  • INGREDIENTS:
    5 medium/large potatoes
    2 cups of milk
    2 tablespoons of butter
    1/2 cup of chopped onions
    3 cloves of garlic
    1 teaspoon of black pepper
    1 teaspoon of Cajun seasoning
    1/2 teaspoon of salt
2 tablespoons of all purpose flour
6oz of Cracker Barrel extra sharp cheese
    6oz of Parmesan
1 teaspoon of Dijon mustard (optional)
    DIRECTIONS:
Slices the potatoes (try to keep them the same size) set aside.
    Grade the cheeses
Then, add water to a pot, add salt.
When it comes to a boil, add the potatoes let them cook for no more than 7 minutes.
Then drain the water and rinse with cold water to stop the cooking process, set aside.
Now, time to work on the white sauce also knows as the béchamel sauce.
To a hot pan, add the butter, then add the onions, let it sautée for a few minutes.
Then add the garlic, after a minute or so, add the flour whisk while adding the milk.
Now, add the seasoning, salt and pepper.
After that, add half of the cheese to the sauce (make sure your stove is not on high).
Grease the baking dish, start to layer up the potatoes.
After the first layer, add some sauce then some cheese.
Repeat the process until you’re done.
Make sure to add some cheese to the top layer as well (I add some paprika, it’s optional).
Bake it at 325 degree until golden brown.
    Enjoy!

I had to pause and comment the time you take to speak in vernacular then translate into English is adorable. Much appreciated love. Continue

Thanks for your unconditional support, Lucnise; and thank you so much for the advice. It would have been much easier indeed but statistics show that people prefer listening to information instead of reading. However, My husband said he will caption all the videos.
