Vinny, I love your passion for getting justice for Dan Markel and for his parents! I hope Wendi will be eventually arrested!! He was so brilliant! Graduated from Harvard, then Cambridge College in England and then Harvard for his law degree. I’ve read comments from his students and they all said Dan was a brilliant law professor. Dan’s mother, Ruth Markel wrote a book titled The Unveiling about Dan’s life.

What "pressure" could Hill have been under? The book wasn't even self-published, it was a VANITY published project for which the authors had paid thousands of dollars. They were calling the shots. Why didn't they take the ultra-cheap self-publish, print-on-demand route that would have left them without a pile of unsold copies? The whole thing is insane. Hill should never have been allowed to publish ANYTHING before Murdaugh's scheduled appeal.

    • @jlmann8109

She paid thousands of dollars to publish the book, so there was a lot of pressure. It would have been a personal financial loss. And a case can be in the appellate courts for years. In the USA we have freedom of speech and freedom of press which allows citizens to write freely.

Neil cannot stay out of the limelight. Him being the co-author to this book is not what ties his reputation to Becky Hill. It is his own behavior and the countless interviews he has participated in since Becky Hill's credibility was questioned.

Hopefully people will wise up and not do business with him.

Neil cannot be trusted either. His company (registered to him) was the publisher, yet he didn’t bother to run the book content through a simple tool first to check for plagiarism?! Just said to himself, ok great I’ll publish it? He also said he didn’t know who emailed his wife the picture and refused to answer the question, but said he would cooperate with investigators. It came out quickly after that the picture came from none other than Becky. Go figure. Then all the nonsense he said about and done to Lori! Yet he hasn’t apologized about it!! He said they pulled the book- well, it’s still available for purchase on Amazon! The only thing they did was unpublish their website and then republish with a “coming soon” banner. They could have bought back their inventory and stopped the sale of the book on Amazon- that would have been the right thing to do. But, of course, they did not! What a sorry excuse of a “journalist.”

I watched the trial and in the last hour, it was proven he was at the kennels on their land and his voice was heard there when Paul videotaped the dog because the dog had an injury. I think Alex found out that Maggie wanted a divorce and he knew all of his illegal business dealings would be found out by her lawyers! I also believe he and his cousin Eddy were trafficking drugs! Why isn't her plagiarism of the preface not classified as citation error like the ex- Harvard President Claudia Gay's free pass that was so much worse. It's how she obtained her PhD, career, and still kept a $900 million job. Being an academic she knows better and signed off in numerous Code of Ethics that she wouldn't do it and is trained how not to do it. Becky Hill was a first time book publisher who admitted to doing it once her co-author called her on it. I'm not saying it was right. What I have issues with is the complete double standard in these two cases and how the media handled them.

It’s so despairing to have to see Wendi Analson walking our streets instead of being placed behind bars for plagiarism (at the least) during this time while awaiting further charges for her part in all of this. As close and interwoven as this mother/daughter team is: does anyone really expect the thinking public to believe this was all kept from Wendi? Not a good look for the District Attorney.

The mother specifically told the son to have him roughed up & nothing more. It won’t surprise me if Donna doesn’t walk herself, honestly.

Maybe that's a long shot but she was a long term associate of the court and it wouldn't surprise me if she know Murdaugh.
