Loving the video so far! Finnster is currently in a relationship with another creator who is also a trans woman named ICKY(on UA-cam). Her content is geared toward education on early and various aspects of transitioning mtf. Im just starting my transition so she’s helping out a lot and that’s how I learned about Finn, super happy to see y’all having this discourse!
i've not finished watching the bit about finnster but as a very mish mash of too much stuff queer, i was ECSTATIC to hear about a (at the time) perceived cis guy dressing up insanely like a girl. it was so cute to see someone just like. do whatever. i don't see it AT ALL as someone pretending to be a trans person. gender is whatever u want it to be and as long as finnster wasn't actively trying to hurt anyone by dressing like a girl or taking away from queer voices etc, nothing would've been wrong with them still identifying as a cis male and dressing fem. this is why we'll never have gender neutrality bc people think it needs to be a polarized and labeled thing. u either need to be cis or u need to be Other and that's just not how it works. stop trying to put people in specifically labeled boxes.
but also i'm so excited to see that they're some other kinda gender funky now? see this is exactly why u don't put people in boxes cos they very well could've liked it a lot and was experimenting with what gender identity meant to them and hadn't quite figured out what they liked to present as

Honestly it’s so disheartening that people were essentially demanding F1nn to define themselves. In the past few years I came to the realization that I was genderfluid/feeling a sense of gender dysphoria, and everyone around me has noticed it too and when people ask what my pronouns are, I’ve often changed around and conformed to what I think they would be confortable with? Ive dated guys who werent too keen on it all so I'd go by she/they with them, had my online friends I was more comfortable with call me he/they, and at school (and like. im in arts lol so people actually ask and give a shit) I just say that I go by any pronouns. Its difficult to find yourself when you cant even define yourself but outside pressure demands that you do. Sending so much love to F1nn and everyone else who is figuring themselves out 🫶🫶🫶

For the Trans stuff in general, just let people live, man. Like I for one ( for anime/emo reasons) had lobbed all my hair off. And it was before I knew what anything was. And fasforward to now I'm just whatever. It was funny realizing some of my mutuals didnt realize i was in fact trans (masc but also?????). Did try long hair, not my jam, so cut it again. Just let people live.
Also, it's hard to quantify, but as a Queer Latine Neurodivergent individual, who has written a book, and has self-edited, had beta readers and critique partners, have paid others to edit my book, and even has a Master's in Creative Writing. From my perspective, as having to query literary agents who are of course mostly white-cis-straight women, who claim are looking for diverse stories, I dunno, I call sus. And not that there hasn't been developments in diversity, but gosh the querrying process for me has been absolutely difficult.

How about we let people just be who they are? Fuck, I'm so done. Gender and sexuality are so fucking complex; my feelings about who I am have evolved over the fifty years I've been on this planet. The idea that we expect people to stay the same forever just seems so odd to me.
Lastly, creators owe viewers nothing regarding their life behind the scenes. My goodness, all this entitlement infuriates me.

soooo, bipolar here, ssri/ssni mediations can cause psychosis in individuals on the bipolar/schizoeffective/schizophrenia spectrum; however, this is due to our brain chemistry, and would be exceptionally rare in someone not on this spectrum.
with this said.
i have experienced psychosis and you *still* have to take accountability and responsibility. if she is telling the truth (doubtful), she needs to provide a full apology for the harm caused, acknowledge that regardless of why, it was awful, and be taking the appropriate measures needed to prevent something like this is the future rather than trying to repair her public image 3 months after.

I don't have respect for any religion. I feel sorry for people brainwashed from childhood to believe in these nonexistent deities and learning to put them before humans who actually exist. I'm commenting before watching the whole thing but I had to stop the Paige Christie video the moment she started talking about trans kids - I understand people do not think it is transphobic to be against all medical intervention for children but the reality is that is completely misinformed opinion to have with not backing other than inherent transphobia. I still enjoy a lot of their content but I feel like I have to be cognizant and critical. If anyone is interested in that topic I would highly recommend Mia Mulder's video What Is The Deal With The "Trans Debate"? for a well-researched, point of view. Anyway, loving these videos!

My mom was very antithesis,too.were from southern Alberta "god, guns and big trucks" I remember in elementary school she complained hard about all the "Jesus sh!+" The Christmas concerts and saying the Lord's prayer every morning,, she said if she wanted us to learn about god she'd send us to catholic school.
The prayer stopped at some point when I was in elementary still. But thinking about elementary school she, big time, hated this over achiever mom that volunteered for everything but maybe it's because she only ever put 38% into everything. Guess I won't trauma dump. 👐🏻

hey mika, i know you mentioned getting diagnosed with ocd so i want to let you know questioning sexuality CAN be a form of ocd that isnt linked to being queer or not queer (as funny as the straight people dont think about it is). its called sexual orientation ocd and exists alongside gender identity ocd or relationship ocd. i just wanted to let you know more nuance since you mentioned having ocd in one of your videos :) intrusive thoughts can happen to anyone as a disorder! im not saying i see this in you bc of this video, i just wanted to add nuance given the topics y'all mentioned. thought it might interest you.

another problem in seeking help w OCD self policing and guilt. there are some people who experience pedophilic or incestuous or muderous intrusive thoughts and none of them WANT these feelings but they are horrified about admiting to therapists. people have found their blogs connecting to other people with ocd about their obsessions, and have lost their jobs for it.
ive specifically read stories of people with POCD who worked with kids being fired for seeking treatment and doing ERP and talking about that online. OCD is theorized to attach to threaten what you personally care about most-- for people with POCD, they tend to really care for childrens wellbeing even before the symptoms started or just extremely sensitive to abuse of power between minors and adults.
I hope im not telling you things you already know, but this is one of my favorite topics bc I've been to therapy for OCD and well and am still working on it and I see so many others just like me scared to talk about their battles because OCD targets harming what we value most. I really want people with OCD to get the love and help they deserve through the shame, which is our biggest obstacle.

I started warching h3 after the vape nash video came out, i enjoyed his over the top content. I trudged through the podcast, it wasnt terrible but ethan is kind of unlikable. I tapped out during frenemies. His constant "i dont understand why she's freaking out" when the whole point of starting the podcast was the fact that trisha is a wild characterwas grating. Since he started doing these multiple hours long, near-daily podcasts i dont understand how anyone is watching.
It's too much lazy content, and ethan has exposed himself for being stupid and callous several times. But he has a parasocial, diehard fan base.
