      Good morning. Just a tip. The fabric that you're covering you're dough with goes in the bowl and you flour the fabric before adding the dough. It will release a lot easier for you.

      @Echols2009 I have the same bowl and cover and in the instructions it came with it says you can use as a cover or insert. If you do not use it as the insert you just flour your bowl really well.

    Been baking this bread my entire life, but there are a few things I do differently for better results. It’s the last stage. Let the bread grow directly in the dutch oven if you want to bake it covered, or in any baking pan. The lead is optional when baking. I use a glass pie baking pan and parchment paper is not needed if you sprinkle flower on the bottom. For even better nonstick results oil the pan and then sprinkle flour. I use corn flour to make it crunchier. Let the loaf of bread grow really big and don’t touch it. Bake for 30-60 min depending on the size of your loaf. A big loaf requires an hour at 350 degrees. You’ll end up with a very fluffy, delicious loath of bread. Refrigerated bread will turn just- baked -fresh if microwaved for 30 to 60 sec.

      What causes American wheat to have Glyphosate and not European whet? I have to eat gluten free because of my joints. I was diagnosed about 20 years ago with Ankylosing Spondylitis and had a lot of pain. I read on a message on the AS website that this lady had relief from the pain by eating gluten free. 20 years later after eating 100% gluten free I have gone to Rheumatologists and they say I don’t have AS. Yeah!!! But when I eat anything that has gluten in it, my joint pain gets bad, not as bad though as if I didn’t go back to eating GF. Thank-you also to the wonderful chef, I can’t remember your name and I don’t want to lose where I am, for this wonderful video!!!! I am new subscriber!!!

    I so much appreciate a gluten free recipe! As a Celiac patient, I'd like to interject a couple of "be careful" comments, if you don't mind? 1. If you are going to use reusable bread bags, it's awesome, but be very careful not to use the same bag for your GF bread as you might use for other, 'normal' bread that you have for other non-Gluten-challenged family members. They must never be interchanged. 2. The problem with store-bought gluten free breads are that they use SUGAR to give the bread structure, making them a challenge for those of us trying to cut out hidden sugars in our diets. I'm anxious to try this recipe to see if it will rise or brown without sugar in it. 3. The basket for raising the bread must also be carefully segregated from anything used to raise gluten filled dough. Because of the airiness that these baskets have that make the bread rise so well, they are a trap for bits of wheat flour that would get into your GF bread dough.
    Again, I so much appreciate the gluten free option!

    I love your vids and subbed your channel but need to make an important point. You are using the banneton incorrectly. The cloth piece isn’t for covering the bread, it to be used to line the banneton, the French refer to the cloth lining as a couche. You instert the couche into the banneton then dust it with a good almount of fine rice flour or corn meal, then place the dough in to rise. This method allows you to flip the bread out and not have it deflate or get stuck in the bottom of the actual banneton frame. Using the couche will help you get a far better rise for your fantastic recipe.❤ 🍞

Our old farm house was cooler . I have bought bread from the store and in a week was almost green as grass from mold . Also the date wasn't expired . Where they make the bread if they have mold spores floating in the air , that loaf of bread is a perfect place to grow . Even with preservatives . Have a great day ma'am I enjoy your videos .

      Try making gf cornbread, using a gf flour mixture instead of the wheat flour. You probably can’t taste the difference.

    Your video is so great and entertaining, thank you. I love the southern flair. I wonder if I can just add a bunch of sunflower and sesame seeds to make this more like the bread I usually eat. I can't see why not!

    OMG. I love bread, like Oprah Winfrey!! Lol. I stopped eating it. But you caught me when you said 2. Gluten-free. 2. Homemade butter bring stored outside of the fridge. And 3. Homemade jelly.
    OMG. Luv it. And you are so right about homemade bread being a feeling on that last bite. Bread, butter, jelly and an egg are one of my favs with hot tea or coffee. And it's filling. ❤it!!!😊

    My mother is gluten free so I guess I'll have to convert the different amounts of ingredients for our next dinner! ;) Also, here in France, it is a bit complicated to find dry yeast like yours: it comes as a half-moist cube that we have to keep in the fridge, so it can be complicated take the right amount...

      Maybe consider getting yourself a bread maker? The bread maker itself does all the kneading and baking once you start it. It can be a kind of heavy appliance, but if you plan on regularly making bread it could be a permanent fixture on your counter.

      @Gina-lx3zp Рік тому +1

      @AureasMortem Thanks for the advice! 😘 I don't really want to use a bread maker. Because they are heavy and cumbersome and either way there's storage issues either on the counter or under the cabinets.
