I knew he scored a point as a random F1 trivia fact, but I didn't know he had a prolonged racing career. Especially reaching trucks, that's really cool
This is the weirdest yet funniest thing about F1 I think I've ever heard. Imagine a drummer getting into F1 these days with all the costs involved... Subbed and liked, your videos are super underrated and I genuinely don't understand why you don't have more subscribers. This is really quality stuff, especially the historical footage
Believe it or not this is my mums partner and your info in this video is on point well done 👏 Edit: this isn't a brag showed him the video and he was happy. He also said there was a story behind his first point, the mechanic left a spanner in the cockpit and he had to pin it to the side with his leg the whole race
Hey Jeb! Your channel will be in our description as the mystery UA-camr for our Tuesday upload! Love your videos, ignore the haters and keep doing what you do!
"Slim" got his nickname after a session with Willie Dixon and Memphis Slim in New Orleans, were he jumped in since their drummer was injured. Slim was a sailor at the time and was visiting New Orleans. He was also successful in F2, F3, and F3000. RIP Slim, cheers from Öland, Sweden (his home island)
@@matsfredsson9445never forget the story when he explained how the drummer broke his hand in the double swing doors on the ship. And the face he made explaining it
Were you an engineer or technician of some sort for ATS themselves? Seems to be a couple of people in the comments who've met or somehow been related to Slim himself, which as a UA-camr is amazing to hear!

Knew about him in f1, but didn't know he raced for tyrell or was a truck racing champ, great video, and we'll discussed

Wow, for real? That's honestly pretty amazing. Thanks so much for telling me!
I would have toosed it out the cockpit like a banana in Maria kart

Wow, I haven't seen a video of yours since like... Last year
He was the only driver to score points on Avon tyres, invented his own LSD DIff and also flappy paddle gearbox
Great video. Drums and F1. Cool combo. Weed ain’t « hard drugs » though.
Ah! Slim , a good guy, we built the ATS for him. If you read this Slim l still have the .... magazine you gave me :-)
