I had an old Geeetech Prusa I3 proW that was fully Frankenstein'd and when it died (again) I opted for the Ender3 S1 Pro. Even though the bed size is 8cm smaller I don't miss it. Very happy with the choice, wood, clear and standard PLA printing with no problems out of the box. Yours was one of the reviews I looked at before buying, thanks.
9:03 Couldn't agree more... I'm actually doing some final research on what I should upgrade my V2 Neo to, and I think the S1 Pro is what I'm getting in a few days when I get paid. Hey man, its really nice for you to share your experience using Ender-3 S1 Pro with us. I believe, Our World is a Shared Experience. Now the bit I want to ask you a favour. Hey, it's me and I brought a CR10 SE recently and I also own an Ender 3 S1 pro, and in my opinion CR10 SE is like an upgraded version of Ender 3 S1 pro with a more capable firmware "Klipper", which gives CR10 SE the capability to go at 600mm/s lightning speed and still maintaining descent print quality, which is somehow mind blowing for a bed slinger, also with some hardware upgrades for running at high speeds. That sounds too good in paper but in reality, for achieving such high speeds without compromising with the print quality, we need more complex and capable algorithms (like which Klipper uses, input shaping, pressure advance, z-offset ,etc) which is totally fine but with more complexity comes more challenges which is a matter of concern especially for beginners, also in my experience with both of these printers I have suffered a lot with my CR10 SE (especially in terms of print quality) as compared to my Ender 3 S1 pro, which prints slowly and uses marlin but offers me much higher print quality, sometimes input shaping doesn't works correctly and my print shows ghosting or ringing which is quiet annoying, especially if you want that print for some decoration or simply if you want it as you sliced, and in that case your precious filament which costs many dollars get simply wasted, and yeah if you guessed it why, then you are right, "because of speed" which Klipper provides and not merlin, I know speed is also important but in my opinion not as important as print quality, and if you agree with this, please help us by contributing some more content related to this topic on, "how to gain better print quality even at high speeds", also thanks to it's open source nature that we can tune it's algorithms as per our needs. Great video content and narration; but with so many cuts I felt like I was watching a Max Headroom video. I found myself looking away more and more as the video progressed.
Ender 3 s1 pro is adequate if you don't use the auto bed leveler. I couldn't get consistent prints until I stopped using it and just did it manually and now I'm ok. That said I can't stand how slow these printers are and the new fast printers are too loud. I'm hoping they figure out fast and *more* quiet so I can grab one.
If you run the S1 pro using Creality print with the E3 V3 KE profile you will get a big surprise even with standard PLA, it is very fast and nice and quiet while it does it. very good result. I would say the resonance setup is necessary if you want to go fast with the S1 Pro. it will surprise you. No doubt cooling can be improved but as it is it still does very well.

The max neo was my first printer and honestly, it was easy to set up and print. Great review. How often have you had to strip the head to unblock it. It’s the only thing I’d be concerned with following g your video. Great content, keep up the good work 🏴
I bought the S1 Pro a few months ago (first printer) with the SonicPad and I gotta say - I had about enough. I've tried several different ways of ensuring the tramming is perfect and cannot change. Right now I literally just have solid spacers, nuts and washers yet it still loses tramming here and there. So I can only imagine that the printbed is warping / moving / changing. Another issue is Z Offset - I don't know if this is a bug in the Sonic Pad or printer. I had now three (two PEI sheets and one glass bed) destroyed as for no reason whatsoever during a print the nozzle decided to massively accelerate and punches down into the bed. After having two destroyed PEI sheets due to that I also bought a Diamondback nozzle (unrelated to the issues) and it experienced yet again the bug where it rammed into the bed. Naturally the diamond nozzle punched through the glass destroying the bed. Maybe I have a lemon or something but I just put an order through for the Prusa mk4 ... hopefully this is working better. If not I may just give up 3d printing. What is interesting is the fact it looks like 9:18 your nozzel also had a close encounter with that build plate (mine was far worse though) :)
Hey there Mike R, first of all, wow that sounds like a truly frustrating situation you have there! I would be thoroughly exasperated with 3d printing if this was my first printer, based on what you described! it definitely sounds like you have a lemonized printer. Second, I hope the Prusia works out better for you my friend! Please let me know what happens with it
No, you dont have a lemon. That IS Creality quality. In this video Zack is speaking of tons of prints, while not showing them. He praises the machine a bit too much and acts like a poser. This guy is just one of those who were bought, sorry.
