain and embarrassment any longer. I want mine gone
my mom had me after her reduction and i was perfectly able to breastfeed! just let your surgeon know ahead of time if you want kids in the future so they can do everything they can to make that possible. my mom didn’t even do that and was still able to breastfeed! also, if it’s bad enough, your quality of life is worth it even if it makes breastfeeding harder or impossible in the future, loads of women can’t breastfeed naturally, and formulas are amazing in current times!

I have a call with my doctor tomorrow to ask her about it. I’ve tried massages, medicine for pain, I have a trainer... I have to wear two sports bras to work out and I’m not very tall. I notice the pin in my back all the time and some days I can’t even go about my day. It’s especially bad if I don’t wear a bra that’s supportive enough or at all. The next day I’m in a lot of pain. I can’t afford the surgery up front on my own so I’m hoping my insurance will cover it

This is so helpful! Right now I am a 38G and know this is the right thing for me! All through highschool I was know as "the quiet girl with big tits" and back then I was only a DD and I would LOVE to be that small again! I am a little overweight so I am on a diet and exercise plan to loose the extra weight by summer and see if that helps before spending money and going through the process. My husband is 100% on board with this plan and I am super thankful for that. This video answered a few of my questions

I'm just turning 16 and have had DDD cups since 13 and H cups since 14 (And I'm only 5'3). My mom had a reduction so when I went through puberty we always talked about it as an option, and about 6 months ago we decided I'd get one. I can't walk up stairs or exercise and I have back pain and poor posture. Bras are so expnsive but I have to wear them, even to bed. I can't fit in shirts and my chest makes me feel unattractive in the shirts I can fit in. Waiting is not an option because I simply cannot function right at work or school. If all goes well by this time next year I'll have had a reduction!

I’m 16 with 38DDD and I occasionally bind (I’m nonbinary) but never more than you should and always under the 8 hour limit. But recently when I’m not binding and am just wearing a sports bra or one without underwire my ribs right under my breasts are sore and hurt. I think it might be a cause from the in consistent binding but I’m not sure...
I’ve been considering binding but since my body is pretty thin except for my 32DDD chest i just cant imagine it looking good or proportionate :(

that must be really tough :( if you feel comfortable with it then i say go for it! im fifteen and in a similar boat, my mom got one a few years ago. because we’re still young and growing you may want to wait until you stop growing or else you could get surgery and then get bigger. im not 100% sure though.
ashley Augustine i had one when i was 15 and i was the exact same size and height as you actually. the only tip i can provide you with is to seek professional doctors and see their opinion. my mom thought i was overreacting with my pain but when i saw multiple doctors they all agreed and signed a waiver stating that i needed the surgery to continue competitive sports since i was getting injuries every single month. once i got it my back pain went away and i could exercise normally again. the surgery is definitely well worth getting.

I’m a size C, but after something happening to me a few years ago, I’m extremely uncomfortable and I can’t wear anything tight or with a low neck line without having anxiety attacks. I don’t know if insurance would cover something like that or not.
im so sorry for whatever you experienced, stay strong. i think you should try bringing it up with your insurance company and doctors to see what they think.
I honestly think you’re insurance won’t cover it because they’ll look at it as a enhancement rather than a medical reason. So in my opinion a therapist would be a really good option for you and if you decide you want the reduction you can always save up❤️
Insurance probably won’t cover it unless theres something medically wrong. Anxiety attacks aren’t enough to convince them.
theoretically you COULD get them to cover it as mental health reasons for reductions are sometimes covered like dysphoria and dysmorphia, but it’s a lot harder and would need a lot of fighting on your end and paperwork from people who also support it who are mental health workers. i’m so sorry you went through something like that, i hope you find relief from that pain soon💕
@@ethelindamorte921 anxiety attacks, or panic attacks are definitely a medical necessity if they’re causing an interruption to your daily life… some insurance will definitely cover that, especially if a therapist agrees.

No, I just had my surgery done and it has to stay in proportion with your body. So they made go from an F to a small C
mokaboo i had one when i was younger and overall it is a difficult surgery and it could potentially be dangerous if you go down too many sizes since the breast contains a lot of vains. i was only allowed to go down 2 sizes.

At 5'2 and 200 lbs your BMI is 36.6, and is classified as Obese Class 2. Most surgeons will refuse operating in patients with BMIs over 30 due to the much larger risk of surgical complications.
Because of this you are not a good candidate.
Cwb0051 if you haven't had it yet, yes you're a good candidate. I'm 42 and weigh 195lbs and I'm also 5'2", don't smoke, drink. I only have asthma which is controlled. (I was 275 and lost 100lbs in the last year and a half from bariatric surgery but gained back 20lbs during Covid so I was only 5lbs less than you at surgery). I just got my reduction yesterday morning with no issues whatsoever. No drains, nothing....My doctor took off 6 pounds of tissue/skin so I'm 189 now...lol...I was a 40DDD and once swelling goes down, I'll be somewhere around a 36 or 38C. I already have feeling in my nipples as well so no loss of sensation for me...I say go for it! ❤

I was a 40DDD. Just had my reduction yesterday morning. My doctor told me once swelling subsides I should be somewhere around a 36C. They are perfect now....I love them. Swelling and all! She took out 6lbs of tissue/skin....

You should only consider it if it’s really serious and that you have stopped growing. I got my surgery at 14 because I had very saggy breasts (touched my belly button) and they were huge (34DDD at 115 lbs and 5’1 height) and gave me shoulder and spine issues. Insurance covered for me and my family didn’t have to pay anything because of how serious it was.
