- Convicted murderer Alex Murdaugh and his attorneys want a new trial after claiming the Clerk of Court tampered with the jury. #VinniePolitan interviews two attorneys representing Murdaugh's jurors. However, they are on different sides. Joe McCulloch represents the jurors that claim Rebecca Hill tampered with the jury. Eric Bland represents the jurors that have a different opinion.

Agree with Eric 100%
I trust the other attorney as much as I trust Poot
Joe McCulloch is right that it is about the process and not only about preserving the conviction as Eric Bland is all about. This whole trial was cringe to watch. This is just another reason why there should be a new trial.
What a corrupt courtroom from the beginning to the end.. and end is not in sight. Agent Owens lying to grand jury to get indicment. Agent Owen going to the blood lab to influence them to change the report. Prosecution hiding the original report which was completely different from the one Owens presented to the Grand jury. Judge carried water and did all the favors for the state. And now we find out they even worked on kicking a juror off under false alegations, and influencing the rest of the jurors. It was corrupt and disgusting to watch how they "carried justice" and now we see more of their Dirty underhanded Justice via this Clerk of the court Becky.
The jurors claiming corruption better be investigated by forensic accountants. Poot & Griffin are dirty as h3ll.
I agree
Couldn’t agree more with you! They’re Shady AF!
The jurors better be investigated too for admitting having been corrupted.
Absolutely, they are so slimey
Jurors need lawyers now... unbelievable.🙈🙉🙊
The jurors wouldn't need lawyers if they didn't do anything wrong.
@@angiejorah there are indications they have done things wrong. There is a group chat where one of them said "who's talking?". These jurors put themselves at risk of prosecution for obstruction of justice. Defense is subpoenaing their phone records.
@@trigremlin These jurors are either 100% stupid or corrupt. Or both. I see no other option here.
They convicted a man of murder not because they listened inside the courtroom and understood the case. Nope. They convicted a man because a clerk told them to pay careful attention when the defendant testifies - and this, for them, was the proof of guild of the defendant. I mean... W H A T ?????
If the allegations are true, the clerk must be held responsible. But there must be no other trial, since we must assume that the jury has the IQ to deliver a verdict based upon the trial and nothing else. If not, then we cannot assume that the jury of a second trial will be more clever.
Furthermore, these jury members must be prosecuted since they misled the court: they were asked every single day if they discussed the case with *anyone* - and their silence was a lie.
Jury system sucks. Random idiots with negative IQ can decide the fate of criminals.

Kudos to Eric Bland for offering his legal expertise pro bono for jurors that already completed their civil duty by sitting through that grueling six week trial! 🙌
Agreed!
Pro bono?!? Please, he makes plenty, my lawyer acquaintance (not friends anymore) told me, ""you'd be surprised how much money people will pay when there afraid of going to jail"". ITS FUKN DISGUSTING
I bet Joey is being paid! 😉
This isn't about the verdict. It is about inappropriate interactions between the clerk and jury. The clerk should have NO interaction with the jury beyond ensuring basic needs. Even if the clerk only spoke to one juror, that is completely unacceptable behavior.
Exactly!
I think it’s more about the inappropriate actions between jurors and defense attorneys, but go ahead and side with a politician who publicly criticizes his constituents and makes them look like a bunch of country bumpkins living on dirt roads.
@@HeatherRose2023please elaborate on this I’m genuinely curious, you’re saying the jurors had inappropriate communications with the defense lawyers ??
How do we not know that a juror or jurors weren't bribed with money to say this? I know it sounds crazy, but... given Alex's shady past, it wouldn't surprise me one bit!
One word ! Are you serious? If you believe that to be true , rally for all people saying and BELIEVE them too. It is about the verdict and the acceptance of guilt. Think of the inappropriate behavior hurting Mallory, her family, Anthony being described by AM in the drive-by,Tony being talked to like ___ by dick,Gloria not visited by family she adored, the young woman whose hair was pulled out, Paul being the entertainment have a drink on me son, Maggie shot with a rifle like an animal,& that’s just a few to think on when thinking of completely unacceptable behavior.
“Miss Becky” and Alex Murdaugh might have some sort of past history. They certainly knew each other before he was indicted. He worked in that courthouse for years.
Wow, that’s an excellent point..
Make sure you buy new tinfoil for your cap
Sad for Judge Newman to deal with this so close to retirement. He ran his courtroom in an exemplary manner during the 6 week trial.
Yes he was a wonderful Judge
Judge Newman knew she was tampering with the jury.
He was a gentleman and knew his stuff. I really like him.
@@blueskize6340 well since no jurors told him of the issue he couldn’t act on it. He told them EVERY time they left court not to discuss the case. Curious-what more do you think he should have done?
Precious judge Newman is crooked too.
This has been orchestrated by the Murdoch and friends
Wrong. Orchestrated by Becky influencing the jury.
Of course, Alex control the jury for decades there in the same room. Mark Tinsley didn’t want to go to trial, Alex told him you won’t win with my jurors, that tells you the level of corruption in South Carolina.
They will come up with something else if this one doesn't work. When have a murder case here in Utah that already been to the Supreme Court twice. Psychopaths are excellent minipulators
Amen! That family is laughing their a’s off. This is diabolical.
There is no evidence of this
So glad Eric Bland is on board!
Been waiting for Eric... ❤
Why! Eric Bland seems to be obsessed with A.M .. He always has to comment on anything A.M . Now he’s offering free legal assistance to any juror! He’s like a groupie! That say Becky did no wrong! 1 day and he’s already inserted himself in the case! What other lawyers are tweeting out begging to represent any juror in this case! Please please pick me pick me! Who does that!

