sorry, but I didn't like June Carter. a so-called woman of God who committed adultery and slept with another woman's husband. Desde Argentina, Joaquín debo decir que te amo!!!! Cada una de tus interpretaciones son mejor q la anterior y cada vez que te veo,tus ojos ilumina todo!!!!
Johnny Cash is my hands down favorite country singer of all. Grew up listening to him, knew his story, everything... I will, I bet never say this again, but I think this version is better than the Man in Black himself. Wow.
He's loving June's company as if there's no tomorrow and whenever there's a line like 'I'll let you down" he looks at his wife with the coldest eyes ever. And again gets brimming with life and joy while proclaiming 'it ain't me, babe' and looking at June as if he's declaring his freedom from the wife and love for June at once. No words for Joaquin Phoenix's acting prowess. He is just unmatchable.
T-Bone (Burnett) once again did a FABULOUS JOB~ !!! As Reese put it, "I told him I couldn't do it!" (Neither she not Joaquin could sing) And she called her lawyer right after meeting him to get her out of the movie. But her lawyer gave her good advice to "play" along. She learned how to play the auto-harp. And in one instance, joked that she sang one song 467x before it was right. But she also said, "The singing part was easier for me than the autoharp part. Playing the instrument was really difficult for me...We found an autoharp teacher through Catherine O'Hara...[She] basically puts all other actresses who try to play the autoharp to shame, and I told her such. But we found her coach and he ended up coaching Joaquin on guitar, too...."' Joaquin also struggled but acknowledged, "Of course I had doubts. But I felt a confidence in the people I was working with and in their judgment. To have someone like T-Bone Burnett guiding you through that process obviously gives you a great deal of confidence. When he said "You can do it," and "This is coming along," that meant a lot to me." Reese went on to humbly give credit where it was due, "You think you are a good singer when you are in the car…you can sing along. But then when you go in and you actually sing into a microphone for 4 hours straight…T Bone's responsible for every song that came out of me."
I don't care what anyone says, Joaquin and Reese were magnificent in this movie, the chemistry is amazing and Johnny and June would be proud.

June could sing but it really wasnent her talent. Her great talent was comedy. Cash adored her and her voice and encouraged her to sing more.
I always thought it sounded more like June than June
Desde Argentina, Joaquín debo decir que te amo!!!! Cada una de tus interpretaciones son mejor q la anterior y cada vez que te veo,tus ojos ilumina todo!!!!
Wait! This movie was 15 years ago!!! I'm growing old goodness.
Just what Joaquin & Reese was amazing 🤩 saying all this movie 🍿
Joaquin was robbed of his Oscar. It was a fantastic performance!😍
I never get tired of watching this Video!
He suits that country accent so much and his singing is phenomenal!
Reese and Joaquín ,amazing !!
Sometimes the magic just haopens. This is the best stuff in the film.
But we found her coach and he ended up coaching Joaquin on guitar, too...."'
Joaquin also struggled but acknowledged,
"Of course I had doubts. But I felt a confidence in the people I was working with and in their judgment. To have someone like T-Bone Burnett guiding you through that process obviously gives you a great deal of confidence. When he said "You can do it," and "This is coming along," that meant a lot to me."
Reese went on to humbly give credit where it was due,
"You think you are a good singer when you are in the car…you can sing along. But then when you go in and you actually sing into a microphone for 4 hours straight…T Bone's responsible for every song that came out of me."
I learnt that both of them met the actual Johnny and June themselves. They’d be proud of the two I’m sure
The joker had a good voice
Sure...!!!!!!😉😂😂
*HAS
Absolutely..
That is right!👍
The fact that Reese was the role of June Carter AND Elle Woods shows how good of an actress she is
Really admire the acting ability of both of them
Imagine Joaquin Phoenix singing AGAIN in a film after so many years in Joker - Folie à deux. He will slay it 💥
