Hey Jason, nice video. The Night vision on/off delay is a setting you can change. You might want to do that. I have 4 amcrest cameras. 3 of the older version of the camera you just reviewed and the 853 x16 zoom outdoor camera. All of my cameras have exceptional audio. As in I can hear a conversation from the other rooms. I don't use blue Iris. You should check out the 853 if you want to get license plates of package thieves. It's an amazing camera. I can provide some sample footage if you would find it useful.
I just came across your channel and have some suggestions for you. I am a big fan of Blue Iris, Reolink and Amcrest. I have some a few installs of Blue Iris and used may kinds of cameras. Amcrest and Reolink are my favorites. In one of your videos you mentioned that you wished to be able to see clips and cameras remotely. I hope you have found by now the ui3 web interface. It works really well. The other thing I noticed is that you set up your cameras using the find option. I you will have a better experience using the the drop down menu to select the specific camera that you are using. I have never seen the Reolink drop issue that you mentioned in one of your videos. I have one setup using 20 Reolink cameras and a combination of other cameras including analog to IP converted cameras for a total of 30 and Blue Iris is rock solid. Good luck. I am happy to answer any questions.
yes, you can change the delay for the night vision. l'm loving the amcrest cams too. love to see you review some of their 12-25x optical zoom outdoor cams, like the IP2M-858W
Can I monitor the footage in real time locally without an Internet connection via the smartphone app? I do not wish that any of footage goes to anyones cloud. Of course when out of the house some form of connection would be needed to set up. I want to use it as a single babymonitor and maybe add a second over time should I have second child.
you said you want to get something with better quality without sacrificing major features, meaning the 4MP Wi-fi PTZ indoor IP security camera is not really good. well what is your recommendation. I need to get something good, less expensive and bettr quality. Thanks Leonardo
Inquiry: I run a karate dojo and will be using this for when I am not there. Is there an easy way to disable it while I am teaching class? It will be extremely annoying if it's alerting me all through the class. Thank you.
Which indoor camera is better of the 2, Amcrest UltraHD 2K (3MP/2304TVL) WiFi Video Monitoring Security IP Camera OR this one (4mp Wi-Fi PTZ) ? I'm going to be using it as a baby monitor, as the baby grows and no longer needs it, I'll be using it around the house/garage. Which one has more quality? Thanks!
can i have this stream 24/7 but only inform me if it specifically detects a human - rather than any motion like an animal? Only want notifications if it sees a person. thanks for the nice video.
I need a camera similar to this one minus the PTZ but has wifi and POE so I can later ditch the ac adapter whenever I get off my ass and run a new line. I would just buy the POE splitter but that would look unsightly and I'm not comfortable placing it in the crawl space which has temperature fluctuations from -10F all the way up to 100+ F
Hi, would you be able to test the actual push notification time? I really want this camera, but don’t know how fast/delay does Amcrest camera perform. Thanks
I'm having a problem with my camera on the box it says that it is able to connect to 5g wifi which I have but on the app it says it only connects to 2ghz am I doing something wrong?
Can you share best video encode setting for both main and sub streams for this camera? Mine has alot of pixelation and I can't seem to make it clear. Any help would be great
Hi, I want to make this camera really wireless (no wires for electricity also). Can you give me the power rating for the camera in order to get a solar panel and battery for this unit before I buy one?
While I don't own this particular camera, I've had 5 different models of Amcrest indoor cameras and they all use a USB power supply. I'd suspect this power supply (amcrest.com/amcrest-us-standard-dc-power-supply-5v-black.html) on the Amcrest website is the one, so you'll need 5 volts at 2 amps.

Glad they are sponsoring you to some degree, be it free cameras, or cash incentives!

Hi Jason, what camera from amcrest or reolink would you suggest with the best motion detection that will send me text or email alerts?
What do you need to do to be able to view the camera from your phone remotely when you are an hour away from home?

Any suggestion for a camera system that would work with openhab?
Unfortunately, this camera is discontinued. The replacement 1041B has no zoom.
Why don’t I get the two way talk option ?
Can it be mounted on the ceiling
Why do I have to keep login on to view my live feed?
Does this camera make the click sound when the night vision is turned on?
Yes but not very loud
Is it Wifi AC and 1gb Ethernet Port ?
Hey Jason, you should look at the Foscam line of cameras..
