That exact same thing happened to my axle threads on both sides. All I wanted to do was replace the lower control arm and had to replace the axles as well.
screw driver and garden tool like a small fork but you can try pliers, i tried pliers but was having a hard time or may be I did not have the right pliers, thanks for sharing.
Dude, you have to fully unseat the indent that locks the axel nut in place. Not doing this is the reason the threads were galled (stripped) when you tried to remove the nut. Thankfully, you were replacing the axe ! The nut was NOT cross threaded !
thanks for your comment, have done it quite for a long time n this is what I do first, if you dont completely get the indent in the nut then you ruin the thread, found out later that day, they had tried it the week before n they coulnt get it out
