I did a swap engine (4g63) to my Galant and I don't really know much about mechanics and I bought the T.body S90 and had no idea how to put the TB hoses up and all the EGR hoses...GREAT VIDEO!!!
Hey Christopher, I recently purchased a Evo 9. One of my Piston rings decided to weld with the piston itself, and I had to do a full tear down and rebuild. I'm almost done putting it back together, and some of your videos have helped me along the way. I have a line in the rear of the engine towards the bottom that looks like a oil line to something. I don't know where it goes. Been scratching my head about it!
Great video! This is the first video I’ve seen someone showing an actual egr delete on an evo. I’m doing mine. Looks pretty simple. The fpr solenoid, should I do the same?
On your valve cover gasket you've got an ambient breather hose. On my car, that port connects to the crank case and if you don't connect it to a negative vacuum, just in front of the turbo, it'll blow out crank sensors and cause pressure to build up at the bottom of the block. It causes no starts and rough idle. Just a heads up from my experience.
Fun fact, one of those solenoids can actually be used as a 3 port boost controller. It’s on EvoM somewhere. Also, what did you follow to remove the rest of the lines and solenoids from the back? I also deleted my egr but I left all of the other stuff back there.
On high boost applications this system has a lot of vacuum lines that can pop off and it's in the rear of the intake manifold so you can miss it without realizing.. This creates easy problems! I also did it to clean out the intake manifold.. In florida I don't have emission inspection so I don't need it but if your in another state you might need it. On the forums there's a lot of info on removing the egr and canister.
Hey man. I got a evo 5 and want to do this aswell, if I just remove the valve and use the block off plate. So just to double check there are two hoses that run from that valve to the canister that I would have to remove?
Please let me know what Dorman caps did you use for deleting EGR? Could you get me the links (sites) where I can find it. Did you get caps # 47389 and 47396? Thank you!
There are 2 that run from the back of block to the throttle body. Disconnect them and use one of them to loop both coolant connections on the back of the block and then the other one on the throttle body.
Youre a hero man, thanks for posting this! Have been getting code P0400 on and off for the last little while, looking like I might just do this to get rid of it.
Hey man, I'm becoming a fan of your videos. I have an Evo 9 same color as yours and also having an idle problem where it just spike for no reason to 3k. I'm also here in Miami by Kendall. I dont have IG but i have a facebook if u want we could help each other out with "Evo problems" lol
yeah you're going to have too much timing when ecu commands egr on. after you do something like this you really should be making sure you engine doesnt start detonating. Even more critical with boosted engines
Once again, it's Chris Goorbarry to the rescue. Anytime I have a problem with my Evo this is the first channel I check.

Hi! Can you send me a picture on my Instagram. @chrisgoorbarry
I got it figured out brotha! It was a ACD line

Thanks bro! I did delete the solenoid I purchased an stm fuel rail kit with an FPR its on one of the evo build episodes!

He found issue it was his wastegate
Should be getting a catch can soon! Appreciate your comment!
Awesome man. Good luck.
Let me hear your idle problem, maybe i can help. You have one of the cleanest engine bay that ive ever seen. Good job!
bro you gotta do something with the music it gets way too loud when you stop talking, love your videos by the way and im loving the new garage.
Appreciate the feedback!! I'll fix that!!
You ever take the canister out the back? I don’t see a video for it. I wanna do the same to my Evo. Good video chris 🤘🏽
Not yet bro but I probably will later on!
@@ChrisGoorbarry Ok. If u get around to it that’s definitely a video I’m sure ppl would watch.

There's a forum on it on Evom It's just 3 bolts and the solenoids and hoses really simple & That's awesome didn't know that lol!!
I just deleted the other stuff, that fpr solenoid looks like the one that can be used as a boost control solenoid.
Парень ты лучший, благодарю этому видео я понял как отключить мой EGR 😃👍🤝
Good vid. What’s the purpose of deleting the EGR? Sorry if this is a noob question

With the EGR and charcoal canister solenoids deleted did it cause any check engine codes?
No because my previous tuner had already made the changes
You have the link to the block off plates by any chance?

Correct! It should be almost the same since its the same engine
@@ChrisGoorbarry sweet thanks bro :)

Where did you get the coolant lines for the loop on the back of the head?

Did u have too tune after egr delete?
I didn't have too
What size hose was it for the throttle body coolant bypass

Awesome!! appreciated bro! & for sure once this covid 19 stuff clears out and there are car meets again let me know!!
@@ChrisGoorbarry for sure. Do you have facebook?
When posting any video, is better to tell viewers what year is this car?
Does the check engine light get on without the solenoids?
I didn’t get any check engine lights
I did the same job and didn't get any light on
Thankyou for your videos
So by doing this my car will pass DEQ?
I have my check engine light on and that’s what the code says
If you delete the EGR it will pop a check engine light. A slash to the ECU is required
Is it worth doing?
Will this mess with my tune if I do this?
I'm not sure. I would ask your tuner this question just to be safe.

Appreciated bro!
All these guys complain that he doesn’t specify what year the evo 8 is probably should just go buy a base mode kia
🤣🤣🤣
Do u have 2 reflash