The K1 seems to have a firmware issue. A lot of people noticed underextruding after a couple of hours of use. I have 2 S1 Pro. I use them for work, but I'll eventually have to get a bigger, faster printer to pump up production.
Thanks bro I your review was helpful and entertaining at the same time. I like your style. You also made me consider other factors like the legacy and community support. Thanks mate from down under🇦🇺
Getting ready to pull the trigger on my 5th printer which is going to be the s1pro. I started off immediately with the S1 Plus.,And it is by far an amazing machine. I loveed it so much I bought a second one. And dubbed them Lilith and Brigid completely two different personalities. Brigid, I bought direct from creality out-of-the-box kicking ass. Lilith I bought third party vendor and took two months to work The Kinks out of, but with some patients and some TLC they are both kicking ass and taking names. In 3 days I anticipate having a halot mage delivered. Being an independent artist/sculptor and designer creality and their products have become an integral part of my craft. This has catapulted me and my business to an unforeseen whole new level. Isaac BlueWolf Art Sprite extruder It is an absolute Beast. And the first two times I had to break one down, it was a nightmare. Beginner Growing Pains I have it down to a science if the need arises. I figured out how to break free a jam without breaking down the extruder. Once the machine itself is tuned ,you can tune your slicer, I'm now returning my slicer and tuning the machines input functions, gaining speed, and still keeping quality cutting print time almost in half without clipper. I love your video. Good insight
I had an ender 3 v2 worked fantastic. Got an s1, works fantastic. Got two cheap s1 pros and a sonic pad. The absolute best. Nearly put about 200 hours and never had a jam. Redo the mesh every month and she is sweet. Cost me less than the ams for a bambu.
would all your views in this vid also apply to the ender 3 s1 none pro. as i have this model in a box after a house move, and was thinking to upgrade rather than unpacking it. i could still happily use the s1 as an above novice user, so don't mind waiting to see what comes out in the near future, but looking at what's available now it has given me the itch to start printing again. LOL
Hey l.l.coolray , that's a great question, the ender 3 s1 not Pro is a very similar printer to the s1 Pro minus a few upgrades but is still a solid choice, The question here basically boils down to budget in my opinion, if you're going to be happy upgrading to klipper and getting solid prints out at 100-150 mm and do not want to pay all that extra money, stick with the ender s1, but your willing to pay 600$ for aP1P and get all the speed and other upgrades offered with those printers, let me know what you decide, I made another video on klipper vs marlin if you're interested by the way
@@z-made I will make a point of watching that. As of what to do, I will wait a bit longer, maybe until after Christmas. That way anything amazing will be available, and if not they will be some good deals about. Until then the s1 will be out and I can brush up on my skills. Thx for the reply👍😎🇬🇧
Hell no. I started with the creality ender 3 s1 pro. Moved to the x1 carbon and p1s, never going back. Was a great experience to TEACH me 3d printing, but the amount of issues I’ve ran into throughout the process (which was great for learning) was not worth it in convenience and other things
Yeah I just got the ender 3 v3 KE like 2 weeks ago, I really love it but I’m about to grab the p1p or the x1c not sure yet. The A1 looks good too but idk if I have the space for it unless I print the ams holder on top which I’m not a fan of.

