I think the interesting fact about the Doctor is their POTENTIAL to be evil. They have so much power, and yet they don't corrupt under it... but we see them fighting tooth and nail for it, for not _abusing_ it. The Doctor tetheres on the edge of corruption, but in the end always decides not to fall, always decides to be kind. And that is the metaphor here.

Agreed. He ultimately shoulders the bad karma willingly when bad things had to be done for the greater good. He never benefits from it and often pays a high price for it.

As much as I admire the Doctor, I do not envy the weight they carry through multiple lifetimes. It is not a easy thing to bear. Not by a long shot.

Not even the gods escaped the doctors wrath. There were three great time lords rassilon, omega and the other who name has never been revealed. I would assume the doctor is this "other time lord" stronger than both of them so they wiped his mind so he wouldn't remember who he truly is. Infinite energy, his future can not be seen etc. Who is the doctor actually? An great old God, a member of the grace?

Because how they will react is not predictable, except in its kindness an righteousness. And sometimes being kind and righteous is being compassionate and merciful, and sometimes being kind and righteous is doing the thing that no one else wants to do but must be done.

The Doctor’s ability to show compassion, love, empathy and acceptance, despite his many lifetimes of heartache, pain, sorrow and violence is the greatest power he has, if the day comes where he loses that power is the day that the universe burns to the ground, love your work my friend.
The doctor can be both good and evil especially when pushed soo far and when we have seen the doctor with a gun we run away.
Love this! There's a complexity surrounding the doctors darker moments. Because with everything the doctor has seen and done, everything they've lost, it not surprising that they've ended up with a certain amount of darkness in they're personality. The sad thing is that this darkness within them has meant that they haven't always made the right decision in certain situations. Thanks for this! ❤😊

Oh, this is brilliant. There is capacity for great good in The Doctor, but it's that acknowledgement of the capacity for great evil as well that really makes them such a compelling character.
One of the best "reveals" imo was that he was not just the doctor like he tells everyone, he is "The Doctor of War" which is so much scarier and he is probably ashamed of it.

I have seen many people say the doctor is not good or evil, neither a good man or an evil man(/woman/person). Simply a mad man in a box. I agree and disagree with this statement, as yes they are a mad man in a box, but they are also a good man. They always do the right thing in the end, even if they slip up. They always decide to be kind and right, though they have their moments of darkness

What would happen if I went to war I would go mad that’s the answer insane even that’s why I can never carry a gun or any weapon cause I don’t need weapons to hurt the ones I love the most or my friends or family just my words in fact, the entire world could learn a lesson or two about what it means in history. What happens when we use weapons to start a war it’s never a good thing I’ve seen it happen.
