Man, I dunno why but I could watch a million of these videos. Something about the Mario Bros just goofing off at a record store and making each other laugh with cheesy puns puts a smile on my face.
This is too good, really sells the idea of these two having been brothers for 40 or so years, these two know eachother so well that they can just laugh at names. Luigi strikes me as the kind of guy who despite being pretty popular with women, he’s still very faithful to his wife, and he doesn’t let it get to his head. Mario on the other hand seems like the kind of guy who has been married for decades at this point, and has been in the business for even longer, yet despite that and his age he still manages to keep that childlike wonderment about him. Luigi feels like the kind of younger brother who is more so looking out for his older brother than the other way around. Maybe when they were younger it was the reversed, but now at this point in their lives he’s looking out for Mario, maybe because of how protective Mario was of him growing up. The two also strike me as the kind of guys who despite being devote Christians, they never have time to go to church since they’re always working. But even still when they do manage to make time to go, everyone there knows and loves them, they’re the “Mario Brothers” and everyone is just happy to have them around.

Imagining all the Nintendo characters in one city like this, I imagine Pit, Dark Pit, and Palutena are a family of a single mother and two kids that live in the same apartment building as the Brothers Mario. The kids are both loud and a bit annoying, fighting all the time, but the brothers still look after them when the mom really needs to get something done. After all the kids remind the brothers of younger versions of themselves. They may be a handful, Pit and Dark Pit are angels once you get to know them.