You are comparing a few hundred dollar device to a few thousand dollar device. Not even on the same domain
Edit: I have an a1, 4 p1s, and an x1 carbon…the statement still remains. And ive inested an extra 300 into my ender3s1 pro for an enclosure too. So my ender 3 s1 pro bundle and the enclosure ( at the time) was the same pricing of a p1s … still blows ender3 s1 pro out the water lol
actually more like 3 a year thankfully, again depends on the filament I find the carbon fiber filaments give me by far the most jams, so the 3 jams a year i mention earlier were all resulting from printing with carbon fiber nylon, but even that printed pretty well
Hi, Mr Z. First of all thank you for making a clear and engaging video. We are a research lab looking for a fine printer for our need of printing stuff mostly of the size of a few cm once a while. Please suggest one between 3 s1 vs 5 s1 pro.
Hello, I buy it but i don't know what nozzle has integrated, How can I know?

Hi, I have a Creality ender3 s1 pro printer, I don't have any problems with small prints, but when I want to print large prints, it says communication with the MCU is lost at different times and the printing process stops, when I want to continue from where it left off, it starts from the wrong position. Why does this machine give an error with large prints, I searched the internet and couldn't find much information that would be useful for me. I talked to a service and they told me that this could be due to overheating of the sonic pad, stepper or motherboard. I don't know what to do. Do you think cooling the steppers could be a solution, if you have published a video about this, I couldn't find it unfortunately. I would be very happy if you could give me advice. Unfortunately, I don't have enough technical knowledge on these issues. 😞
I love my s1 non pro printers, however I have changed the throat and so can do the same as the pro pretty much, oh and the light. Got the sonic pad for it to free up my pi4 which was a mistake as the sonic pad in my opinion is a very restricted version of klipper but it does work none the less. However while I do enjoy my s1 printers I have converted to other printers and left the s1 printers now for my kids prints lol.
@@z-made Ha... Where do I start lol. Bambu X1C, Ender 5 plus with Merc and Hydra as well as a ton of other mods. A voron v0.1 s1 and a v0.1/2 tri-zero and then my 2x ender s1's as well as my trust ender 3 v2 with almost nothing standard on it any more lol. Daily would he the bambu and the vorons, when size is needed then the big girl e5p comes out. Then when my kid wants toys the s1 printers get the work. They just work every time for his stuff and I do t want to mess with them as you know how kids are on waiting on things and I don't want to put any extra hours on the others unless for projects etc. Hence why I need to learn fusion 360 or onshape asap as I can really only use tinkercad now and it's not exactly what I want.
Thanks for the information. Just picked up an open box Ender 3 S1 Pro at Microcenter for $179. I was worried cause it said missing parts... The guy at the checkout who happened to know about printers opened it up to make sure everything was there. He seemed confident and I was content. I got home and put the thing together in like 25 minutes. The only thing that was missing were 2 extra unneeded screws. I've managed to level the bed and it all seems to work just fine. I blew it and didn't get any filament so Ill grab some tomorrow to test it. The "spool" that was included just looks like its gonna tangle up into a mess so I'm not going to bother with it. Im gonna have to get that sonic pad as well. I came from resin printing so this is my first filament printer. Are there any other must have upgrades to improve speed/quality?
Hey there TheMugwump1! thanks for the comment, truth be told the number 1 best upgrade you can get for the Ender 3 s1 pro in my opinion is klipper, and the sonic pad specifically, aside from that it depends on what you want to print, but the s1 pro is pretty dect out in terms of upgrades, aside from the sonic pad i would only suggest you pick up a hardened steel nozzle, and you will be good to go with almost anything you might want to print, if you want to print some more demanding filaments you might want to pick up and encloser for the printer, to reduce external influence on the part and maybe a filament dryer but these are far from essential, the s1 pro sets you up very well for a first fdm printer, good luck with your new printer, and let me know what you decide to pick up😊
@@z-made I made my first successful print of the test rabbit earlier after a few tweaks. Wasn't too difficult at all. Considering I got this for 180 bucks, I'm going to get the sonic pad next week and then some fast print accessories soon after. I'd love to ramp the speed up and I love tweaking shit. I'm printing a craftsman combination wrench holder now. This machine is going to be busy for the next couple weeks. Thanks for the reply!
