Late to the party but this was the best tutorial on redshift materials ever. Thank you

    Awesome stuff. Master of Noise.
Just one quickstep for connecting nodes for output preview.
    Windows>Customization>Customize Commands
    Name Filter = output
Connect node to Output > Set shortcut key=Ctrl+Shift+C

This was a very good tutorial. I put in several hours to really understand what you did. At the end it was worth it. I now know your way of breaking up a surface with imperfections. Cheers!

This learned me so much man. It answered a lot of questions I had about redshift. Comming from the corona renderer I couldn't figure out some thing in the workflow. Also great speed and exploration on the topics. Please keep up the good work, u got a new subscriber!

Great tutorial man. I'm trying to follow this with Redshift 3.5, but there's no shader node. Do you know what replaced it? I don't want to go back to the legacy version.

Thanks dude! Yeah, takes a bit of getting used to! When version 3 is finally released, will have to do it all over again with the new node editor.

Great tutorial!!! I have a problem hope you can help me out,
I have a model with a series of diferent polygon selections to wich I loaded 3 diferent materials (3 diferent redshift materials with diferent bumps etc)
    I encountered 2 problems,
1- there is only 1 redshift object tag you can attach to the object
2- I am having trouble with the bump displacement since it is not working on the materials I asigned to the object, i´m very confused as to why is not working.
if i load the material to another object it works just fine on the bump displacement.
My hypotesis is that the redshift object tag is confused as to which material to pay atention to... IDK help please!!

learned a lot from your two part texture tutorial. Your pacing and walkthrough was amazing! It's awesome what you can do once you learn more nodes ^_^ Thanks!

Here's a thought: you can set up a custom keyboard sequence for Solo Node command and it saves time. I use Command+Return

Thanks a lot but that Voronoi noise layer doesn't appear at all to me. It appears with the stripes, but when I apply the Mul layer it is just the same as just blue glass. I've tried to fix this for more than an hour never gets fixed. so sad :(

Great channel. More materials on the redshift please :) Sorry for my English)

Just saw the post date and realized Maxon Noise is likely an R21+ update. Is this workflow essentially the same thing with the "RS Noise" node just with fewer noise options? Would still like to practice making materials procedurally, but don't feel like giving Maxon more money after buying a R20 perpetual license last year.

If I remember correctly, isn't there a C4D Shader node with all the C4D noises in there?

Nice tut! I just do not understand why you keep on clicking the color sample area when you want to change the color, when in the first tut you mention it's more practical to unfold it to change interactively. Habit, I guess...?
