The Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RR is not selling well so there's few around locally for really good prices. I'd buy that. Fit ABM clip on raiser kit for a bit of comfort. Then I would have a stunning looking, light bike with all the electric goodies and comfort for way less money. Not many of those around so it would feel more special as well. Don't care if it is down on power a bit since speed is 80% rider and going 180mph on a straight high way isn't all that exiting to me anymore.
Definitely agree with you, Mani, As an owner of a 21 M1000 RR I definitely got caught up in the hype when the bike came out, but the S 1000 RR is more than capable and the price difference leaves a lot of money on the table for track days tires etc....
100% right, I got the most base version s1000rr and upgrade it. Also same with Ducati Panigale v2. Got the basic version no limited edition, upgrade it and make it your own. V4S and V4, I choose V4 just because so many easy things you can do for much cheaper with quality components and considering we really don't need everything else that are on the bike as is in it's upgraded form from the company.
I bought BOTH of them 2020 S1000 RR M Package & 2023 M1000 RR added Carbon Fiber, Full Exhaust and Brentuned them. Both bikes are AWESOME to say the least. However the 23 M1000 RR Kicks just a bit harder💪🏾👍🏾
I just bought a new motorcycle this year. I went with the S1000RR just because of the looks. I prefer the look of the S1000RR vs the M1000RR. I would love to liked the M1000RR as I own M cars. But I really like the look of the S1000RR with the M package.
Yall need to get the naked M1000R. I’ve got a 24 and I love it ! It’s another great option. I like it better than my RR I had. Does everything the RR does better except top speed. That’s where the naked is limited.
Do you keep it to the street or also take it to the track? Is the M1000R significantly more comfortable and street appropriate than both the S/M1000RR?
@@ethanwhitney6168 the bike does both awesome. Like I stated it’s only draw back is the top speed isn’t as high. More comfortable ? Yes in every scenario lol. It’s the RR but more fun to hoon around on and more comfortable
Yeah cause it's was totally bmws fault, that they tuned it, removed the restrictions, and dyno it before the break in, that they did other power adders, that they bumped up the rev limiter....🤦 no manufacturer of any bike or car would pay for that. And lots of it was posted on UA-cam for everyone including bmw to see. They knew If they did cover it then that would make many people think, "hey they cover it for motomillion I guess I can bump the Rev limiter and over Rev it and not break it in properly. They took care of calimoto and had his bike back to him with in 2 weeks because he followed their warranty rules! Every manufacturer has standards to follow...
@natecote1971 bro the main caps on the connecting rod came loose. That was happening 100% regardless of what they did. When I rebuild a new engine for someone, know how I break it in? I heat cycle it 3 or 4 times, then I go out and give it the beans. No babying the engine. If something let's loose, it will happen to me. Not the customer. Plus there are multiple documented cases of the connecting rod main caps coming loose on those bikes. Manny didn't do anything wrong.
Thank you my persian bro, im deciding between these two and this video really helped! I love race bikes and benn riding RR my whole life but the naked one is also really good and comfortable! I might rewatch the video again! ❤
Completely agree. I purchased my 2024 back in February and just got the breakin completed and I love that thing. I can’t wait to get the bren tune n headers but this is an easy answer.
M1000rr isn't worth any where near what they get for them! Best to get a S1000rr base for 18,000, buy the M1000rr fairings, get ohlins suspension front and rear, full exhuast, tuning, brembo brakes and other goodies for the same price yet have a much better bike
Thank you as always for making these videos. I love your content and customer service. I will say though, there are a few things that may not necessarily be addressed about the 2024 S1000RR in this video. I have the 2024 M package with every conceivable box clicked. My bike came with: 1. Titanium Akrapovic Headers, as well as the muffler. I believe this is specific to the race package when ordering the S1000RR but it's been a while since I ordered it. 2. The 2024 S1000RR will come with carbon fiber wheels (when the package is ordered) and the M1000RR now comes with forged. 3. I believe the cylinder heads are the same 4. It comes stock with a 46 tooth rear sprocket, just like the M1000RR. It use to come with the 45 tooth. Not saying this is good or bad, just a similarity. Both come with the M Endurance chain. as well. I actually had the choice between the two bikes and went wit the S1000RR. To me it's a better value for riding on the roads, while still providing track level performance that exceeds 99% of our abilities. You can't beat the electronic suspension on any bike set up. Manual setups are great for a track but not as conducive to changing road conditions. I will tell you I haven't seen one with all the bells and whistles go for 26k.
I would only disagree with you saying that the M1000RR has an upgraded suspension. I've always read that the S1000RR' front suspension is more of an upgrade over the M's because of the fact that the M is the homologated model so they gave it the basic suspension so that changing over to a racing suspension is easier.
