Hello, nice video about amcrest cameras, in fact I own 5 of them at my home and they work perfectly! However I have a doubt, I own a property outside the town where I don’t have wifi (at this time) or cellphone capability so I will not be able to monitor that property via wifi or LTE (cellphone) but I would like to use the camera just to record any movement inside the house than can be activated via Motion sensor and recorded on the SD card and later in a weakly basis I will check any “possible” video recorded on it. My question is if I can program this camera without wifi to record just events activated by the motion sensor? I will appreciate your support.

hi, can more than one phone use this product at the same time...meaning can 2 adulkt children check up on their elderly parent on their own respective phones?
Not at the exact same time, because you will have to be logged into the app. But you can install the app on separate phones and they can both check in yes, just not at the same time.
Are you sure about that? cuz I think I saw multiple users in settings. Can someone confirms please?

The pan and tilt is not super smooth but it does pretty well (for the price), and yes it has digital zoom as well.

It does not list Linux as a compatible option so I do not know if you can to be honest.
Yes. Add the Google "Amcrest Web View" extension. Google browser MUST be installed.
Firefox will not work after they nixed extensions. Might try Firefox ESR?
I also use VLC Player to stream (no PTZ). Ivideon has Linux software for remote viewing anywhere (PTZ=yes).
All work great. I use Linux Mint 17.2, 18.3 and 19.1.