Someone local has one listed on Facebook market place for $200, thinking about picking it and selling my Ender 3. I feel like the price is too good to pass up.
i don't have the sv07 although like you I have seen a bunch of videos on it, truth is I'm a bit of a sucker for the ender line up because of a ton of good experience with them, from what I hear through the sv07 is a pretty awesome printer, let me know what you decide 😊
Thinking the Ender 3 series is showing its age. While still a good low cost - starter - entry level printer there are just better options out there in the same price range. Then again there are tons of mods if you want to go that way.
Hey JustSomeHaloFan, Yes it can fit a helmet, of course, that also depends on which helmet you want to print, but if it can fit in a box of 220mm by 220mm by 270mm then you're good to go! i hope that helps😊
I have an S1 Pro and absolutely loved it until I got the Sonic Pad. I want to revert it to its original state but even I followed the steps to flash the firmware. It didn't work. My lcd screen is stuck on those little dots. Would you be able to cover the process to make it original? I would sure appreciate it. Currently my S1 Pro is basically an expensive toaster. And I still haven't thrown that Sonic Crap pad in the ocean. Ugh. Gilles
Hey Turtlerik, yes you most definitely can! once the sonic pad is attached to your printer, the touch screen is not usable at all thanks for the comment by the way
Thanks man I been debating to get the s1 or the pro, Theres a coupon for the s1 for that makes it $250 and the S1pro for $349. Its only bout a $90 difference. I'm just wondering if I should go ahead n just get the pro
Hey Son Yonatan, thanks for the comment😊 at this point, it mostly depends on your budget. there are a few differences between them. but for me, the biggest difference is the hotbed and hot end temperature that will get high enough to print in nylon, if you want to be able to print nylon at some point you might want to get the pro version, but like I sed before the bottom line is budget. please let me know what you decide to get
I have ender 3v2 ,and I want to want another printer, but i am confused between s1 pro and v3 se, especially since the se doesn't have all metal hotend any suggestions?
my friend and i are looking to split the cost on this printer for a good deal at canada computers which is $349.99 canadian dollars. as complete beginner printers, would this be a good printer?
This and the Biqu b1 SE Plus are around the same price on Amazon. Very soon I am making my very first purchase of a 3d printer, for 344$ I can get the B1 se plus... The ender 3 s1 pro is 389...the I'm leaning towards the Biqu b1 se plus, it far larger and made by the same company that makes creality's stuff...
I plan on printing lithophanes and some drones and robotics and misc household items, ie, organization items and other odds and ends, oh and I'm printing its own upgrades, I actually pulled the trigger and got the Biqu b1 SE Plus for 332$ from a different vendor on Amazon.
Hey great video, but I have a few questions. I actually picked up the ender 3s1 pro but unfortunately im running into the same issue that I did with my regular ender 3... During prints the nozzle after about the 5th layer starts to drag/ scrape my prints! I dont have a clue how to fix it, i currently use cura, ive tried many settings and get fix it
I don't personally have experience with the Ender 2 Pro... but my experience with Creality, in general, is very good, so id say if the Ender 2 Pro is in your price range it's probably a good bet
It would be good if you could inform your viewers that this printer does not recognise folders on the SD card, I finally got Creality to admit today that this is correct. their reply is below: If you put the folder in the memory card, the display will not recognize it, please do not put the folder into the memory card, and the print file should be placed in the root directory of the memory card. If placed in a folder, it may be misrecognized (Their spelling not mine). So there you have it, they screwed up the software, which is effectively a downgrade on this machine!
Sorry but my ender 3 s1 pro is just a load of spare parts and bollocks right now. Done everything with it, wasted rolls of filament "calibrating" and the amount of successful prints it had in its whole lifetime was surpassed by my Bambu X1C in a span of just 1 day of use! Insane how much screwed people can get when they purchase these el cheapo bedslingers.
imo, absolutely not. Get the Ender 3 V3 and buy a PEI sheet. dont even consider the ender 3 s1 series. They're slow and old in tech. I've has so many problems with mine.
