I’m so happy you talked about the emotional part of it cause I’m definitely going through it. Recovering from postpartum hair loss and then Going right Into a setback is definitely such a gut wrenching feeling. 😢
you posted this at the right time!! i’ve been shedding & breaking like CRAZY & my hair is slowly thinning 😭 definitely thinking about getting a small haircut.
Am currently am at this point . Major setback....🤦♀️😫😫😫💔💔.... I made peace with cutting it off. I did a good chop off it. It was the only way. Thanks for this Dena.🙂
@@DenaJ 😍😍😍😍 thanks for answer, hope some day I share with you my progress.. I’m not native English sorry anything.. My native language is Portuguese 😊
I’m dealing with a setback right now. I’m frustrated. I’m 14wks post relaxer. I wanted to stretch to 16 but my hair is breaking in clumps, my new growth are challenging. Shall i relax or just cut off? Hair is matting easily and breaking.
I’m not sure what I need. I haven’t found anybody I trust to assess my hair and give me honest advice. The last stylist that trimmed my hair two separate times (4 months apart) trimmed it to the same length both times.
@@DenaJI have assessed and it be looking ok to me. I have recently dusted because I didn’t want to cut more than needed. I’m stretching for 16 weeks which will land me at the end of May. I would re-assess then. Thanks for responding.
The culprit is the gel that is being used to plait braids. When that dries in your hair and then combined a couple days or weeks later with water and shampoo....girl.......it is crazy to watch half your hair come off in one shot.

Thank you for sharing. I am experiencing extreme hair loss due to stress. So I am working on getting back to reduce stress and get my hair growing.

Heyyy, you know the state of your hair. You know what you can handle 😊
i have a questionn about relaxed hair is it possible to relax my hair even if i had done chemical treatments for it before ?
It is possible... But space them out. Consider the health or state of your hair as well before applying another chemical treatment.

Sometimes, you're unlikely to see immediate results. How about you assessing your own hair?

You are right on the money. This is super damaging on the hair. ESPECIALLY chemically treated hair.
