We have the same Pearl-clutching evangelicals today, many of them are voting to restore the world back to a time prior to this.
When he’s on his toes gets me every time!!!!!!🥰
Elvis did that, however it really was black moves he was incorporating, I like the way the movie seemlessly shows us Elvis's childhood and helps us really understand the influences he took to and implemented. Beale Street, he liked real music. He took rockabilly and turned it into Rock N Roll. Nice. I really get it all now, wish I was there to see him in the beginning, before the Army.
I love how so many people are learning about Elvis because of this movie. He will never be forgotten.
@@TheBWWaterfront Same I wish I was there to him too and Also, I wish I was in the 60's
Yes!
@@TheBWWaterfront many racists in the South thought Elvis was a national security threat because he was bringing black music to the white masses!
His absolute defiance is just beautiful!
As B.B. King said ..Elvis had everything! Talent, charisma, charm. There's a reason he is the top selling singer OF ALL TIME. There's never been before and will never be again a more perfect entertainer. The greatest voice that ever lived.
You forgot to add he wouldn't be anything without the black people he stole from. Other than that you described Michael Jackson to a tee

@@jaquanpowell4605 Who invented electricity, light bulb, trains, cars, jets? And don't forget Yer bicycle! Every single item inside yer apartment was created by us. If it wasn't for us y'all still be in a cave.
@@jaquanpowell4605 Elvis was born in Tupelo , and he grew up & lived in Memphis : the South ; he loved & sang some black music , but he stole no one : you should know his real history , not to imagine one for him .
Maybe to know basic things about this , you could have a look of the praises about Elvis , those from Chuck Berry , from James Brown , Little Richard , BB King to undestand it more clearly ... even the praises from Mohamed Ali ( the boxer ) , everybody who knows this champ well , knows that Ali was really not this kind of man who could have sympathy for someone stiling something from black people . Have a look , please !
@@ELVISreincarnation Without the blues he wouldn't have a career. Without black people and our pain ya'll wouldn't have rock and roll. Almost all of his early songs were exclusively sang by black artist. Ya'll love to say Elvis was the king when we had Chuck Berry and Little Richard. Ya'll love Elv8s the same reason why Justin Timberlake and Robin Thicke was considered the kings of RnB, our music isn't digestible by ya'll unless a pale face is singing.
Austin's performance in this scene stirred up feelings an old lady shouldn't have toward a young man!!!🔥🔥💖
Love your comment, my grandmother always said, there may be snow on the rooftop, but there`s still a fire in the furnace.🌹
😂😂😂
Hahaha!! I agree!!
I agreed 👍👍👍
I don’t blame you sharel
The most incredible portrayal of the most amazing Elvis Presley❤
“Austin Butler stares down the lens and melts it.” - Entertainment Weekly Yes he does indeed! He did his homework for his role of Elvis. Austin delivered 100% and more. He better get awards! If he doesn’t, the awards are bogus. Thanks for uploading.
What a line. Truly piercing gaze 👏
AUSTIN BUTLER PUT HIS heart, soul , a lot of hard work , and two years full time living in Australia into becoming Elvis , and it shows SPECTACULAR performance on every level ! To many he became ELVIS! Give this young man an OSCAR he so deserves it!
Austin was freaking incredible!!!
The chokehold this scene got me in- 😫I CANT STOP WATCHING IT
This would be my FAVORITE scene.. Looks like we were seeing the real Elvis. The voice, moves, feelings, what he went thru... Austin perfectly nailed!!
Yes elvis was here in that scene. And with the drum falling off the stage, Baz did it perfectly.
Just watched on Netflix. Genius casting Austin Butler! No one could have done it better
Austin knows how to dance & move like Elvis Presley. This is definitely an Oscar moment!
This gives me chills! Austin embodies the spirit of Elvis..
I saw this movie one day at home with nk expectations... this scene made me a new Elvis fan. I cannot imagine how freaking crazy that should've been in those times
Just saw the movie ELVIS yesterday - it was awesome. I was a child when he became famous.
It revealed very interesting things about his life and his stance on social injustices during that time. He was a trail blazer.
I highly recommend you see the movie.
one of the best scenes in the entire movie!
"you looookin for trouble??? you caaamme to the riiiight plaaacceee!"
Austin Butler... wow... he did such a great job in this movie. He sounded like him, danced like him, sang like him, and looked like him.
Just finished watching the movie what a masterpiece
"But if you're gonna start a rumble, don't you try it all alone" Yeeeesssss! 🙌
Thank you Mr Butler for giving us Elvis it felt like he was back for a moment
"Of course you gotta listen to the people that you love. But in the end you gotta listen to yourself"
If that ain't inspirational, then I don't know what it is.
He’s so beautiful..His acting was amazing
Unsterblicher Elvis. Danke das es dich gab.❤
My favorite scene
His performance in this movie deserves an Oscar specially in this scene and suspicious minds scene.. I loved it
Yes his stage presence was outstanding....just as it was for the real Elvis!
Elvis' life story breaks my heart.
Austin gave his all in this film. He absolutely deserves all the recognition.
I love how even the musicians looked convincing, you can tell they had a lot of fun
This escene shows how much powerful was Elvis.
ELVIS WAS the whole package the voice, songs , moves, family, loving, kind , spiritual, charisma, handsome looks , energy ! 💙🙏
This scene is so mindblowing because incredible handsome Austin Butler nailed it with his amazing acting, singing and dancing. He really bring me to 50's when Elvis ruled and that's the reason I watch this outstanding video again and again......❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
This has to be one of my top favorite scenes in the movie!! Elvis was such a badass and Austin Butler really out did himself in this one i can't get enough of it!! its the literal the definition of an EPIC performance & that moment he gets up on his toes like that at 2:21 it made me squeal at home in my living room just like those girls! I can only imagine what it was like to see the real Elvis do it! but in that moment I understood why the girls were so crazy for him ...Elvis sure was one of a kind
That's for sure; and I never realized it during his lifetime.
Perfect actor !!!! I was watching movie in one breath. That’s brilliant, he definitely deserves Oscar 🎉
He spent THREE YEARS studying Elvis to do this movie . Three YEARS. That says it all. Stupifyingly great.
@@susansquire7968 and now he won the Golden Globe!
It’s incredible how this rendition of Trouble is even better and more dramatic than Elvis’s actual live performances of this song
you can top an elvis performance if you practice for 2 years to immitate him, record it with way better cameras and audio, a hundred different shot angles, police, mother, agent, drama, slow motion and even an orchestra playing in the background.
The actual concert at russwood was wild tbh, though he didn't sing trouble.
Sorry, Elvis did raw performances to perfection. This compared to Elvis is overproduced, not even close. You cannot and should not compare unless you understand music production
@@szanyivica mhm… and youre the expert on that, yes?
My favorite scene in the whole movie, Baby Let’s Play House is a close second. The amount of times i rewatch this scene is alarming.
Lol same. Those 2 scenes are my fav