Same with Ducati, V4 Base vs an R gets you 95% there. The extra 20k can load that bike up with an exhaust, tires, wheels, clip ons, rear sets, track days, training, tires, warmers, stands, protection, annnnnnd a couple services. Or buy another bike an RSV4 and have the best of both worlds.
The Base and R have a completely different engine on the Panigale V4, it is way more of a difference, but I can make this video as well to talk about it.
I bought the S1000RR M Package with carbon wheels back in '21 and still happy with it. Can't find enough reasons to upgrade to a '23/'24RR or M1000RR. Looks maybe. But then again I have an H2 ('23) for beast mode😄
S1000RR and customize it to your taste. I’ve been seeing a lot, and i mean A LOT of people having all sorts of problem with the M1000RR. For the price you’re paying for the M it is not worth the headache of having something break on you every other week. S1000rr
Same thing I did. Picked up a 2020 with 1300 miles on it for 16k. Has the electronic suspension and forged wheels. Then started modding it to my liking. M1k is pretty sick, but I would never spend that kind of money on it.
I couldn't be happier with the route I took. Went RR in red, akra full system, added carbon and then chose dynamic package + M chain & TPM from factory. I get all the fancy tech and comforts while saving carbon rim money for the fun mods.
I just bought the s1000 RR M package I was wondering could I get the front break cooing covers and will they fit on my bike and what sorta fender elimination kit rear break light setup and swing arm bracket plate holder do u suggest…. I need help putting this together it would be easy if I had the my usual Kawi ZX10s but I’m stepping into this German field of things what do u suggest please comment back, I too wanna be an enthusiast.
Which one should you buy? Based on the state of the customer services department and the lack of warranty on broken in engines that go pop, none of them.
Manny, I would love to see BMW come out with an s1000RR that has the single sided swing arm component like the ducati v4/v4s/v4R. Now, that would be wicked...

I'd go for the S1000RR Sport (with forged wheels, electric suspension, floating discs, lithium battery, etc.). Then I'd add some of the carbon and billet bits. I'd stick the titanium akra headers on and get a remap. Lower the final drive to 16/46. Finally I'd put a Corsa Corta master cylinder on the bike. Should just about cover everything...
As a Ducati Fan boy and owning my Streetfighter SP2 that I still own. I gave in and bought a 2024 BMW S1000RR recently. I love the features and tech on this bike and got all the packages that I could carbon billet endurance chain etc with the M forged wheels as the carbon wheels to me are too risky for the street although I have my SF to worry about. For me it was never a question. S1000RR all the way. But i must say the bodykit of the M is really nice. How come we still have no aftermarket Bodykit for the S1000RR. I would pay even 3k to get the looks of the M.
I went with a full spec s1000rr 23 model with M wheels instead of carbon as the roads here would destroy them. The slide control is worth a mention too as a capable rider could benefit on the track but honestly it will never be used by me.
Thank you excellent side by side analysis. I think the folks that can afford either bike, are probably buying it to flex their wallet with friends and neighbors. I don't think they can even tap into 50% of either bike's true potential. If I were in this dilema. I agree 100% with you and choose the S1000RR.
One persons money isn't the same as another persons money. Buy what makes you happy! Dont get caught up with what another man/woman would buy. Yes, it's unfortunate what happened to mani's and a few others' bikes, but you pay to play. I just bought a 22 m1000rr sao paulo for 33k and couldn't be happier as I've wanted a bmw m or s bike for over 10 yrs.
I've only rode about 200 miles since the first service with no issues. My dealer did the break-in at about 620 miles. I watch all ur vids and am def keeping an eye on the oil consumption and heeding ur warnings. Keep up the great work u are doing for the motorcycle community, man!!!
I just wish I could get an M version with the electronic suspension. I know you can buy a S model and get the carbon and stuff to make it look similar but the M being wider for bigger guys and having better internals is the main reason I’d want an M.
I've owned a 2020 RR and now a 2024 RR (2023+). The 2024 isn't even remotely the same as the 2020. Everything from suspension, handling, and geometry power delivery is different from the original k67. In fact, the 2023+ S models share the same cylinder head and airbox as the M. I think it would be fair to eventually redo a video comparison the updated S model. Not to take anything away from the M, which is a work of art.
@@Motomillion I’m having a coolant leak, and a clutch failure .. I called them today and they said well good news u only need a new clutch kit everything els is fine Waiting on parts from Germany gunna take another 4 weeks at least
I am buying one soon but not sure if i should go completely base s1k or opt for one of the packages like the premium or m package. Closest dealer doesn’t have a completely base s1k but the price difference is substantial from 19k base to 26k premium package. Also do the carbon wheels easily crack with normal street riding?
I got a new 2021 S1000RR m package but when I ordered it in August 2020 the M1000RR had not yet been released. In any case there is no way I would pay over €30,000 for any motorbike no matter how good it is. I think the S1000RR's are better for the street for the normal rider.
