Sing using the correct technique and it's not a problem to get that sound without killing your voice. Conversely, singing with the wrong technique kills your voice even if it's in a calm, quiet style. It's all about technique and training.

That's true! And I have loved all of their music so far. I actually got to talk to Lzzy for a few minutes after a show in Salt Lake City before they were well known, and I must say she is a very cool, down to earth person!
