@@fangraverwolf5154 Yeah. Man I've been a fan of hers since i saw the "I Get Off" video. Saw them in a club like 10 years ago and met them afterwards and they were the coolest people. She is super sweet and so down-to-earth. Plus they are fans of my era's music so that doesn't hurt. She took vocal lessons from Steve Whiteman from Kix. She's so powerful live it's amazing. Fan for life!!
Journey is one of my all time favorite groups. Love so many of their songs. Hearing Lzzy put her slowed down and POWERFUL twist on this is pure ear candy. Absolutely beautiful.
Saw her do this in Lexington at Rupp Arena almost 3 years ago now and I was so mad I didn't get a video of it. Thank you for uploading it. Halestorm is definitely in my top 3 of bands I've seen live and really hope to get to see them again
@@Equalizer241 it's a stripped down emotional version (see Dee Snider doing the same thing with We're Not Gonna Take It). She didn't butcher it at all. She's not Steve Perry, but she's got pipes.
Why did she sing it a whole step lower?.. She could obviously sing in his range (and higher). Would be cool if she sang it a whole step higher in a studio version.
Shes great. But I have to wonder how long her voice will last. When you thrash on it like she does, it tends to really fade in the later years. I hope she is taking care of it and singing and using her fry in a healthy manner.
I feel like it would be an adaptation of the original, to maybe save on time or keep it fresh enough in Halestrom's style instead of entire one-for-one recreation with long languid notes That's the neat thing about art c: Reinterpeting the same base to work from changes vastly from artist to artist c:
She got one line wrong. Chill. I guarantee that Perry himself has gotten the lyrics of his own songs wrong at least once. They're Human and make mistakes.
@@DarkenedEclipse Show me where Perry himself got the words wrong. He's added word's when he was in concert with journey. Only too get the crowd involved. Other than that. Show me where Perry sang one of his songs wrong. I'll wait....
@@Equalizer241 Whether he has or hasn't is, ultimately, irrelevant. My point is that they're Human and can and will make mistakes. If you're so hung up when someone gets a single lyric wrong - which Lzzy has been known to do on occasion - then that's a personal problem you'll need to get over.
I don't think I could love this woman more. Dead serious. Damn.
I'll fight you for her lol
Seriously though her voice just does something to me.
They need to cover this song and release it on an album
Just keep it straight piano too
She just did a cover of it with Daughtry!
Their cover with Daughtry was just released last week! Go listen!
Yes! This was exactly how I needed to hear this song. Damn I love her!
Wow. Love lzzy so much. I've seen Halestorm 5 times and want to double that! This is a great slow unplugged cover.
Just seen her in Lexington..band was amazing, she was breathtaking..
You're so lucky you were at that show! She did some things that were definitely shocking.
This women rocks! I love her. I hope she is touring this year.
What an amazingly perfect voice! Love you Lzzy
She can do anything!! Much respect
She’s been around a while and she’s still not as well known as some of the other bands

She’s the best of Rock these days love her so much ❤
i would have to concur ;)
I saw Halestorm last year in St. Petersburg, FL. Lzzy really gives it her all and so does the rest of the band. What a great voice and a great show.

Would love to hear a full cover of this on their next Covers EP!!
She is phenomenal! Wow!
This is simply amazing 👏🏼
Superb vocals one of the best cover
The Daughtry and Lzzy cover absolutely kicks ass 🤘

Omg!!!! Love!!!!
Best female rock voice....................Period
amazing !!
❤❤❤
WOW!
I think this is the best slow cover of this song
Nothing's impossible for Lzzy!
Wow
Jeezus!!! ❤️
😍😍
I honestly expected her to butcher this, no disrespect to her but Steve Perry was a vocal god. And I really like what she did with it! :D
I understand. Steve Perry was a gift from the heavens. He was the perfect singer.
She butchered this song.....

That was amazing!!! Any idea what the next song was?
Usually plays 'here's to us' after this
I was at this concert. The next song was Dear Daughter.
Her voice is better than Miley Cyrus and she has more soul.....All I can say is wow. This is just amazing!!
wait wait.. miley can hit these notes.. miley can rock hard.. shes just in her lane at the moment.
💔
Obviously a Crowley deal! And when you all compare her with other female power singers you can add Pink.
Wow, fuckin wow....did i say wow yet!!!
I’d like to see her & Chris Stapleton work some majic together
Now I wanna know which was for the ladies
Dammit what was the next one

People shouldn't sing the song if they don't know the words......
Pathetic .......

Could have been an artistic choice, but yeah I’m not a fan of the lyrics being totally wrong.