Because jurors tattle all the time. So weird no one would say anything. I think it was that football player trial I was watching and a juror told the judge someone had an apple watch on lol
@@deanashortt4166 Exactly….
The Clerk is an extension of the judge
The judge asked them repeatedly, if it was their own decision nd they had not been influenced etc .
Yet they were influenced by Becky. She manipulated them.
I wouldn't doubt they like and trusted Becky Hill. As the clerk of court, they probably assumed she knew the rules even if they may have thought the interactions seemed unusual. They aren't professional jurors, and this is a court official. I can see it being very difficult for a juror to "tell" on Becky, especially if she was well liked by the rest of the jury.
Exactly!
Slightly concerning the defence team can go knocking on jurors doors asking for gossip. I would have thought the jurors would have been protected from this type of pressure / interference
I'm shocked it was allowed in the first place
Like a conflict of interest
Investigate the lawyers. Somebody said to disbar them.
I couldn’t agree more!
The attorney should be investigated. He used the right to silence of the juries as if they were hiding something. Utterly disgusting behaviour.
"Oh Boy, I'm not too happy about the clerk interrogating a juror" - Judge Newman
And she started the investigation on her own without bringing it to the judges attention.
Juror 785 was dismissed for talking about the trial with at least 3 outsiders who turned her in. With recording. She was not dismissed because of a Facebook

Oh I didn’t know you had a choice. Is it voluntary in SC to do jury “duty”?