In the beginning of the video you compare s1pro with x1 carbon??? What kind of drug do you use my friend?? X1 is about 10 times more expensive. You can't compare a cheap Toyota and a s class Mercedes...
It seems like you've got a lot of good information to share, but after listening to a 3 or 4 of your videos (I listen to videos without watching while at work), it's really difficult to listen to you because your cadence of speech from your edits sounds really unnatural. I think you'd benefit from re-shooting some clips so that each complete sentence is in one take, and adding a brief half to one second pause between spliced edits

That was because of a designflaw in the first series of extruders. They shipped a lot of upgraded ones that should fix this problem.
Isaac BlueWolf Art
Sprite extruder
It is an absolute Beast.
And the first two times I had to break one down, it was a nightmare. Beginner Growing Pains
I have it down to a science if the need arises.
Sure! thanks for the comment@@l.l.coolray
Plz upload more. Thank you. 😊
Subbed ty for the reveiw! how times did you have to fix Jams? Like 3 a month 3 a year??
actually more like 3 a year thankfully, again depends on the filament I find the carbon fiber filaments give me by far the most jams, so the 3 jams a year i mention earlier were all resulting from printing with carbon fiber nylon, but even that printed pretty well
i'm still using my ender 3 pro after 4 years
i put mine to work after 2 years stop, i order new part to upgrade mine to ender 3 pro v2
Hi, Mr Z. First of all thank you for making a clear and engaging video. We are a research lab looking for a fine printer for our need of printing stuff mostly of the size of a few cm once a while. Please suggest one between 3 s1 vs 5 s1 pro.
if the print size is small the 3 s1 pro sounds like a great fit
Hey TechieNI, glad to see you back, that makes sense, what is your main printer these days?
Brother why did you stop uploading videos ?!
@@TheMugwump1 For sure man, thanks for the comment😊
Someone local has one listed on Facebook market place for $200, thinking about picking it and selling my Ender 3. I feel like the price is too good to pass up.
Hey @gamingwithbean7961, that is an incredible price, just hope it's not a lemon😊
Bro why did you stop making videos? This was awesome
good question, send me an email and il tell you
Good video anyone have thoughts about sovol sv07? Want to buy the s1 pro but I hear the sovol is supper fast but I prefer the quality from my v2 neo
i don't have the sv07 although like you I have seen a bunch of videos on it, truth is I'm a bit of a sucker for the ender line up because of a ton of good experience with them, from what I hear through the sv07 is a pretty awesome printer, let me know what you decide 😊
Thinking the Ender 3 series is showing its age. While still a good low cost - starter - entry level printer there are just better options out there in the same price range. Then again there are tons of mods if you want to go that way.
Hey JakeInEurope, I see where you're coming from, but I still think that there is some fight left in the Ender 3 s1 pro
Im thinking of buying this I’d like to know can their printer make helmets? Like will they fit on the printer
Ugh. Gilles
I want to get the sonic pad. Can I get rid of the touchscreen completely on my 3s1 pro?
Hey Turtlerik, yes you most definitely can! once the sonic pad is attached to your printer, the touch screen is not usable at all thanks for the comment by the way
it's really 235 x 235 x 270 mm. Not sure why all the places list it as 220.
Thanks man I been debating to get the s1 or the pro, Theres a coupon for the s1 for that makes it $250 and the S1pro for $349. Its only bout a $90 difference. I'm just wondering if I should go ahead n just get the pro
Hey Son Yonatan, thanks for the comment😊 at this point, it mostly depends on your budget. there are a few differences between them. but for me, the biggest difference is the hotbed and hot end temperature that will get high enough to print in nylon, if you want to be able to print nylon at some point you might want to get the pro version, but like I sed before the bottom line is budget. please let me know what you decide to get
I found linear rails for the 3-s1 plus and they cost half the price of the printer itself!
🤦♂️ Hey Chris, can you send me the link? I gotta see that! 😊
What would you recommend? This or the Sovol SV06?
