JunDageki That’s where you’re wrong. It’s pretty well revered to this day. Even famous Cinemassacre racist, AVGN lackey and overall Internet lol cow, Mike Matei, mentions it as his favorite video game thus far.
His reaction...... XDDDDDDDDDD. This is why Kefka is one of the best FF characters in the series, it's how he acts. Even in FF6 for the SNES, you could see his reaction and that was in 16 bits!!!! (or was it 8 bits? I keep forgetting...)
FF had reactions in V. A more realistic version of IV and VI would be something I would support for the sole reason of Square trying to not get a 18 age rating.
"Cheeky brat, that one... Thinks he can just waltz in and cart off anybody he pleases; Who does he think he is? Never even got a chance to say I wasn't sorry...."
"And here I thought you were just another prepubescent pretty boy... Incredible! That's the most fun I've had in minutes!" ...O_O you were fighting, right? RIGHT???
oh Kefka how u make me laugh why with ur sense of craziness and such lol i love this cutscene a Jester who thirst for power and destruction yet so funny at the same time
@xShadowBlitzx even more technically it's an update, since it includes the story from the first dissidia, kind of like what capcom did to street fighter 4 and marvel vs capcom 3
If I had a nickel for every time I’ve heard a game character suddenly stop doing their iconic voice, I would have two nickels, which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird that it happened twice
I kinda prefered Shigeru Chiba's version of this scene... He sounds so depressed when he says that "Sure, it's been a pleasure" line, like he's heard perfectly fine what Vaan said, but then realizes the full significance of it. (Also like the Japanese version better because the depression better corresponds to Kefka's bodylanguage during that line.)
Nah dog, that's still sephiroth. I mean, they have very similar magical feats, one erasing a universe, the other literally creating universes to destroy them. But ones more impressive. Besides, one is directly quoted as to never go all out, and the other lost because he used too much power early on.
@@Big_BulliYes, that attack that destroys universes is absurd and is probably just visual effects for the player, if it could really do that it would have destroyed the heroes easily, it's the same when you face villains who literally throw planets at your head if that were really what what is happening the fight would end.
Kefka strikes me as the kind of character who'd be takign terra by the hand one second, and then he's turn back to find a lit bomb in his hand the next, and just look at the camera disappointedly.
Strange enough other than Caius Ballad kefka is acttualy the only one who managed to take over the world. Sadly as a certain sliver haired badass who shall reaimn unnamed. *cough cough* Serpoith *cough cough cough* hasn't oh well somehow he's still one of the best!
+Akiza DragonBane Emperor Mateus pretty much ruled the world when the game started. What's more, unlike Kefka, Kuja managed to make it impossible to live on the planet he glassed.
Uhhm no he didnt blow up the other worlds Supernova is overdone in general, I mean how many times can you destroy the solar system in one fight, its just an animation not an actual action done by Sephiroth
Does anyone else notice how Hades (the disney channel version) is some what similar to Kefka. Same kind of humor same plans (ULTIMATE DESTRUCTION) and they always get a girl! :)
And...I just watched Kefka's death scene. Shouldn't go running my big mouth before I know the whole story lol. That was sort of heart breaking the way he told it. Totally expanded his character and made it more awesome in his last 5 minutes...
I was totally thinking that too! He doesn't quite have the same flair for sadism as Kefka does (He's awesome, but he's still disney), but yeah, they are similar^^
If Terra wasn't scared of her own destructive powers, she could rip Kefka to shreds. I mean, she did take on 50 imperial soldiers at once and killed them all in minutes.
why does it say "(mumbles)?" He's clearly saying "think he can just waltz in and cart off anyone he pleases. Who does he think he is? Didnt even get a chance to say i wasn't sorry."
kefka is portrayed so perfectly in this game, a mage who gave up sanity for magic and power and they even implemented it into his move set with him being one of the more powerful mages in the game, also kefka's thong line when he was talking about kuja is hilarious
Kefka wants to destroy everything. He wants to torment Terra until she becomes overwhelmed with her powers and aids in said destruction. But remember, the characters in Dissidia are not the end-game versions; Kefka would be probably right around the Floating Continent point, and Golbeze woud be around the Giant of Babil time -- Sephiroth from when your party was chasing him, Squall pre-time compression, Kuja from before Terra... There is a logic to it though!
I love how he just says "Yeah, it's been a pleasure." in such a casual tone. He doesn't do that often.
I like how Kefka's mumbling is fully intelligible despite everything.
Alun Buss Someone just got too lazy adding subtitles, it seems.
Or more like Dave ad-libbed that whole thing and the subtitles were what the script called for.
@@TheBanishedWind I can believe it.