@@ferrari251 It's VERY easy to get off jury duty!
@@jooliagoolia9959Agree to a point. I’d definitely be an anxious mess with the partial power to convict or acquit. No thanks
What I've learnt from listening to people online with family members who are lawyers/cops, is ALWAYS get a lawyer if you're under some form of legal investigation! The investigators aren't on your side (even if you're innocent), they're on the side of trying to find the truth! A lawyer is the ONLY WAY you ensure your rights are preserved through the investigation/questioning process, so suggesting that the jurors get lawyers is actually a really respectful and considerate thing to say as far as I'm concerned! It's a pity that getting a lawyer is more commonly associated with the presumption of guilt, rather than an effort to protect your rights!
They're not even on the side of truth, they're on the side of a conviction - that they hope is the truth!
Old Harpoot suggesting that though was not a nicety or consideration for them, it was just the opposite. A veiled threat if you ask me.
I agree with you generally as to getting a lawyer and the reasons why but I don't agree that the defense was being considerate of the jurors to suggest such.
I agree, BUT it still sounded like a threat coming from the ones who are going after them. If a guilty verdict puts legal targets on the backs of jury members whenever the Defendant is a rich/powerful person, justice dies. If you don't make a lot of money, would you give someone like AM a guilty verdict after this? If you can't afford a lawyer, then you'd better go with "innocent."
This is serious, and the only way that protects the system a little is if the court automatically covers lawyer costs if your jury duty causes you to get into something like this. But it clearly doesn't do that right now.
When I hear any “former” expert immediately make ridiculous statements about the guilt of someone if they lawyer up immediately, when that’s exactly what we’re taught from the beginning of life by smart adults. I’ve been told all my life, by not only LE officers, but Judges & other attys, who’ve we grew up with. My FIL, 2 BIL’s opposite sides of families, ex boyfriend from the 80’s, & other long term family relationships, all LE, Attys & or Judges seated currently, have all told us since we were little the police are there to help you when you’re in crisis over a crime, but you always consult an atty before going to speak to any LE officer. When I heard ex FBI, Bobby Chicconi, speak on the mother from 8 passengers, or the other business partners arrest, & she lawyered up & began talking of her immediate guilt & is what all cops & FBI immediately think when someone gets an atty - makes the world know that cops are dirty, or this cop was definitely dirty, as that’s your legal right & has always been the smart thing to do. Any LE who suggests otherwise needs to not be on any force.
@@JWildberrythere have been tainted jurors since the time of the inception of the juror system. The fact that any juror may have been swayed by any other person, including another juror, on how to vote, what to vote, not actually going over the evidence fully, is a definite sign something may be going on under the guise of a cover up.
I think these jurors are being paid for some extra help! Don't believe a word they are saying...SOOOOO sick of hearing about this case
How much you think they got ? Would they be stupid enough to put it in the bank
It's the two jurors who got kicked out..the egg lady and another guy. SUS
@@jodievukmir3187 Actually at least one juror who deliberated signed an affidavit.
So quick to accuse the jurors but not the book writing attention seeking clerk.
Ohmygosh, I was thinking the exact same thing! In the least they probably manipulated them! Bribed, I wouldn’t be surprised at all. It’s no wonder the juror did NOT sign their affidavit! So much time has gone by since they gave their affidavit, yet they’re not comfortable signing their name to it. (This information is noted in the motion)
If they don't have a room big enough for 12 people, how do they do deliberations? That's so weird to have them in 2 rooms.
I wonder if any of this would be happening if it were not for the book?
Is it on tape.. recorded when she did it? Is it on camera? Then I don't believe ANYTHING Harpootlian or Jim G. says.
Good point
And other jurors deny it happened!
Well said Eric. The jurors were told everyday what the rules were and then got pissed about a book and now they come out about it? Come on
That whole trial was corrupt as it gets. Not surprised they also worked on the jury behind the scenes , as much as it was evidently dirty in the front of the courtroom. Agent Owens lied to grand jury to get the indictment, also went in person to the lab to influence them to change the report. Judge carried water for prosecution at all times. it was disgusting.
I agree with you.
Eric is a con!!
Your system is broken when those wrapped up in any trial can come forward afterwards and make money.
Thanks Vinnie! Crazy case but I think we all knew Murdaugh wouldn’t go quietly.
Exactly!
Quietly!! Really?! If you had experienced the ridiculousness by a justice system as this man has…would you go quietly? He was on trial for murder, not his financial mess! This should NEVER have been admissible! Mr. Murdaugh was and is set to answer for these crimes separately, and don’t say it’s about character. You can be the biggest liar and cheat but it doesn’t make you a murderer! This man was guilty by everyone before the verdict was decided. Just shameful!
Neither would Dicky! Sore looser.
Narcissists never do...always a victim
Murdaugh didn't initiate this. There was a whisper campaign of people who knew about the jury tampering and went to Murdaugh's lawyers. His lawyers reached out to the jurors, but they weren't talking. Then Miss Becky published her book and they got p*ssed off when they read it, so they got a lawyer and told Murdaugh's lawyers the truth, and they filed sworn Affidavits.
My only regret about this situation is that Mark Tinsley is not also representing some jurors. Would love to see Mark and Eric do battle with Murdaugh's minions! 😮😂

Seems like the Clerk should've kept her mouth shut.
And they have lawyers showing up where their families live and intimidating them.
@nickford17 don't be dumb. The judge asked them before they left if anything happened and they all said no. It wasn't until these evil people showed up on their door and scared them into lying that they changed that.

