Recipe Ingredients:
- 250-300g Striploin Steak
- Salt
- Black Pepper
- 1 tsp Canola Oil
- 10g Unsalted Butter
- 15g Thyme
- 200g Cremini Mushrooms
- 70g Onion
- 2 tsp Red Wine
- 1 tsp Sugar
- 150ml Heavy Cream
- Chives for Garnish

Perfect Dry Aged Steak
How to make the perfect steak at home.
Instructions:
1. Season your steak with salt and pepper, make sure to get it on all sides.
2. Add oil and place your steak on a hot pan on medium high. Sear one side for 2 minutes. Flip and sear the other side for another 2 mins. Add garlic , butter and thyme. Use a spoon and continuously scoop the melted butter and pour it all over your steak. Flip the steak, and more butter and do the same thing to the other side. Make sure to sear the edges as well to make sure its thoroughly cooked. Remove from pan and let the steak rest.
3. For your sauce, cut up some mushrooms and a whole onion. On the same pan, add both ingredients and some diced thyme. Stir until onions are brown, add in red wine, sugar and heavy cream. Let it reduce until the cream is nice and thick. Pour your sauce into a bowl.
4. Cut your steak into thin diagonal slices and top it with your cooked garlic and thyme from earlier. Serve it with your mushroom onion sauce.