@Hunter Kaden yea, have been using Instaflixxer for months myself =)
The only time Kefka was nice enough to say something positive back.
+XenoCard XD i love how nonchalantly he is too, he's just like "yeah seeya"
I love the last line at the end: "Who does he think he is? I never got the chance to say I wasn't sorry..."
"Didn't even have a chance to say I wasn't sorry"
Funny guy.
kefka's voice is so weird a funny that when I heard him saying "yeah, It's been a pleasure" in the most "normal person" way I laughed even harder
If square ever did make a high tech remake of VI...I wouldn't mind too much as long as they have the same voice actor for Kefka.
or get Mark Hamill the joker i could totally see him voicing Kefka lol
Nahh not really stop comparing him to the joker
He's also Jim the Vampire from "What We Do In The Shadows"
That same voice actor voices Yazoo from FF7 Advent Children
"Well fine, you just go and take her with you then! After all, she always comes running straight back into my arms anyway. What do I care? "
Characteristic words of an unhealthy relationship
Me
Kefka's reaction is priceless.
The Joker and Kefka would be the best of friends.
+SilentAssassin927 And then try to kill each other
One of these guys can barbecue an entire city with a snap of his fingers. I think the Joker is a bit out of his league.
One can burn the whole planet into a flaming carnival ride.
Well as you look at Kefka, he's kinda much more of a joker character cause it's most obvious that both Kefka and the joker are insane.
Why else do you think they say he's the Joker of Final Fantasy?
Did no one catch that this is reminiscent of Locke taking Terra away from Kefka in FF6?
wiseguy240 Winston I felt a *subtle* reminder of that...
wiseguy240 Winston I didn’t play FF6
no because nobody cared about that game.
JunDageki That’s where you’re wrong. It’s pretty well revered to this day. Even famous Cinemassacre racist, AVGN lackey and overall Internet lol cow, Mike Matei, mentions it as his favorite video game thus far.

Kefka (singing):

+pineapplepeanuts Son of a submariner!
"Yeah, it's been a pleasure!"
Wait...what ? xD
"And here I just thought you were some prebubescent pretty boy!"
Ah, you gotta love Kefka.
That is why kefka is my favorite villan. He can make an always situation even akwarder

0:31 I like to think that he thought he was done with his recording and mid way through they told him he was still on
"Cheeky brat, that one... Thinks he can just waltz in and cart off anybody he pleases; Who does he think he is? Never even got a chance to say I wasn't sorry...."
Vaan trolled Kefka...
Not something many have been able to do.
The main antagonist of FF6 ladies and gentlemen
I love the fact he just freezes in motion for a minute
Even Kefka didn't see that coming.
he did saw it coming, thats why its funny
Vaan: the original mr steal-yo-girl!
Beneath the many layers of insanity; For a brief moment, we saw Kefka be a chill dude. I like this Kefka.
The most fun I've had in minutes!!!!
LOVE HIM!
My favorite cutscene in the game. Though the one where he listens in on Cloud and Kuja is a VERY close second.
"And here I thought you were just another prepubescent pretty boy... Incredible! That's the most fun I've had in minutes!"
...O_O you were fighting, right? RIGHT???
Swordfighting, yes.
Oh hey there Tyro. Or was it Tyrone? Our favorite Record keeper eheheh

