The verses and choruses are top tier music across all categories. If the song was just the verses and choruses, it would have been a single. Or if the breakdown was better. However, I think the breakdown just doesn’t complement the rest of the song very well. Which sucks because the verses/choruses are some of my favorite musical composures I’ve ever heard, and then I get to the parts I don’t like as much (the breakdowns/bridges). It’s hard to follow up the verses and choruses though. They did an outstanding job either way.
Shows how epic Throwing Copper was. The fact that such an awesome song like this had to get cut from that albums original release speaks to how many great songs that album already had.