@@TheBWWaterfront Hey, don't leave me behind. I have watched this scene COUNTLESS TIMES & it TAKES MY BREATH AWAY WITH THE SHEER MASCULINE SEXINESS OF IT!
Una de las mejores escenas de la película. Me encanta la versión de Trouble de Austin 🤩
es muy movida
Me siento hasta culpable por preferir su versión a la de Elvis :3
@@Yintennysson me pasa igual. Me parece superior al original, aunque esto podría no gustarle a sus seguidores pero es mi sentir

My favorite scene in the movie!!!!!! This is why he needs an Oscar
Wow, just wow! Hand the OSCAR on over to this kid. Never seen anyone as deserving.
Austin is a fantastic actor, he really captures the essence of Elvis Presley, he actually chills me! I played this clip to my 84 year old Mum and she agreed that he has got Elvis perfectly
Wow....wasn't expecting to be as blown away by Austin Butler as I was...he captured the essence of Elvis without seeming like an impersonator or seeming fake. No wonder Lisa Marie ( RIP😪) and Priscilla Presley were so complimentary regarding this young man. He even did an amazing job playing the older Elvis ( some nail one or the other). He needs to win the Oscar this year.....
The look in Tom Hanks when he wait for him to begin the show is priceless 🎶🔊💥🤘🤙
Music wouldn't be music without Elvis Presley. ❤
Uma das melhores cenas do filme, a outra, na minha opinião, é quando ele canta If i can't dream. Acho que essas cenas dizem muito sobre a essência do Elvis.

Austin Butler Amazing amazing actor I have never seen such a real emotional delivery that I managed to live that time for more than 02:30 minutes dancing singing acting with faces and mouths and visceral expressions a spectacle of acting Elvis Presley deserves this star that appeared in the cinema.
Austin Butler Did An Awesome Job Of Playing As Elvis He Was Great The Entire Movie He Deserves An Oscar.
And So Does Olivia DeJonge.
I love that he was told not to do what he wanted and he did it anyway. Goes to show that you should always 'listen to yourself' and don't let anyone block your light or spirit.
When he goes up on his toes! 😍😍😍
Like Real Elvis and Michael Jackson and Justin Bieber do
@@lukester939 don’t include Justin bieber in the same sentence as Elvis and MJ ever again.
This movie is the best movie that I've seen in a long time, this guy who played elvis is awesome, couldn't have picked a better person, ❤ it
This is by far my favorite scene from the entire movie. Austin Butler was just fantastic as Elvis. So charismatic and gorgeous and entertaining. This is by far my all time favorite movie 😀
The greatest show on earth🔥
it's like Austin was born to play Elvis. when watching the movie, it's almost like watching the real Elvis.
that's how amazing he did.
The best and provocative "Elvis" portrayal in movies.
I can't stop watching him..and I'm 73....
Yeah!!! 😂❤
Why telling us that you are 73? What does that have to do with anything ?
@yellowsugar5096 Has more to do than your reply, ironically. 😒
I love this movie and watching this part makes me blush and scream, Austin Butler did an amazing job as the King of Rock and Roll.
I love how committed he was to the role to do the King proud and perfected his talking AND singing voice❤
I've watched the movie several times and I love this scene! After the movie, Elvis can't get out of my head!! Now I'm a fan of two Elvises, the real one and the one in the movie! I'm on the internet asking that a program here in Brazil can interview Austin! Here in my country there are thousands of Elvis fans! #austinbnews
same for me, after watching the new Elvis movie, I've watched most of the real Elvis movies and seen or listen to his songs, it's a mystery, I never understood why people love Elvis so much, now I love him, so much.
Big fan of the real Elvis, unconditionnally for all my life but yes Austin it is like he was born for this role and rendering Elvis Grandeur, Grace, Wonder
Ia ser muito foda se entrevistassem ele
Like how is this even real? Austin Butler KILLED IT. Speechless
I can't stop watching this. His conviction, his spirit. ❤ ...let's take his advice & listen to our souls. We know who we are. ❤

The hand raise, the first note by the band, the little camera wiggle. I was sold on this performance in an instant.
