- We're moving onto the next version of the exhaust for the GT4 and I'm really enjoying the process so far. The full race setup was a bit too aggressive for me, so it's time to try out the valved version. I think we're getting pretty close to the prefect sound and this setup will stay for a while.

I definitely wouldn't be able to live with how loud that race header/exhaust was for very long, but i would absolutely spend a full day terrorizing the town with those beautiful sounds before i removed it!

Straight forward video (I like it!)... looking forward to the sound with the factory cats. If you run up with troubles with the valve controller I think the best option is to install cargraphicts one, cheers!.

back in my "vette" (your favorite word) days, they sold what they called a mild-2-wild switch for $100, all it would do is bypass remotely the fuse which controlled the valve circuit. otherwise as you know the corvette exhaust (if dual mode equipped) would open around 4k rpms. hit the switch on the remote and it would disable power to the circuit and the valves would stay open at any RPM.

The (fake - for the US cars) OPF isn't very restrictive for power but it does a good job getting rid of drone and harsh sounds. I'd try race headers + stock OAP + valved rear section. Not sure the Soul exhaust fits the stock pipes, but if it does I think this will give all of the sound and power you need without the "crazy" edge to it.

What is the additional solenoid doing? The valve control from Cargraphic does not supply an additional solenoid, it just manipulates the stock solenoid, in exactly the way you describe (always open). Maybe the additional solenoid somehow disrupted the PSE (OEM) operation of the valves?
Do you not cover each exhaust tip with your hand to check for exhaust leaks?

European 718 GT4 exhaust components don't bolt onto the US market cars. The attachments in the car are different. Soul sells the oem conversion parts to install their systems in Europe.
@@johnbrandenberger6174 That is not true...early cars had a bracket that later cars and nearly all (US cars) dont have but that is only mounting difference. Plenty of JCR systems installed in the US. Please don't spread false information.
@@omartaylor5432 us cars have no hard mounting to the chassis of the overaxle pipes. If you install a European exhaust system on a us car there is literally nothing holding it up other than the headers. The European cars use a band strap on both sides that the us cars don’t have. I’d love to see a source of a 718 gt4 running a euro setup on a us car. I could be wrong but the factory parts diagrams tell a different story.
@@johnbrandenberger6174 I will re-iterate....the mounting bracket you speak of ONLY applies to car with pre- March 2020 production date...moving forward all cars share the same exhaust (over-axle pipe is suspended by the muffler and Cat)... Want to find USDM GT4/Spyders with JCR, Cargraphic and other European systems?? The internet is your friend.

Yeah, yeah... sounds good but I can't imagine the drone and how annoying it must be to drive at 45/50 mph.
With the valves on this rear section, there isn't much drone.

So Matt, with all the videos you have of you openly speeding and going above the speed limit do you find cops increasingly out looking for you? and if you get caught you have sort of a get out of jail free card?also I noticed you have a lot of infected hair follicles around the base of your neck. I suspect you're waiting too long to change razor blades. Or if you're using electric razor it's dull. You don't have to deal with that.

Sounds way too BLAH BLAH SHOUT SHOUT, kinda like a modern M4 or something. I would have gone race headers with everything else stock or just done a muffler to add a few decibels, less is more.