those jurors didn't "come forward" at all. they weren't saying a thing about these allegations until the defense attorneys literally knocked on their doors. big difference. doesn't necessarily negate what they are alleging, but that lawyer saying they "came forward" is very misleading. i guess that's his job. 🤷♀️
That’s not true. In the press conference they mentioned they were approached first by two jurors who wanted to tell the truth. Following the conversation and allegations, then they went door to door to ask other jurors. If I recall correctly, two other jurors spoke but didn’t want to file affidavits. That’s why the paralegals wrote them.
It’s not against the law to reach out to jurors after trial. Many defense attorneys do to get insight on their thoughts and basically get some feedback. The problem would be if they harassed them. In the conference, they note some told them no or to go away, which they did.
@Deeb22 it IS true. in the conference, the attys said they heard some info that they should "look into" the process. so, they reach out to jurors and were "met with a zone of silence...no jurors would speak to us"
it wasn't until after the book was released when they got any jurors to speak with them.
i'm not saying the clerk is innocent or guilty of the allegations...just that the jurors didn't just come forward on their own like this atty suggested and others are saying
Couldn’t agree more! Yes, it’s very misleading!
These guys are creating a show. They think they are OJ’s team. It’s over now. Move on.
Wait for both sides. So far we are hearing what 2 people said. What is the proof . Lets hear from other jurors. Did anything she might have said cause anyone to vote guilty!?
Absolutly what she said influenced the jury. Becky is guilty. A new trial is needed.
I strongly agree. People are hearing one side of the story and have already found Ms Hill guilty. SMH. And just now on this video we have a lawyer saying we shouldn’t believe anything Ms Hill says, even under oath, because her statements will be self serving. Poot and Jim knew what they were doing when they held that press conference. That their loudness would be seen as honest while her quietness is seen as guilt. But that Eric said loudness doesn’t equate to truth. Ms Hill & the other jurors did the right thing lawyering up.
@@angiejorah which jurors said she influenced their verdict? I haven't heard that yet.
I think juror 630 (?) says in the affidavit that when the clerk told them to pay careful attention to the body language of Alex when he testifies meant that he was guilty.
I mean, how is it possible that a juror is not only THIS stupid, but they even admit it to the court in writing?! Admitting that they let to be corrupted and decided not to report it to the judge?! How do we know they're not corrupted NOW?
This kind of idiots decide the fate of criminals...?!
I think the egg lady has been working with defense because she's mad about getting kicked off. And some jurors may be upset that Becky beat them to write a book.
Why did they not report to bailiff or judge???
Good luck getting a jury for a second trial or any trial for that matter if this is how jurors are treated and attacked by lawyers. If something was happening jurors should have told somebody at the time and not sworn to their verdict. The whole justice system will collapse if people won't serve on a jury and if their verdicts don't stand. Criminals have more rights than victims already and now the Dick & Jim show want them to have more rights than innocent people sitting on a jury. Glad I am a yankee. SC is a beautiful state but I don't want to even drive through it as long as Dick is in offce.
The bench will decide the verdicts: people will be taken off the streets and checked if they could be potential jurors. The system is already in trouble. This is just fuel for the fire..
Its going to collaspe anyway...

Are they ever going to just accept they lost and their client is guilty?
I know, right!
They're grabbing at straws. But if the allegations were true, the jurors themselves should be investigated too, because it means they delivered a corrupted verdict. It means these jurors ARE corrupt. And it begs the question: if they let to be corrupted then, why should we believe that they're not corrupted now? 🤔
This is such a messy mess! 😱
No. Becky influenced the jury and that’s not allowed, that’s not her job.
And now a new trial should be presented.