Kefka let him take her lol
“And here I thought you were just another prepubescent pretty boy.”
As much as I love Vaan, Kefka definitely hit it right on the head with that one. 😂
HEE HEE IT'S FUNNY BECAUSE KEFKA SAID MINUTES AND THAT'S A SHORT AMOUNT OF TIME!!!
This is why I love Kefka as my favorite Final Fantasy villain. His essence reminds me of the Joker.
"Didn't get a chance to say I wasn't sorry!"
oh Kefka how u make me laugh why with ur sense of craziness and such lol i love this cutscene a Jester who thirst for power and destruction yet so funny at the same time
Ok now I'm starting to like Kefka more, best villain? probably not. But definitely the most entertaining villain in the series hands down.
Best villain to me for sure, but I respect your opinion
@@Vaisin That's rare now-a-days. Good on you for respecting dude!
Best is subjective but I will say he definitely is reminiscent of the good old days when villains could be campy too.
1:08 "I didn't even get a chance to say I wasn't sorry". Just...wow....perfect...
This whole cutscene makes kefka my favorite ff villain
"And here I thought you were just another prepubescent pretty boy"
To anyone who wants to know who the first was, it's Kuja
Kefka: *in a more normal voice* Yeah it's been a pleasure
Me: 0:35
I just learned that the voice actor for Kakashi from Naruto is the same as Kefka. My mind is blown 🤯
And also Yazoo from Advent Children.
Kefka talking relatively normally creeps me out more than his usual insane babble.
@xShadowBlitzx even more technically it's an update, since it includes the story from the first dissidia, kind of like what capcom did to street fighter 4 and marvel vs capcom 3
Lol "I didn't even get to say I want sorry" I loved kefka late reaction
And in the sequel to this game, she beats Kefka in one-on-one combat twice once she's no longer afraid of her powers.
Kefka is the Joker of Final Fantasy. Admit it.
If I had a nickel for every time I’ve heard a game character suddenly stop doing their iconic voice, I would have two nickels, which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird that it happened twice
The goofy effeminate make-up wearing Jester-mage is the manliest person in this scene.
"and what's worse? Parents are even trying hard to tell children to go study and study!"
Just LOOOOVE Kefka!!!! Espacially in the dissidia's!! He's hilarious and (of course) totally crazy!!

"I didn't even get a chance to say I wasn't sorry!"

"hm?" lol
0:31 Best line
0:50 is kefka scratching his butt? 0:
Yep - he also does that in FFXIV, complete with the trololololol prance-walk and casual 'horizontal floating while waiting for shit to go down'.
love the grumbling in the end, "never even got a chance to say i wasn't sorry", lol.
Kefka so confident lmao
I love the fact he can just float there in mid air... AND scratch his butt.
i laughed my ass of when he relized he was getting screwed ;)
What the hell....Did Vaan's acting like a new Locke? :v
I love that kefka the most dangerous evil and powerful villain in the final fantasy franchise... Is also the one that is easy to run away from XD

@YuriRPG well the story does say theres been other battles before both dissidia games so maybe they'll be a dissidia 011
Why do they have his last subtitle as “mumbling”? We can hear him better than some of Cloud’s lines!

I like the line where he is like who, what, where how ,why
Fun fact: Terra's blue outfit here is inspired by her default palette. Look at some glitch any % Speedruns of FF6 to see it.
Its based off of a really obscure Yoshitaka Amano artwork of Terra with that blue outfit
*Pt2* have had the same bond and friendship with Terra, which was part of the reason she was able to confront Kefka in the first place.
They already said that they wouldn't remake a Dissidia (In this form anyway. As a fighter.), and Theatrythm is the closest we'll get.
The most fun he has IN MINUTES!
kefka is portrayed so perfectly in this game, a mage who gave up sanity for magic and power and they even implemented it into his move set with him being one of the more powerful mages in the game, also kefka's thong line when he was talking about kuja is hilarious
@OverlordRollo sequel no can't happen, any new games released in the dissidia series have to be prequels.
