Oh hell, I was all set to be jealous of your brand new 970 Sennelier watercolor paints tubes. But it was oil pastels. I hate those messy pastels so I’m not mad at all.

LOL! No jealousy is not needed! I do have the full set 98 sennelier tubes.

Yeah oil pastels are messy. Though not as messy as soft pastels. I will do some videos with oil pastels.

I’m watching this while having a ball with my Graphitints. I’m loving this video, and learning about so many cute items I didn’t know existed. I think those “travel” brushes are just short brushes that fit in a travel palette, with an extender to make a normal length handle, much like the ones for colored pencils. I think the sandpaper with the Caran D’ache pastel pencils is for getting a finer point on the pencils. I could be wrong, it’s just a guess. Great video so far.

Thank you for this interesting and informative video. On the Etchr palette, I've seen some reviews that say the palette chart that is included is not made of great paper and so their colors don't represent well on it. They used their favorite watercolor paper to make their palette chart map anyway. In addition, I saw someone apply small bits of folded ribbon to the bottom of the ceramic palette so they could lift it out of the box easier. Someone else glued a big felt circle to the bottom of the palette so it would sit more softly and safely on surfaces. Perhaps these little ideas will be of use to you. Happy new year. May your crafting be filled with joy this year.

A D oh thank you! So many good tips! I think ribbon and some crazy glue would work wonders!

CraftingKaria oh wonderful! Hope these little hints make the mini palette a happy experience for you. Please consider making a video of your color selection and palette set up for us. We love palette setup videos.

I scanned the palette chart, and then ran a piece of 140lb watercolour paper through my printer printing out the chart. Then I could use it without fear of worrying about ruining my only one, and also make sure the chart was one the paper I most commonly use. It's not quite as perfect a circle from my cutting it out with scissors, but it works. I just tip the palettes out to get them out of the tin the way you did. Once the paint is dry I haven't found it so messy to do that. The ribbon system sounds clever, but I'm probably too lazy. ;->

Wow, I had no idea that the soft pastels could be diluted with water. I learned something new from you today. By the way, very nice haul! Good to see you.

I love those erasers. One is on the table next to me now.
I change the order of most everything! I guess it is like when you can't buy the whole series of TV or music and, instead, they put out The Best of... It is never MY best of! I used to play my records in the order I thought the LP could have been made, now I copy my CDs and put the songs I like in the order I like them and burn a CD to carry along with me.
I carry a pad and fancy little Frozen pen because I write and I tend to forget people's names. And I need my pads lined. The larger ones, I use college-ruled only!
Like you, I have my stuff by the keys so I won't forget anything. I, also, pack everything before I go to bed.
I color a lot of faeries and elves and am very dissatisfied with the non-range of colors for people of color!
Stewie thinks he is very pretty.

Sue Allen I share my drawings/colorings and sketches on Instagram. I have been working on a giant poster I got in the mail for free and decided to fill it with color in watercolor and watercolor pencil. Honestly I’ve never felt my stuff was good enough for youtube. 🤷🏾‍♀️ but on Instagram no one cares if someone is talented.

MONAI’ I know. I did a few at the end of last year. Drawing white objects on white paper and toned paper for colored pencils. I have been doing more work with watercolor pencils and colored pencils. I’ll see if I can come up with something. Oh. I think I have an idea. I could do something in the next week.

Don’t forget that they are made with honey...they will run and make a big ol mess if left in heat, turned on their sides etc....not the best for travel.
