I know exactly how receiving hateful and spiteful comments from someone who I really trusted. It hurt and I just had to distance myself from that lady. I was natural for eight years, in those eight years I was always looking unkept. I couldn't manage my hair, even tried sister locs at a time. I really just got tired of always having to do too much. My hair was and still is so thick and full.. the only style I could rock was a top bun and I was just tired. Thank you for this pep talk ...
Your story mirrors many of us, we did not have the knowledge, did not have the products and did not have the money! Thanks for not shaming your mother! Lots of love from a relaxed hot mouthed Bajan! Montserrat is gorgeous!
Love your channel. People who put out hate vibes need to check themselves. It’s more about their insecurities than anything else. Keep doing you Boo! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🌹
Dena girl the hate is real especially if you get a lot of views on a video. I am not sure but I can’t say if I have ever seen hate comments on natural hair videos. If only people knew what chemicals are in our food products and other everyday cosmetic product, they wouldn’t even bother hate on relaxed hair. I hope your relaxer day goes well and congratulations 🎉on your UA-cam growth road to 5k. You are doing an awesome job at sharing your relaxed hair journey let the haters take a back seat 😂❤
I love your channel. I'm natural and thinking about going back to relaxed. I think both natural and relaxed hair are beautiful. I honestly think that many of the hateful comments come from people who don't like their hair. There is a difference between people who don't care for relaxers vs those that condemn. The ones that condemn are actually the ones struggling with major hair insecurities. I don't know anyone who loves themselves and truly is comfortable with their natural hair that is spewing hate towards women that are relaxed. Basically, don't take it personal Dena. Thank you for all your tips. I've been binge watching your videos the past few weeks:)
I'm glad I found this video. My relaxed hair is past my shoulder blades, and it is becoming more difficult for my sister to apply the relaxer. She said that my ends were very dry, so we are going to try your methods on my next relaxer. I'm 43 years of age and have tried being natural for about 8 years. I had several different hair textures, and it just became too much for me. Seeing as how I was relaxed the majority of my life. My hair is healthier and longer than it has ever been. And I to use dark and lovely.
Girl, nuh pay dem nuh mind. I started following you recently because I've just started my hair care journey, after suffering a major setback due to protein overload and overprocessing. I'm hoping to see major improvements by year end. You are one of the FEW persons I follow on YT. I love your content and the accent (I'm Jamaican) and I plan to utilize the tips that you give. Thanks again and I look forward to more content from you
Your population is less than your subscribers 😂😂 that is mad funny. You are very authentic and address real relaxed hair problems and share what you have done to get winning results.....you are not a lazy or selfish youtuber by no means, so that makes it easy for people to relate to you and keep connected.
Whenever I wear my relaxed hair out for an extended period of time, my next relaxer includes a cut 😪. I've learned my lesson and now leave my hair curly from the rollerset, only picking out the roots to remove the marks and parts and wearing it that way. Straight hair just had this way of demanding that you comb it all the time for it to 'look good' then brap, I'm half bald 😂😭😪🤦🏾♀️
Girl I’m one of those people you moved to comment on your vid lol 😂. I was looking up products to use to soften my relaxed hair, while detangling and I found you and literally started binge watching you. I love the way deliver information and your whole energy overall ❤. I’m a big introvert so I know the struggles lol 🇯🇲.
We must always do what works for us at the end of the day 😍😍If you’d like to switch up your look & give your hair a breather our AMARACHI tape in extensions would blend in so well with your texture with unlimited volume and style possibilities 🎉
Your lifestyle is your lifestyle and your hair is your hair. Your styles are simple, healthy, and wonderful. I know because I'm pretty sure I've tried them all. Girl just let them comments slide right on off.
I was just explaining to friends that me not knowing how to do hair is my leading reason for relaxing. Will you please share what type of dry shampoo you use?
Love you 😍❤❤❤I was expecting this video , came in the right time 😂, I got my fresh relaxer a week ago and got some burns 😢 I didn’ have it often and this time was very bad
@@DenaJ olive 🫒 no-lye 🥲🥲🥲 my stylist leave it for too long , I’ve been relaxed for 14y it’s the first time I got painful burns 😂😂😂 but I’m ok now , thanks my LÍDER for ask ❤️❤️❤️❤️ I’m Angolan 🇦🇴 by the way 😘😘😘
Hi beautiful lady. Your video are awesome. Your relaxed hair is beautiful. Do you use regular strength or super relaxer. I've done 2 relaxer last year. Regular, I was under process twice, my end was still kinky. My hair was puffy still right after. I don't know what to do. What you recommend?
Ditto on the breakage with the hair down … had the same realization this past week. Had my hair down and was out and about and that night when I was detangling, it was horrible. My hair was so matted and tangled at the ends. And when passing the comb through, i could literally hear the strands ripping apart. 😫. So its back to wearing my hair up !
It’s crazy because it’s just hair we dye it ,we cut it ,we grow it out natural ,process it ,like relax it’s just hair. Heck I cut my hair every spring for summer weather and go natural and then ai process it in the winter . Like it’s just hair.
Yes that’s right. When you wash your hair right before you relax it, there’s a greater chance of you getting burns because there’s not a protective barrier between your clean scalp (since you just washed it) and the relaxer. After I wash my hair, I wait at least a week before I relax it, so there’s time for my scalp to get build up on it. Also the day before I relax my hair, I put a grease on my scalp, to have more build up on my scalp. This grease also adds to the protective barrier, decreasing my chances of getting burned on relaxer day.

This means so much, Fiona. Thanks for your continued support. The goal was always to create connect that was relatable. I'm happy that it is :)
I love your content! I can’t do my hair either 😂😂 but I love being relaxed! So much easier!! I went natural and could only do ponytails 😂

Not half bald....DWLL
I started doing this & using a hairnet to keep the curls in place but I find I end up with tangles in the curls 😩
You have great content and a lovely personality. You’re doing what makes you happy and that’s all that matters.

Ppl don't realise that styling natural hair is a task... And I'm not blessed in that department 😣
Folks are bitter and jealous that your hair is long and gorgeous. Relaxed hair can be healthy and long. Proving the haters wrong.

Oh yes , some people are “ emotionally “ more invested in others well-being than theirs 😀😎
Lolol! Ain't that the truth
Hey Dina 😍,
Did you try apple cider vinegar on your hair: since I use it, I don’t have flakes anymore
Your hair is beautiful 😍
Hey girl..No I haven't tried. But I'll consider it :)
I’ve heard people say you shouldn’t wash your hair before relaxer is that correct
Yes that’s right. when you said who can't comb I was like me front of the class😄

black women are always talking about a style 😂. maybe thats why their hair wont grow past a certain length....
