  • Testing the Minelab Go Find 60 in my test bed
    30 targets total 2 points if hit both ways
    Keep in mind this is a small sample of what you may find in the field. Conditions change for the better or worse.
    Minelab Go Find 60 score = 29 out of 66 points with ease of use and portability as strong points. It tends to read good targets as iron once you hit below 7 inches but still goes deeper than expected.
    Detectors tested so far in this bed
    Garrett Grand Master hunter II= 20
    Tesoro Cibola = 36

    Great video. Your test bed is fantastic and really shows what this machine is capable of. Subscribed.

    Good video thanks. Kind of what I expected for the price of the machine. Still good for someone who wants to get into the hobby without spending to much money.

    Another dig it all or never find the good stuff machine. Most all the detector Comp's are ruff on the potential new customer for life by making them dig tons of trash at the start and end up frustrated and quitting the hobby early.
    Excellent reviews on a real world detectorist's battleground.

    Just good for backpacking into tough areas for area sampling and then bring in the Big Boys

    I wonder if the 66 picks up deep targets without showing up as iron?

      Yes. I own it and it does. I just don't understand why wouldn't they put numbers instead of silly pictures.. Great machine I make 10 dollars in change each park hunt. But its definitely beep and dig machine and all the bullshit about technology is worthless, if you put discrimination on you miss good targets

    The best video test I'found for Go Find 60, great work! Btw, do you know how many points the Fisher F22 would score in this test?? I need to decide which one to buy 😕

    • @scannerguy1968
      @scannerguy1968  7 років тому

      I'd go with the F22. haven't had one yet but the F44 is way above the GoFind 60 all around

      @scannerguy1968 why you say that:
      - Fisher F22: works on 7.7 khz frequency
      - Go Find 66: works on 7.8khz to 8.2khz

    Hey, does anyone know if detectability changes with ground texture, such as sand or soil?

    • @scannerguy1968
      @scannerguy1968  7 років тому

      IT will change fro yard to yard. THe more minerals in the soil the worse the detectability

    What machine would you go for? The fisher f44 or the minelab go find 60.

    • @scannerguy1968
      @scannerguy1968  8 років тому

      I would go for the f44. Seems to be a better machine all around.

      F44 has 7.69khz frequency that is less than Gofind 66 that has 7.7khz to 8.2khz. Then, why F44 is better for you?

    Nice Video, But you didn't mention how cheap it's made and wobbly it is for a minelab GL HH

    • @jakedonnely4094

      Canadian Treasure Hunter it still picks up the coin at ten inches even if it does come up as iron thats about right

    It (is) a shame it doesn't go deeper. Companies like Minelab and Bounty Hunter get a good thing going (like the little BH VLF) then they ruin it by not designing it to go deep. I will say that the BH VLF, like the Go Find 60, has a quick response/recovery time and the little $65 BH has exactly the same low/high tone sound as my $780 DeepTech Vista Gold. Makes me wonder if the DeepTech company maybe pirated the sound program out from under the Bounty Hunter VLF. The foundations for the Bounty Hunter VLF originated back when First Texas was making the Treasure Tracker series of detectors back in the 80s. They're no longer made by the way but have an almost identical solid coil as the BH VLF from modern times.

    do you think it can find little nugets? and what about using in the beach?

    • @scannerguy1968
      @scannerguy1968  6 років тому

      I'm sure it could. Not sure how it will react to beach salt and minerals though.

    • @BeforeLeavingLife
      @BeforeLeavingLife 3 місяці тому

      It will never find small gold nuggets because it has only 7.7khz frequency. Gold nuggets need more than 30khz frequency

      +GurutechDK It's really not but I guess it depends what you're chasing. I love mine for the beach for local parks. As long as it picks up gold and coins, I am happy and it does just that.
