There are no words for just how much I love this song. It hits home, so deeply. After listening to it (about a dozen times) the day that the album came out, I sent it to a few friends. Most reactions were “WOW!” and “Powerful!” One friend responded “that’s not you, you’re not hard or cold, even after everything...” I said “Right. But it doesn’t say heart of STONE, like the saying. It’s heart of NOVOCAINE. I’ve my tears, and now I’m just numb.” I’m always curious on the emotional songs, what the influence was for those songs. It’s wonderful that you have your music to help deal things. And I hope you know how helpful songs like this are to many of us.
I adore how Halestorm puts some kind of a fighting force in their sad songs, it sounds like "You broke me into pieces, but I'm still gonna kick you ass, you bastard". Unique touch.

She actually said she faced voice issues around her turning 30 because it started to sound different from a day to another and she didn't know how to control it. She thought she had a medical problem but doctors couldn't find anything. She was forced to check with a vocal coach and turns out her voice was fine just got more mature with age. She had to re-learn how to use it and to uncover the potential of this modification.
The song helped me so much getting over my last break up... girlfriend cheated on me several times while asking to marry... had a hard time, but u guys made me feel better while listening to your songs. Thank you halestorm ❤️

I watched you guys jam the fuck out in Glasgow a few weeks back and it was incredible to witness a night of pure hard rock/metal. Then... this acoustic set comes along and it's just as amazing. To produce such amazing music both in the studio and in person, across both hard and soft versions and for this long is why I proudly say Halestorm are my #1 artist.
