    Blink and James howlette. If you could explain about the connexion between the first aoa and the future return to it? If you could explain the pros and cons of retcon?what is your opinion of retcon. What is your opinion of the massive cross overs such as avengers vs x-men. Not the new one. I'm talking about the old 80's one. What about ff vs x-men ?

    Hello Rob, You've suggested that many of us post any requests we might have leading up to The Age of Apocalypse, so I've finally narrowed mine down to one character.
    For as long as I've been an X-men fan, probably the most confusing or the most tough to follow for me might be Emma Frost and the reason why is this. I haven't kept up with more recent stories in the past 10 to 15 years but when I try to, she's a leader of the X-men and Scott Summers lover. I have to admit that I've become baffled on how this could be. When I knew Emma Frost, she was more known as the White Queen. She was most known to me as one of the main members of the Hell Fire Club directly side by side with Sebastian Shaw. If I'm not mistaken, she may have saw sometime with the Brother Hood of Evil Mutants. However, I do remember that she was reformed at some point but I never knew how but she was leading Generation X next to Banshee, while training young mutants. Emma Frost has always become a mystery to me in terms of climbing the ranks within the X-men. While it seems like nobody trusts her, it always seems she allowed both her power and physical appearance to get close to a number of X-men. I was hoping that you might help me through this.

    Rob, I have my own production company and I have done many documentary style productions, and I like to say I appreciate the professionalism and the seriousness in which you take your audience. Your channel is growing because you take pride in what you do and your "very consistent" with content. If you continue to do what your doing with same care and dedication you have always done. I see you as a stand out "You Tuber" at some point and you become the model in which others follow in putting out You Tube content of this nature. Always know your strengths don't try and do too many things, stay a specialist, and before you know it you will become an authority. I believe you are building something very special here, I hope you know that as well. Thanks

    • @Alaethancar
      @Alaethancar 10 років тому +4

      Totally agree. Though in the interest of constructive critique: The show could be even better with some truncated audio. Before you add the video, I would suggest doing another audio pass. Take out the "um"'s, "sorry, I meant"'s and any unnecessary "what we see"'s. They make great opportunities to arrange your thoughts during freeform speaking, which you do quite well. But removing particle words after recording will add an extra layer of polish. You sound more concise and professional, shorter run times encourage more viewers, and the increased quality speaks to your professionalism and credibility. Give it a shot if u have time with your next video. (Note: as with every film "rule" there are exceptions. If the dialogue doesnt flow right, leave the particle in.)

    I considered myself to be well-versed in comics, especially x-men comics, but Rob I must thank you. You have enlighten me to the status of mutants. The reason they are feared so much is because mutant powers can range from something as simple as flying to something as devastating as forced spontaneous combustion of a living being(just a thought). They aren't limited to the circumstances that gave them their powers at all

    Hi Rob, great video. I noticed an inaccuracy though: In the Giant-Size X-Men Second Genesis story, the original X-Men had not yet formed X-Factor. The new team are recruited by Xavier to rescue the original team from the living island Krakoa (this is actually Xavier's second attempt to create a new team, as shown later in Deadly Genesis). It wasn't until the real Jean Grey had returned, after the Dark Phoenix Saga, that the original X-men decided to regroup and create X-Factor.

    No mention of Grant Morrisson's run? I thought you were ramping up to it. Marvel draft's one of DC's best writers to helm one of the most character driven runs. Morrisson explored deeply into the character's of Cyclops, Wolverine, Beast,Jean, Xavier, and he introduced some of the more colorful new students you still see today the Stepford Cuckoos, No-Girl, Ernst, Glob, Angel Salvatore (made it into First Class movie), and Quentin Quire who was played a pivotal role in the Schism event

    Cyclops wasn't a member of X-Factor at that time, X-Factor wasn't created then. The Original X-Men team had been captured by the living island and Xavier assembled a new team to go out and save them, that was the reason for the new team from within the X-Men comic book.

    I know its a comic book so maybe this is a dumb question, but is there a reason why Humans hate & fear the Xmen more than other supeheroes, specifically the Avengers. It seems kinda silly why the Xmen are more dangerous than non-mutant superheroes.

    • @wearle87
      @wearle87 10 років тому +41

      It's because human superheros are well... humans, where mutants are considered the next evolutionary phase and with all human evolution the more advanced breed kills off the last generation and that's what scares normal people.

    • @luiscastilloful

      Are you reading the comic or watching a video? Because if you are watching it then can you please reply back with a link. I'm pretty interested in what happened to all the mutants

      kenneth1win ok so the house of m reality reverted back, but Scarlet Witch went nuts and said no more Mutants, depowering most mutants, there wer 198 known mutants left. BUT, that means KNOWN, so no one knows if there were more (which there probably were). House of M is being revisited next year in marvels New version of Secret Wars we're alternate realities were combined together to recreate Battleworld. ALSO, this event will probably retcon all the time travel and alternate realities and combine them into one and recreate the multiverse. They Wil also probably retcon the awful Spiderman story lines Sins Past and One More Day.....secret wars will most likely "reboot" the marvel universe without rebooting continuity. Also, when I mentioned House of M being a part of it I mean that that reality still exists, because as long as a reality exists it replicates itself (because of decisions made and time travel) meaning that realities like Days of Future Past , Earth X, Age of Apocalypse and many more still exist

    Also. Rob,what is your fave line up of the x-men. From the 80's or 90's also what did you think of marvel 1604? Do you think that the x- men evolution series is better then the first cartoon series. Also did you ever read the manga version of x-men?