Has it not been proven already by the Judge’s own words that Becky conducted an interview with one of the jurors over the Facebook post supposedly written by ex husband and she was then tossed off the jury. Since when does someone have to report to the Clerk of Court over a matter so important? Wouldn’t that have to be investigated by the judge. Exactly! It’s because they probably try to block the thought- but know deep, deep down in their souls, that Alec is guilty. As much as I dislike both Poot and Griffin, I think Griffin has his head on a little straighter, and knows his client is guilty. Did anyone notice that at the end of their interview on FoxNews when asked if they still believed Murdaugh is innocent, Poot shakes his head no, but then says “Absolutely!”, and then how Griffin says “100%!”, as he closes his eyes, which is an involuntary facial behavior known by body language experts as meaning that what your saying in that moment bothers you and you really don’t want to think about!
The defense needs it for the appeal. Also, why are defense lawyers allowed to go knocking on jurors’ doors months after the verdict? Jim and Harp are shady AF. How can we expect jurors to have to get a lawyer?
Shouldn't be allowed to. Jurors were told by Judge Newman 2 contact him if they were bothered.

The thing that gets to me about this case is, what took these jurors so long to come forward? Seriously, if they ever believed they were influenced then why find him guilty?
Why would someone committing unethical behaviour during trial would go so far out of their way to get ethical clearance?
If someone of authority gave instructions to assess something in a particular way, your first inclination might not be to say, "wait, this is illegal" and speak out... these are just regular people, most likely don't have a firm grasp on the law or procedures, and will therefore be influenced. In my opinion, it's not that bizarre.
Clearly at the time the media being outside everyday and the clerk feeding them her opinion influnced them. Don't forget about SLED lying to the Grand Jury.
If people were given pitch forks and torches they would have taken matters in their own hands based on the Grand Jury and Becky.
There has been but one side heard here. The side that represents a man we know is corrupt. KNOWN. Admitted it himself. I doubt it all is as big as they make it out to be. But again, I will wait to see. Assuming the truth comes out and not more b.s.
Her book
Rebecca got a case of ‘temporary stardom’, she clearly loved the lime light and all the attention that came with it. She was witnessed talking to 1 or 2 jurors by themselves at the crime scene, why?! More importantly why was she even permitted to accompany them, there was no reason for her to be there. Also I think it was unethical for her to be out every night of the week with a different reporter, being whined and dined AND thrown a big birthday party bash by these same reporters who obviously believed Murdaugh was guilty. I think there should be laws against jurors and staff to go public until a good amount of time has passed after a trial.
These lawyers are too wealthy to understand. "You need a lawyer" is threatening as hell for most people's income. Especially these days, with everything getting more expensive without the wages going to match it.
And no, not all lawyers would take the case for free, especially not high caliber lawyers like Dick and Jim. And even if many would, how in the world should regular people know that, or know which ones would do it? Eric Bland's public offer shows exactly that: 2 jurors immediately contacted him.
Exactly!
They act like paying them as much per hour as many people earn per week is no biggie
Judge Newman DID ask the jurors every single time they reentered the courthouse.
Of course jurors might change their mind after the case is over. Later the jurors can hear and read all rumors scuttlebut etc that was excluded FOR GOOD REASON from the trial - all the stuff that shouild not affect their verdict. And, I along with Eric Bland can imagine a defense lawyer finding a remoresful juror and implanting suggestions about improper process.

I hope so. Due process. When did a high ranking family lawyer think of due process when killing his wife and son!
Two different jurors signed sworn affidavits saying what they are accusing her of. This leaves two options: Either both jurors committed perjury and need charges, or she is actually involved and needs to be investigated along with a new trial.
Could the wording of the written allegations been confusing enough to have at least one juror sign without complete understanding?

