Hey Eric... welcome to the channel new friend! If you are starting out, this is a fantastic drone for the money. The fact that you are getting 4K AND occusync, and the photos are pretty solid considering the size of this sensor. So yes, pick yourself up a polarized filter for this drone and get out there and enjoy it!

I have a spark and I’m retired and I am now disabled. Being set on a budget it may take me a little while to get one of these drones but sooner or later I will get one. $400 is not bad for what you get and is cheaper than The higher price Mavericks. Gees i love this drone and its new improvements but yes, i wish they would get up to the Skydio 2 level of tracking...its amazing! The mini 2 sounded like it was working under less stress maybe? with the lower tone in your noise comparison.....just a guess? What a great way to test a drone with the blower! Love it...... Great info on the new DJI Mini 2 brother! Love seeing those Octopads in use too! Amazingly handy lil tools! I use mine often! Ty so much! BTW, Did you ever get in touch with adorama?

Forgot my main question.... with the ground sensor..... in flight over fields of tall grass, for example does it sense the ground or does it detect the height of the grasses? same question for tree covered land?
Good question, not sure, I have never attempted to land a drone (ever) in tall grass. Just guessing, I would bet it's going to mess with the sensors ability to get a firm lock on the ground. If I find some tall grass, I'll try this out and report back!
