You can actually shift to 5, 6, and 7 with the handbrake mounted there without thwacking your hand? I looked into mounting mine that way but figured I'd injure my fingers.
i did hit couple of times when shifting to 7 but after some time i did get used to it i change my hand position you can try adding spacers so split little bit further
@@blackhelmet48 I wound up flipping my lever after finally hunting down a tool small enough to do the job (that was the hard part), then mounted it on the left side of the shifter. Pretty happy with the location.
Do you get any rotational slack on the shaft? Mine feels like the gear knob is a little loose. There is the MockRacer can fix but I haven't been game enough to try it yet.
@@blackhelmet48it won't work when it's connected to a game console via USB adapter. It has to plug into an existing Fanatec wheelbase with the RJ connection to function on a console since the console only recognizes the wheelbase as a controller due to the PS or Xbox chipsets within.
i have used logitech before its not even close fanatec shifter is way better in terms of reality its pretty close and you can allso adjust how stiff or loose gear shifter is so it much nicer
Logitech is literally the only shifter in the market with no resistance, so it's not fair to base anything on your experience with it (or any other non-DD Logitech wheel product for that matter)
logitech shifter is toy fanatec one is less toy there are much better shifters but price goes up we did not compare them he asked me if i ever used both and i told my experience so no need to be sad about it @@MrTARIQSs
How did you make it to have the clicking sound?
nothing it was like this
It does that when it's out of grease, mine clicked out of the box but I just greased it and it's not clicking anymore
@@Rayfloydz tbh without the grease sounds better
@@TopGGGGGGGGMaybe not if you’re in an apartment and have neighbours… 🤔🙄🤫😤😂
@@Rayfloydz how do I remove grease?

Nope its normal metal ones
Hi, Where did you get the bracket to fix the shifter?

@ man, I would love to have one, I bought the sim lab one which is great, but I would like to have more leg room
@@andreadeluca4660 you can easly customise with aluminum extrusion knowns as 8020
@@blackhelmet48 I have try to customize one, but the result is…. 🤪
Does it have a mechanical "clunk" when you engage a gear in sequential or does it fell more like a spring pushing against you?
Yes it does have but not like real one
why my shifter dont have the ,,click´´ sound
🤷♂️

@@blackhelmet48 hahaha that's good to know, extra immersion
😂😂😂yeah 🤘🤘
Where do I find the Tnuts to side mount the ebrake
it was included in the box
Does it work on consoles with steering wheels from other brands?
İt depends on your hub if you are using console compatible hub it will works with other steering wheels

If I use a Logitech Pro Whell (DD), does the shifter work directly connected to the USB of the PS5, for example, in the GT7?
@@albertonogueira4056 if you buy logitech pro ps5 edition will work via usb on ps5 with gt7
I bought the Fanatec GT Pro, it does work with my PS5 and PC. But logitech has a Pro series that gives the wheel extra feedback with GT7

Mine only lasted me 2 years, these are junk.
What was your next one ? İf mine fails i would consider
My main concern is if it has any resistance like a real shifter how well does it compare to like a Logitech shifter if you’ve ever used it