I haven't heard this term yet, "Color of Authority"... but what happens if the jurors did not complain about the clerk because of their fear of her "color of authority" and representing the judge and the courtroom by virtue thereof?
Exactly. For many people a clerk of court wouldn’t be considered “outside”. Some people are very uneducated about the courts processes and it’s not a stretch to believe that not every juror would immediately recognize inappropriate behavior. In fact, they’d make a good target to influence because of that lack of knowledge.
The jury cant be in trouble for what a clerk of the court ,*may have said. It's not their job to know her job. I really have no clue what a COC does, So if one spoke to me during a trial about anything, I wouldn't know anything was amiss 😮
If you only have 2 out of 12 saying this. It might be a good idea to do a real investigation and check any money they may have received in their accounts 9r kids accounts or relatives accounts
Mushell Smith GoFundMe raises over $29,000 as Alex Murdaugh murder trial witness rewarded for ‘bravery’
Of course! That would be the Fbi in this case. I think the same. They pay the jurors to create a smoke courtain
Agree!
Well, AMs attorneys are asking the FBI to investigate the matter so if they did bribe the jurors , which I doubt, the FBI will certainly find out.
Excellent point! I hope they do look in to that!
There is NOTHING worse than sleazy lawyers!!
Unless itd a sleazy court reporter
Yeah sleasy lawyers who are suing the defendant paying money to a gofundme to a witness.
one who murders his wife and child is
Yeah sleazy lawyers who kill their families to keep from paying out on a death their family committed? Ironic huh?
Rebeca Hill tampered with the jury. Also not mentioned here ,. she was taking the lead juror to the bathroom for private conversations, and the rest of the jury was told that they can not ask any questions about it.
She could hardly hold back her smiles and smirks. She’s so full of herself.
Can we PLEASE get Mark Tinsley on this???? I've NEVER seen ONE man OWN an ENTIRE defense team the way that he did!!!! He KNOWS the levels to which this defense "trio" will stoop and he's GOT THEIR NUMBER!!!!!
Yesssssssssss! Please🙏!
I agree !
Oh he's remarkable witness!
There was a group chat with the jurors where one of them messaged "who talked?" after the defense press conference the other day.
Sounds like some of the jurors have something to hide.
That group chat needs to be subpoenad ASAP
A-M-E-N!!! Thank goodness that someone FINALLY pointed out the REAL issue (in my opinion)..... I don't believe a SINGLE word from that pipsqueek's mouth!!!! He shown that there is NOTHING that he won't do!!!
The judge asked the jurors several times a day if anyone had spoken to them about the trial. Why didn't they say anything at the time
my lawyer acquaintance (not friends anymore) told me, ""you'd be surprised how much money people will pay when there afraid of going to jail"". ITS FUKN DISGUSTING
Grant and Mcullougg think everyone should get a lawyer. When you're making $20 an hour, being forced to hire a lawyer who makes $500 an hour is definitely threatening.
Someone is lying, bottom line. There was time and opportunity to speak up if there was something not done right. I feel the Murdaugh Lawyers are desperate.
Becky is lying.
I agree, someone isn’t being truthful and I think it comes down to motive. Alex’s lawyers claim to have affidavits, but that’s a sworn statement w/o being cross examined, right?
Becky didn’t get a payday after publication of the book, in fact the publishing company front all the expense associated with publishing the book.
Becky was hoping to make money on the book by influencing the jury to vote guilty. Whether she actually made money or not isn't relevant.@@MW97058
@@MW97058The co-author and Ms Becky self published the book, and they put $30,000 of their own money in order for the book to be silenced. They didn't make lots of money up front like the Murdaugh's attorneys said.
Yup except I believe there was a payoff. Too prominent of a family with A LOT of power and with A LOT of big lawyers/cops and the like. Tinsley told Alex if there was ANY type of jury tampering in the boat case he would immediately go after him full throttle. Funny he was/went full throttle…why?! Because it’s a POWERFUL family with LOTS of money. Payoff likelihood? Ha ya just a little. Would a common folk juror take a butt load of money for doing/saying certain things…I might add wayyyy after the verdict. I pray not but come on this is the biggest and more likely theory than any.
That lady going on about self serving statements. That whole affidavit is self serving for the defense!
One knew Alex would testify until he did so how could she have warned them prior to his testimony?
She spent a little time with them while he was walking to the witness stand...that's when she told them he was a liar and it to be fooled🤷
I have no side in this case but i feel this might be a lie by some jurors.
Check their bank acct’s
There were already issues with Old Girl sticking her nose where it didn't belong. Judge Newman mentioned one instance during the trial and now the rest of it's coming out.
Or maybe some defense lawyers
Why would they lie?
@@mangos2888 I'm not sure about motive. If the clerk was corrupt then she wouldn't say crazy things in front of jurors, or walk off and have chats.
She might be that dumb though.
Hill convicted herself in her book.
If there was any reason impropriety in her book that would have been mentioned in Poot’s press conference & exhibited in the motion for a new trial - and it wasn’t.
These jurors shouldn't be getting dragged back into this after already giving up 7 weeks of their lives, certainly not just because Poot and Griffin are as corrupt, seedy and money-grubbing as their dirty, murdering client.
Becky is the one who is corrupt obviously.
Becky was hoping to make money on her book deal and minupulated the jury.
The Judge ask everyday if anyone had any problems with people discussing the Trial no one said Nothing.
What kind of person/juror makes a decision based on one clerks suggestions or personal views, after 6 weeks of evidence and wittnesses testimony? Who are those jurors?
It doesn’t matter if they were influenced by her or not. She was not allowed to say those things to the jury. New trial.
If it's possible for cops to create a false confession then surely it's possible for a state employee to coax members of the public.
It's almost like the judge telling you he's guilty. It has a lot of authority, even though she is a few steps lower than judge.
@@RealWallyGatorlet’s assume nothing and see what is going to happen, I guess is the answer. It’s all so incredible, right?
@@LegendLength
Police intimidation VS a clerk gossiping, I respectfully disagree. Apples and oranges, totally.
@@RealWallyGator
Of course, my question was referencing something else.
Just because jurors give different versions doesn’t prove one side is lying. If they were separated at points it’s totally possible they didn’t all have the same experience and are all speaking their truth.
Finally, someone with brains in the comments section!
The clerk split up the jurors into two room, this point needed to be addressed.
Great coverage by Court TV, thank you.
The jurors were always free to tell the truth throughout the whole trial what is this guy talking about 🤷🏽♂️ no one put a gun to these people head and made them vote guilty
No Becky just added her influence to the jury to vote guilty.
@@angiejorah the evidence was overwhelming 🤷🏽♂️ this guy definitely murdered his wife and his son

