    I'm in my 30's now, but the hardest thing I remember during Hell Week for water polo in highschool, bear crawls. We probably only did about half a mile in total, but those sucked. As I get older, I find this saying to be true... "Do what is hard, and life becomes easy. Do what is easy, and life becomes hard."

I see a lotta of guys, bodybuilders mainly who have strong bodies but are still mentaly the low confidence skinny teen they was 15 years ago. They are never saticefied with there bodies and think " If I can only add more mass i will be happy" They really should fokus more on feeling strong rather than standing and looking in a mirror.

    We did something similar to the jump tuck for boxing training in the Navy but it was actually even more of a challenge. Instead of jumping up and pulling your knees into a tuck position as shown, try extending your legs in front of you and touching your toes with your fingers at the highest point of your jump. This requires more explosion and works your abs even more. You won't be able to sit up the next day.

      @@CHEZCANTERE Yeah, they're legit. Up a ton of stairs would be crazy. Bear crawls were the bane of my existence for the first couple months of that, then I got used to them and the torture became low stance work, long horse stance holds, twist steps, bow stances, coordinating the footwork on count. Legs would be absolutely dead at the end of an hour long class focused on stance work, and push ups and crunches would be the lower body breaks. That was the hardest physical conditioning work I ever did.

    • @CHEZCANTERE
      @CHEZCANTERE  Рік тому +2

      suicides are savage brother!!! especially if you pair them up with someone who is beast. i would do them in pairs. one person does the suicide run while the other waits to return. when he comes back then the partner goes. this helps to build that mental fortitude between indivduals

      @@CHEZCANTERE That's an idea. We used to do the whole team at same time...last to finish did one more round.
      I had them do two short distance bear crawls first, suicides and then wall sit. I had never done a wall sit before. 2 minutes...my legs were on fire!! Dusty hardwood floor, your feet start sliding so you have to press them into the floor.

    I'm so glad somebody said it. Pull ups for lanky guys suck. But if you can bang them out it makes your body confidence soar. Marine Corps obstacle courses have a ton of upper body centered treats for your enjoyment. Pull ups for reps is crucial if you want to get from the wall to the rope in time. I'm 6'5" 195-240 between cut and bulk. My distance of travel from full extension to bar is twice that of some of my more sub compact Marine brethren. Thank you for supporting us giants.
