First of all...LZZY is by far my favorite female voice out there, so I don't want my contradiction to your statement to be misconstrued as not loving this woman/band. As far as the genre being "replaced" or "overshadowed", I just don't believe in that. In today's world, you can turn on UA-cam and listen to anything you want. Is it being replaced on the radio? Eh...there are tons of radio stations out there playing rock music...some really good stations. And as far as the Rock genre goes...there are SOOOOOO many good bands out there. Shinedown, Badflower, Halestorm, Dinosaur Pile-up, STP, Dirty Honey just to name a few. I'm not just picking at your statement, so I hope you don't take it that way. Just tired of hearing how the Rock genre sucks with new bands...but the bands I listed above are incredible and touch on many "sub-genres" of Rock.

From great musical genes passed down from Incredible parents!. Particularly Lzzy's mother, who turned her on to promises in the dark, and Hell is for children. Just Unheard of vocals on all that Lzzy does. Works the studio mic as if she has a VU meter in her brain. Who need a compressor??

Halestorm is one of the rare bands (these days) who sound so much BETTER when they're live than on the albums (and the albums are GREAT).
This song is one of my favourite in the album, it's just so empowering. This acoustic version is even better, so emotional and raw. Your voice is just perfect, Lzzy.

Some people say that Death Metal or Metalcore singers have powerful voices. There are just all bark and no bite. When she sings, I can really feel the energy and power coming out of it. Amazing. Best female vocalist there is.
best voice and range ive ever heard in my 57 yrs...my first live show was in '77 and outdoor rock/country festival then Judas priest 79 /black sabbath in 80/ Zappa in 80 uhhhh Joan Jett Pat Benatar Debbie Harry ...Heart and 50 more, small venue and large...I have never heard such a powerful voice with such range ...go from blast your face off to Angel soft melody...its crazy amazing and I JUST HEARD THEIR MUSIC 2 WEEKS AGO BY CHANCE ..DA FUK ..THIS BAND SHOULD BE HUGE...BIGLY YUGE

This is a really interesting way of doing this song. Normally when big rock songs go acoustic it results in a really stripped down, softened version. I can't remember the last time I saw an acoustic version that still hit this hard. Very cool.

Like Jack Black, Lzzy has this amazing power to her voice, which I could almost say is hidden behind the music sometimes. It's so nice to get versions like this where we can fully appreciate just how rare and amazing her talent is.
I would not have envisioned an acoustic version of this. However, I am now blown away and thrilled it exists. Her voice is 'f'ing amazing!! And this song is POWERFUL.

Brett Young (young country artist) does these acoustic sessions in Nashville for his UA-cam Channel as well. I think it's a great way to show case a song in a different way. Kudos to Arejay for playing the cajon to hold down the rhythm instead of a big, bombastic rock drum kit. Very cool!

Since the advent of XM radio I have not listened to "new" music, sticking to the classic metal/rock channels. But thanks to UA-cam, I have discovered Halestorm and I am blown away. It started with their cover of Heart's "All I wanna do..." and went from there. GREAT BAND and Lzzy is amazing.
