Recipe and ingredients:
3/4 cup lentils 160 g.
grind in a coffee grinder.
where are you from?
write in the comments.
I really love greetings from different countries.
1 glass of water.
mix well.
1 tablespoon olive oil.
2 eggs.
Salt.
mix well.
1 teaspoon of soda.
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar.
40 g psyllium seeds.
mix well.
Let it soak for 10-15 minutes.
30 g pumpkin seeds.
30 g sunflower seeds.
fry in a frying pan.
the dough is swollen.
mix well.
Grease the baking pan with vegetable oil.
I lay out the dough pan.
I grease the top with a little vegetable oil.
make an incision.
some sesame.
Bake for 50-60 minutes at 180°C.
the bread is ready!
wonderful bread form!

This bread has very tasty crackers that are simply cut and dried in the oven.

I’m watching from Charlottetown Prince Edward Island Canada. I’m very excited to try this recipe. What if you wanted to use canned green lentils? How would you change the recipe? I would want to do that because that would decrease the lectins in the lentils. It’s 9:30 pm here.

But I like soaking the lentils. For reason, when they're soaked, they don't cause as much bloating....

It is also good and hygienic to rinse and "clean' the grains we consume.
Especially if you soak with a little apple cider vinegar ( works with all beans, neutralizes lectins)
Are u able to still grind the lentils if the are soaked?
I soak them, then use an immersion blender to kind of puree them...

Hello again...stay away from stuff from Canada...it's mostly g.m.o..
I'm sure the green or yellow lentils will work just as well as red ones. Probably find you can add all sorts of other things to the mix aside from pumpkin and sunflower seeds (like chia, flax, and for a nice spicy twist - some Nigella and/or onion seeds too).
Treat this like your basic go-to recipe and let your imagination experiment, sounds like lots of other people have various additional ideas already. 😊

Use both pumpkin and sunflower seeds daily. I do have a question…. I would love to make this for an elderly, diabetic in nursing home with very few teeth. Would I have to make adjustments to other ingredients ie water if I were to toast the seeds, as described, but then process in blender…adding to batter?

Actually the seeds won’t stay raw for long - they’re about to be baked. For ease of eating I would definitely give them a little blitz or chop first 😊
I think if you blend them to a paste it's likely to affect the consistency, but in the video it's a very stiff mixture, so maybe it would be ok to try that.

The recipe is for Gluten free, Psyllium is to take the place of the missing Gluten from the Wheat Flour, to make the dough springy and elastic. I'm not sure if either Wheat Bran or Oat Bran would do that, although there are alternatives if you can't get it.

Liked your recipe, but is it possible to add another gluten free flour instead of two cups of lentils?like one cup lentils and one cup sorghum flour? Might be easier on the stomach?? I’m watching from England
Maybe almond flour….
It is only ¾ Cup of Lentils for the whole loaf, but I realise it's not very big. The ACV neutralises the lectins in the Lentils, so should not be so bad, but you could certainly try Almond Flour if you're concerned.
Can this be made without eggs? If so, what should we use instead?
For one egg you can use ½ banana instead. So 1 banana for this bread! Lot's of fun! 😊

Soda in this recipe refers to bicarbonate of soda or sodium bicarbonate.

I can't digest dried legumes.Beans, Peas, chickpeas , lentiles, all cause heavy digestive troubles for me personanally and if your not allergic to gluten I still prefer my own homemade sourdough bread with old types of organic wheats and a large adition of rye or avena and I do add sunflowerseeds, pumpkinseed, linseeds a nd sesame seeds. In any event, I would never buy a bread in a supermarket! Ever!
