A fun fact that I really liked about Palmer's doctorate skills is that he was the first doctor to arrive at the scene of Jacques Laffite's career-ending crash at Brands Hatch in 1986. Racing with Zakspeed at the time, Palmer parked his car by the pits, jumped out and helped the medical crew in extricating Laffite out of his car. He went on to finish the race in 9th, albeit 6 laps down from race winner Mansell.

During his career Ayrton Senna's (full name Ayrton Senna da Silva) name was pronounced the way we all remember as "air ton" however in the 1994 season Murray Walker announced on air during a session (can't remember which sorry) that he was going to from that point on pronounce his name using the correct Portuguese pronunciation (eye-air-ton). Roseanna Tennant the narrator of this video is simply using the correct pronunciation in Portuguese.
It's kinda sad Clark just wanted to push cars fast. He didn't care for the fame. He hated staying in tax exile and loved being back on his farm. His talent was arguably the greatest any f1 driver has ever had. He may not statistically be the best to me he always will be. The most complete driver of all time!!!
I had the pleasure of visiting his reopened museum in Duns last August (my parents' house is about 45 minutes away) - it's strange trying to connect a "World Champion" with the surrounding quiet villages and farmland. Apparently his proudest moment, more than anything in racing, was being awarded the Freedom of Duns from the mayor, ceremonial key and all - although there's stock footage of him being very uncomfortable receiving it in front of a crowd and having to make a speech, which looks like it's being tortured out of him. (It also taught me that trophy size is in no way reflective of the race won - some of the minor series cups and plates are many times bigger than his F1 championship silverware!)

Well said, Clark was an absolute legend. Hearing his contemporaries like Sir Jackie Stewart speak so highly of him, gives you a real appreciation of his talent and personality. In one documentary I watched, Dan Gurney was overcome with emotion talking about Clark and that was 50 years after he died.