If it's the bling and bragging rights at bike night your after then go with the M. The rest of us will take the S and have plenty of money left over for mods, good gear and some track days to actually use what the bike was designed for.
My own money i"ll get a base S1000RR and then upgrade all around Ohlins - Brembo Brakes - corsa corta brake & clutch cylinder - rear sets - full Akrapovic and many more parts
s1000rr and fix all the weak links, dive into the engine and head work, stainless steel exhaust/ecu tune, forged wheels and not carbon, ohlins up grades, revalving, brembo upgrades with brembo masters. body work? not really, i don't race on tracks only ride canyons. real world riding is way different than tracks that have no rocks, no wild animals and no rain/snow/mudslides

The V2 bayliss actually makes sense with the Ohlins upgrade it gets. Adding the Ohlins itself to the V2 will bring it to Bayliss price.
What do you mean by upgraded it? Like a tune, etc.?

I am buying one soon but not sure if i should go completely base s1k or opt for one of the packages like the premium or m package. Closest dealer doesn’t have a completely base s1k but the price difference is substantial from 19k base to 26k premium package.
Also do the carbon wheels easily crack with normal street riding?
Completely base bike we think is the bang for the buck!
Go with the most basic one and then just customize it to your liking. Also, you shouldn't really have that problem with carbon wheels.
👽👽OH! MY GOODNESS!
WOW!
VERY AMAZING!
I REALLY LOVE IT...!!💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛
The ultimate riding machine❤
I got a new 2021 S1000RR m package but when I ordered it in August 2020 the M1000RR had not yet been released. In any case there is no way I would pay over €30,000 for any motorbike no matter how good it is. I think the S1000RR's are better for the street for the normal rider.
Do panigale base vs SP2/R
Definitely can. But the R has a completely different engine.
Mani, it would be so great to build that base model S1000RR bike, with Ohlins, Brembo, etc stuff on your Channel.
We may have a project coming up!
I'm with you Mani, S1000RR.
I had a 23 S1000RR traded for the 24 M1000RR. M1000RR is king. Mani knows this. He is mad because Pecco didn’t win COTA.
H2 is king
It’s a tough decision. I went with a v4r.
Agree 😊😊
Moi j adore la 🏍 les 2 sont superbes
Both 🎉🎉
Is than fastlane m1000rr or
Is it 350b m1000rr
I would opt for the model that doesn’t self destruct. Is that optional now? 😂
I think it is luck of the draw.
You’re a piece of work
WSBK Champ 2024 Toprak rides it well 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆
I think I like my 2014 HP4
Such a cool bike!
I love bmw s1000rr❤❤ i dont like the M1000rr but i love it. Mostly the s1000rr❤❤
Honda Fireblade RRR
The M-Sport RR for £36k is like a Koenigsegg of the bike world. Most 🔥 bike out there
23-24 S1000RR have the crackles with no tune too
The M has it very different compared to the S.
The S1K. The M1K are having too many issues this year, it’s ridiculous
I guess we were not the only ones.
@@Motomillion I’m a huge fan I just order multiple parts from your website for my S1K 24’ thank you. I’ll be doing more purchases
S1K all day..
M 1000 rr 100%
yes s1000r
YeS1000RR ? (:
I bought a S1000RR BASE in my country for $39000
That is insane!
Neither!!!!!!!!.. btw, if one was given to me, I would sell asap!
Awesome
I would buy an s1000rr it's cheaper. Besides the m1000rr has been having issues lately
I have s1000rr stage 2 but the standard 2023 M1000rr Competition is faster 9000rpm and above. 😢😂
Not too sure about that being a measure-able difference.
Put me on those bikes. I'll show you a difference in lap times 😜
After watching this video, I am convinced you are only paying double just to slap an ///M on the motorcycle.
Nope I’d have the Aprilia RSV4 all day long ❤
Aprilia is a great choice as long as there is a good dealer network near you!
Have fun in slow traffic- overheats!
Neither of them for me I have my eye on new Honda fireblade.
S1000RR
I will buy the "S" because the bank don,t want to let me buy the "M" 😅🤣🔥🔥🔥✌
You aren't missing out much not getting the M.
Neither because both engines will blow up at 400 miles! BMW is the least reliable manufacturer out there
And i’m sure you know that lol
s1000rr and fix all the weak links, dive into the engine and head work, stainless steel exhaust/ecu tune, forged wheels and not carbon, ohlins up grades, revalving, brembo upgrades with brembo masters. body work? not really, i don't race on tracks only ride canyons. real world riding is way different than tracks that have no rocks, no wild animals and no rain/snow/mudslides
Just M
HP4 Race
Mani got screwed because BMW was looking for Toprak’s salary.
👏
S1000rr better for street
We think so too!
@@Motomillion like your videos and your tasteful mods to the bikes, keep up the hard work
❤❤