She absolutly influenced the jury. @@kimberlychelen9890
I'm confused as to why the jurors would need a lawyer if trhey told the truth.@@kimberlychelen9890
Becky should have waited on her book until after their appeal.
"I was asked to represent these two jurors" - why does no one ask him "Who asked you?" Is it because we know the answer - "Poot".
This is nothing more than a witch hunt for the defense!!😢
True, their ego’s couldn’t stand living-down a defeat in a trial they were absolutely sure they’d win. Lol, until they were tripped up by a little video that sent their worlds spinning into oblivion. ❤
100% right!!! At what point did everyone forget that Dick Poot will stoop to ANY level...... We SAW it!!! I don't believe a SINGLE word that comes out of that pipsqueek's mouth!!!!

Becky influenced the jury so he deserves a new trial.
@@angiejorah ALLEGEDLY 🙄🙄
A thorough investigation needs to be done.
So happy to see Erik Bland on board!!!
He is my favorite :) Very convincing and respectable.
The defense attorneys were at the property during the jury walkthrough as were the judge and prosecutors. So are we to believe that Harpootlian and Griffin wouldn't have jumped all over this situation of the foreperson and Clerk of Court allegedly walking off privately to talk? But no, they want to wait six months? 🤔
To me it’s a last ditch effort at the only thread the defense could think up to totally blank up the entire trial that the poor loosers , who are always late 🙄, could think of. The narcissistic defense and their pride just had to take this chance. What a complete and expensive mess to bring forward.
I lean in the same direction. I am on a wait and see but I think there is a whole lot of smoke and mirrors here... They made a big splash, as they intended. The smoke will clear given a bit of time... Imo.
If it is shown that these defence lawyers defamed the clerk than that 'pay day' that the lawyer indicated was why the clerk wrote a book will be chicken feed in relation to the damages they will win when the clerk sues them ...
Poor Losers?
Amen!!!
In my opinion, Alec is wanting to serve time in a federal prison, and since the first hearing was found guilty, he would have to serve in state prison. Then all of a sudden we have jury tampering???!!! I think there was a payout.
great updates.... thanks for keeping us so well informed.... nobody does it better than Vinnie
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
The jurors didn't come forward. They were sought out,What were they told when defense lawyers showed up at their houses? Why did they go to their homes? Shouldn't that type of intimidation be illegal? They did their jobs as they saw fit.The beast has been caged..Rest in peace
I'm with Eric. Who is gonna be willing to do jury service if its gonna put THEM on a trial of sorts?
I’m the US it’s a civic duty and we can’t choose not to do jury duty… it’s not kegal.
The jurors came forward and said dodgy stuff happened, the jurors are the reason that they will all have to testify. This can happen at any trial and has nothing to do with the defence.
@@Slipstream_merchant well you clearly didn't listen to the lawyers or Vinnie properly, I would suggest you do. Poot said he knew Bout this long before ANY jurors spoke.
@@ferrari251 there are plenty of ways to get out of it. Plenty.
@@VickyF_ Yeah he heard rumours of dodgy stuff happening. And jurors came forward after the book was written. Why would jurors lie under oath about dodgy stuff happening? Also the jury group chat had a message “who’s talking” as in who’s not hiding the fact there was dodgy stuff happening.
I am tired of that female lawyer CONSTANTLY talking about the jurors like they are scared little stupid sheep around the court house or Judge Newman… he was everything that invited a confession/statement about ANYTHING that went on behind close doors!!
What a horrible precedent to set for future high profile verdicts!
AND just imagine the only reason AM’s lawyers are doing this is because of WHO their client is, if it was a normal Joe Blow, NO lawyer would ever have brought this up!
Or created it
@@Schiffon Yep. Agree.

