Bose has bass ports and Sonos has passive radiators. They perform the same function. Sonos does not have more going on under the hood because it has passive radiators lol.
Bought the Bose yesterday!! It sounds amazing!!! Use it as my computer speaker!! Best decision ever! I’ll never go back to stand alone speakers!! Follow the setup instructions. I have it hooked up via wi-fi- No issues!! Also turn on dialogue in the app! When watching movies and voice videos! I actually just kept mine on. I’ll be making a video on it shortly!! 😎✌️😍... I also have a dedicated home theater room!’so this is just awesome for my computer setup!! Fits perfectly under my LG wide screen!...Great review!! Gorgeous speaker!!!😜 u so feel more emerged!!
Own the Bose and it really is a great sound bar on its own for a bedroom or small living room setting (though adding the bass module really just turns the system into a completely different beast). One thing I noticed you did miss though is that with the Sonos System you can actually pick up the Ikea Symfonisk bookshelf speakers for under 100 each (which honestly sound pretty great given their price) and use them as your surrounds since they’re included in the Sonos ecosystem rather than paying over 100 more for a set of the One SL speakers that you mentioned, just a heads up.
One thing I don't like about the Sonos Beam that you didn't mention is that even though you can use Google assistant it's a standalone to only Sonos assistant. It can't be paired with any other Google or Nest Homes in your house. So if you like to play music in your whole house with your Google / Nest homes the Sonos Beam can't join in the music.
@@TheArnoldMedia not an easy fix when you already have a bunch of Google and Nest speakers throughout your house. It's more cost effective to forgo the Google assistant on the Sonos Beam and just buy another Google home for that room. I just wish I knew that first but nobody talks about it.
I guess youtube is not the best to reproduce the sounds and you listening could tell more, but apart from the base and loudness, the Sonos sounded much better to me, more powerfull mids and wider
Sonos and klipsch I feel is overpriced for the sound quality they offer . But I love the sonos subwoofer, trust me it very powerful. Nothing is even close to Bose when it comes to clarity.
Nothing beats Bose for dialogue! It literally has a button for dialogue mode that makes dialogue CRYSTAL CLEAR even at low volumes, but it somehow keeps that’s full profile. It really is unbeatable watching dialogue mode especially late at night
Loving both of those but lets be honest the Sonos is the better one for music, much richer & fuller, not so sure about gaming. I think I'd be happy with either.
I know you didn't ask this, but b9se also has a feature very similar, except they make you wear headphones and sit in different positions around the room
Bose has removed all the Mids from the song as if they were never there, please someone tell Bose that vocals and treble are not the same thing😂😂 You can still love bose for bass and treble.
@@EvanLovell There isn’t one that’s better than the other. It depends on what the requirements of the speaker and cabinet are during design. Both are used for tuning and damping. If someone says passive radiators are better than ports or vice versa, they do not know basics of audio.
I love your videos but anyone who knows anything about audio would not find any value in the time spent playing the products. Hearing what you recorded played through an iPhone is just not helpful. Again, love your commentary.
This video is biased and was done by a Bose fanboy. The Sonos Beam is rated HIGHER by customers reviews on the Amazon AND Best Buy website. I've heard both and the Beam is better...it has outsold the Bose 300 for a reason.
Great video! Very detailed! Gonna go for Bose. Thanks mate 🙏👍
Wow, the Sonos got whooped bad by the Bose this time. The DSP in the Bose is making everything sound much better.

i just bought my Sonos beam and the 2 Sonos ikea speakers and they sound very nice! The ikea speakers are only $99 each
Hi What do you lean bass module. Do I need to buy another item from Bose to add Bass?
I always wonder what it would look like if sonos made headphones...
I got the beam and it's amazing I plan on getting 2 one sl side speakers

I noticed you had the loudness setting off on the Sonos Beam.

Agreed… Bose balance’s the sound profile fantastic
Had both, kept the bose. Sound ist a very subjective thing tho.
I think I'm going to buy the Bose. I think they sound very similar but I can get a sub for cheaper
No comments about their dialogue performance for movies and TV shows?

Excuse me, where did You get those lamps at the back of your TV? I liked them!
Philips Hue Go
Super helpful information! Thank you!
Your vids are always awesome and helpful! Would you consider reviewing the new Soundcore Liberty Air 2 Pros??
When I first saw this channel I thought it was gmcDaddy 😂 but it took me 4 videos to realize that I was wrong
Excellent review mate… 👍🏼
great review
Great Video Bro thxx

@@lamar310 honestly should be with the price difference
Wtf do you mean the Bose killed the Sonos in music
@@lamar310 you hear it in the test the Sonos is for people that just want sounds the quality is all bose
Quick question: did you use Trueplay on the Sonos?
I know you didn't ask this, but b9se also has a feature very similar, except they make you wear headphones and sit in different positions around the room
Bose wins yet again.
I have a first generation play 1 and play 3, I would like to know if it is possible to use them together with we are beam?
Nice lights for someone who doesn’t want distractions while watching TV… 😂😅
Which 1 sounds better?
Bose
Lights beside the tv?
Phillips hue lights
Bose has removed all the Mids from the song as if they were never there, please someone tell Bose that vocals and treble are not the same thing😂😂

Passive radiators and ports do the exact same thing. It’s just a design choice. Bose has ports and sonos has passive radiators.
Not even close

Bose 👍🌟
bose have issues with the hdmi arc connectivity
Bose 1 !!!
I think the Bose is more better
Why the fuck am I being recommended this video????
Bose just over priced loads of money for very little
The Bose sounds quite muffled.
bose !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Which is better plan to buy one of them for my bedroom tv
Estas pentejo yo fui ha escuchar las dos barras varias veces y bose le gana por mucho en potencia
I have Sonos and honestly it sucks
Bose sounds better?! Nope...sonos outperform here by wide and large
