Love the new S1K but that M1K is such a let down aesthetically compared to the outgoing bike. The 23-24 is something special. Definitely a bike I'll be hanging on to
Picked up a new '24 M1000RR when the news of the '25 was released. They cheaped out so hard. All that beautiful gloss carbon GONE. 23 and 24 will go up in value and much more desireable
Glad I bought a loaded '24 in that gorgeous racing red to replace my '18. I think they have taken a step backwards aesthetically. I also prefer the look of the 23-24 wings. More down force means more aerodynamic drag. Even at the track I don't need more down force. Guys competing at the highest level might need it, but I don't. Full Akropovic titanium exhaust, BT stage 2 with the air box flap delete and the temp relocate is perfection for 99% of guys that ride this bike.
Nice comparison! I spent a few hours today at A&S BMW in Sacramento. They had a 2024 M1000RR Competition on the floor. An absolute beauty in all shiny carbon. To be honest, I have not been a fan of the fairing style of the new M models. I much prefer the look of the 2025 S1000RR so I will wait for the new 2025 model. It’s too bad the winglets can’t be removed from the new S fairings.
You know we would like to know as well. Speaking for the 2022 s1000rr owners. A lot of us are very curious that if we can take those wings and put it on the 2022 S1KRR? I know 2022 is old but we would like to feel like we’re in the game too. Thank you for your time!
I like the new design of both but I think they could keep the wings only on the M version. I don't think there's point in keeping wings on the road version of the bike, given there aren't many people who can fully utilise the potential and aero advantages of this bike even if they take it to the track.
Matte carbon is more difficult to clean, which may be why they chose gloss for the wheels. It still saves weight, but also allows for a quick clean. But, to your point, they could have used gloss for it all instead of only matte for the majority. I personally would not mind at all. I want one of these bikes. I will take it as is.
@@sajonia29 buy whatever you think looks better. If you’re a track guy, the new model will be better with your knee down. If you’re more a straight line guy, 24.
Am not sure why BMW have went out this cheap route for the M1000rr wether its for cutting cost or play a different trend game but either ways it really sucks esthetically now. 23 24 models are a keeper.
Major reduced overall carbon, higher price here in germany. No thanks, the 2023/24 looks so much better. BMW made all the worse choices with this one. No wonder our entire Economy here in Germany is slowly dying out. We produce worse quality, for higher prices. So many layoffs. The Bike costs with the M-Package 45k Euros, I can get an H2 for that damn price.
Thanks for showing us the new bikes. Great to see you at the event. Look forward to riding them with you soon. 👊🏻✊🏻💨
Unfortunately the 2024 M1000RR and 2025 M1000RR winglets are not interchangeable. The lower mounting point locations are different.
@@Motomillion damn
What about the 2025 S1000RR and 2024?
Great walk around Troy! Alarm is a nice addition…wonder if there’s a way to put that on my gen M1K 🤔
It is an option that you did not select when you purchased your M1000RR.
@FastLaneD my '24 has the same alarm system. Did the '23s not have them?
I have an alarm on my 23 and it shows on the dash . You have to order it from factory .. or get it installed afterwards
@@Moto-Transport ah good to know, I guess it was an option on my bike that was selected then
@@lbguitar for sure it was £200-£300 option on order from factory 🎉

Just copped my 24m ❤
Could you sound a little more disappointed in the M1000RR please? 😁
why 😂😂💀💀
well, they made, besides the slip funciton, the bike worse in every single aspect, compared to the 23/24 models
Picked up a new '24 M1000RR when the news of the '25 was released. They cheaped out so hard. All that beautiful gloss carbon GONE. 23 and 24 will go up in value and much more desireable
True , but 25 is still faster
in the same boat as you, very happy with my 2024 purchase. hoping to drive mine to 100k and beyond lol
Lol 😂 typical "new owner" saying their bike will go up in value and be more desirable.
@blahblahblah3330 you're right, maybe won't go up in value, but it'll certainly go down slower than the '25s. I'd bet on that
@@blahblahblah3330 what do you ride?
13:00 I’m waiting for that video! I need the evidence I can upgrade my S1000RR 2024 fairings with the 2025 ❤
Superb review ! glad you slowly covered both machines. I agree, not too thrilled about the M-Winglets. I think I'd go for the S1RR.
Prefer the 23/24 easily. Thank you for coming with the info we NEEEED. Will definitely be standing by for the fairing switch.
Thanks for the new video with the S1000RR and M1000RR models 2025

I don't regret picking up a '24 S1KRR for a discount.
My 2024 has been in the shop for over 90 days
They definitely should’ve stuck with all Carbon on the M1K
Nice the new S1000RR looks good. Can you do a side by side with the 24 and 25 S1000RR to show the difference in the winglet sizes?
@@andreolivier8530 we’ll post a photo and make it look like the same bike with with different fairings on each side

That radiator has been through hell on that 25 S1000RR 😭
Hey, I ordered the new 2025 S1000RR and I wonder if the lower faring is the same as the 2023/24 models because I want to put the carbon one 🤔
That hammerhead shark is for the ocean

is the front wing fairing is remobable?
Hey man hope u are doing well
Is the m seat a extra that u can add to the bike or is it standard?
@@jacopienaar9157 the 25 S now comes with the M seat. If you want a lower seat, you can get the standard seat separately

Does the M have any carbon? Wonder if it has any matte carbon if it does. Not sure, no one mentioned matte carbon in this video so I'm curious. Thanks
is the faring real carbon or plastic
So less carbon, lower price?
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Any idea if they remapped the bike to get rid of the massive dip in power thru the mid range ?
Thats all emissions related unfortunately. At best it'll be the same
@@jimhanle2971 still has power dips, like previous years
Can you take off the winglets?
The message from BMW for this year is clear. Toprak won WSBK so we'll make our bikes look and feel crappier and make them more expensive.
Classic formula
But why would they do that?
@@Mr_everything10 Because they can get away with it. The prestige earned from the championship enables them.
I wonder if the throttles are able to be swapped

The M TFT screen showing a 1300 GS is telling you to buy a better bike.
missing 22's now
I can't wait for this winglet fad to go away! Make them an accessory please.
Damn I want the new S1KRR I am scared of the reliability though.
At Least those massive winglets would make great seats
i think they took an L on the M1k this year going matt carbon..
Where is all the carbon fiber ?
I’m a big fan of both.
so should i trade me 23 for this?
M1000RR disappointing getting less for the same price 😞
It would look great without the wings.
I'm 3 minutes in and I've already heard the word "carbon" 2,87 billion times. Nothing actually said about the bike though.
The only thing I can say is that it must cost less.
Carbon down
Price up
I hate these big wings. Maybe 2023-24 side fairing will fit and it has detachable wings
My mind screaming…stop touching stuff 😮💨
2025 they made it cheaper but cost more.

That fairing wings are disgusting in M1000rr
With the complete reduction of carbon the M isnt as special imo

The RR looks so so bad. Losing the carbon fairing is criminal. The matte carbon also looks like shitty plastic