Yeah me to. Not very clever or the brightest light on any room. I ask not to bring her back anymore.
Dick and Jim are 💩.
Yep, the jurors need lawyers because they failed to report tampering when it happened. Clerk will need a whole lot of lawyers for her actions. She deserves jail time for tampering.
The jurors basically admit to be corrupted. But if they were corrupted then, how can we know they're not corrupted now? 🤔
So what happens if these 2 jurors signed affidavits, under the penalty of perjury - stating the clerk came into the jury room and made those statements to the entire jury, but then 10 jurors signed affidavits, again under the penalty of perjury, stating the clerk never came in and made those statements. Obviously some people are lying, and committing perjury, how will they ever know what the truth is???
Check their emails, bank accounts, wires, phone communication etc etc
Too early to say. This is a hypothetical question. We don’t know what the other jurors will say and it’s a waste of time worrying about whether or not they will all say the same thing.
Wild allegations! It just doesn’t Mk any sense for this woman who has wkd her entire career with that courthouse to engage in jury tampering
I think this is her MO. She loves to be in the spotlight.
She has no business writing a book.
ABSOLUTELY!!! Thank goodness someone else sees this. Can we all step back and consider who is making this allegation? I don't believe a SINGLE word that comes out of Dick Poot's mouth..... @@OlDirtyBandit Do not discuss the case with anyone, do not talk amongst yourselves about the case, and do not deliberate until it is given to them by the judge to do so. No ambiguity at all in the judge's admonition. Do not talk about the case he said every time the Jury left the courtroom. The only employee of the Court that they would see most of is the Baliff. Why would the Clerk of the Court, while the Baliff is in charge of them, discuss the case with any of the jurors? The jury did do something the Judge corrected, they elected a foreman before the judge told them to. In his courtroom, he selects the foreman of the jury, which he then did. @@GRMLS5 just a coincidence they changed jury foreman and the previous foreman wasn’t sure of his guilt and the new foreman seemed to be best friends with the clerk.

This was just in the news for August 31, 2023: Convicted murderer Alex Murdaugh has lost his phone privileges and his prison tablet computer after his lawyer recorded him reading his journal entries on a call for a documentary about his case, South Carolina Corrections Department officials said Wednesday.
Prison policy prohibits inmates from talking to the media without permission because the agency “believes that victims of crime should not have to see or hear the person who victimized them or their family member on the news,” state prisons spokeswoman Chrysti Shain said in a statement.
The media interview violation, along with another violation for using a different inmate's password to make a telephone call, are prison discipline issues and not a crime, Shain said.
Murdaugh also lost his ability to buy items in the prison canteen for a month in the discipline hearing held Monday
Ah yes, thank you so much for contributing so little to what's being discussed as far as the legitimacy and proper procedure for determining a person's guilt or innocence.
You don't like the guy, that's fine.. not many people do. Likeability or whether people think he's guilty or not is not the point.. it's about setting a precedent and the dangers of letting this conviction hold up if the accusations (against the clerk) are true.
This is an illustration of how low JG and DH will go to get Murdaugh money!