I have ender 3v2 ,and I want to want another printer, but i am confused between s1 pro and v3 se, especially since the se doesn't have all metal hotend any suggestions?
I have the S1Pro as well but is it really that much faster with the sonic pad?
Hey Juan, absolutely! the sonic pad supercharges the speed of the s1 pro
my friend and i are looking to split the cost on this printer for a good deal at canada computers which is $349.99 canadian dollars. as complete beginner printers, would this be a good printer?
yes absolutely
Your thumbnail says s1 Rpo ... not sure if you noticed this
😂 your right man. thanks
Hey Ryan, welcome to the hobby! I think that is a great idea, at the end of the day the best printer for you depends on what you plan to print,
I plan on printing lithophanes and some drones and robotics and misc household items, ie, organization items and other odds and ends, oh and I'm printing its own upgrades, I actually pulled the trigger and got the Biqu b1 SE Plus for 332$ from a different vendor on Amazon.
@@ryandavis4689 😁That's awesome Ryan! I wish you loads of success!
Hey great video, but I have a few questions. I actually picked up the ender 3s1 pro but unfortunately im running into the same issue that I did with my regular ender 3... During prints the nozzle after about the 5th layer starts to drag/ scrape my prints! I dont have a clue how to fix it, i currently use cura, ive tried many settings and get fix it
👍 Superb
Another informative and no B.S. video.
Hey David! thank you very much for your kind comment! im very happy you found some value in my video.
Still worth getting Ender 2 Pro? It's the cheapest and I'm just starting
I don't personally have experience with the Ender 2 Pro... but my experience with Creality, in general, is very good, so id say if the Ender 2 Pro is in your price range it's probably a good bet
Just got mine for $196, brand new, sealed in box.
God bless retail return liquidations, LOL!
Awesome! Let me know how it works out for you
“At least according to my wife”😂😂😂
It would be good if you could inform your viewers that this printer does not recognise folders on the SD card, I finally got Creality to admit today that this is correct. their reply is below:
If you put the folder in the memory card, the display will not recognize it, please do not put the folder into the memory card, and the print file should be placed in the root directory of the memory card.
If placed in a folder, it may be misrecognized (Their spelling not mine).
So there you have it, they screwed up the software, which is effectively a downgrade on this machine!
I can buy the ender 3 pro at a discount for 280,- Seeing how it's compared to printers that are 500+ it feels like a must xD
It was good but I've moved on from the creality eco system to all prusa.
Hey Tony, I can understand that, Prusa makes some awesome printers! did you get a chance to use the new MK4?
Hi.plz come back because we need you most now.
At what age should a guy stop using black lights as decorations?
Jump cuts are hurting my brain.
Yeah so where are the Cons?
Sorry but my ender 3 s1 pro is just a load of spare parts and bollocks right now.
Done everything with it, wasted rolls of filament "calibrating" and the amount of successful prints it had in its whole lifetime was surpassed by my Bambu X1C in a span of just 1 day of use!
Insane how much screwed people can get when they purchase these el cheapo bedslingers.
wow, that sound like you got a real lemon! sorry to hear that man
imo, absolutely not. Get the Ender 3 V3 and buy a PEI sheet. dont even consider the ender 3 s1 series. They're slow and old in tech. I've has so many problems with mine.
Over 4 minutes to come to the point we clicked your video for... come on
downthumb from me
Bought mine brand new and it won’t read an sd card. This thing sucks ass!
In the beginning of the video you compare s1pro with x1 carbon??? What kind of drug do you use my friend?? X1 is about 10 times more expensive. You can't compare a cheap Toyota and a s class Mercedes...
im getting sea sick from all your rocking back and forth, toward and away from the camera. informative video though!
Hey Yotata Potata, I'm happy you were able to still find some value from the video
Your jump cuts are too much man.
Hey PeterM, I hear you, I'm new at youtube and cinematography in general, and I'm trying to get better, I hope you can see past the flaws and get some value from my video
The S1 pro is literally garbage, nothing but frustration, no consistency at all.
