- 14 years ago I started being intentional about my relaxed hair. I've gone through so many challnges but I've also seen so much progress. One thing's for sure, every experience is a lesson and I wanted to share my lessons with you.

I went back to the relaxer a month ago and I’m so glad I found someone with fine hair because I think our haircare is very different 💕
My search is for shampoo and everything else that have 2 things:
1) Slip
2 Vegan.
Any Suggestions ❤from everyone?
My progress is from 7 things that I found:
1) RevAir Hair Dryer
2)Affirm Relaxer ( Dry and Itchy Scalp formula )
4)Clairol Advance Gray SemiPermanent Color in color: Espresso 2N.
5) Simple hairstyle.
6)Argon Oil
7) When a product has a fine mist: I save the bottle to put my other ingredients in that I want to use as a mist.
So glad you talked about braids, I notice I can’t do finer braids as a protective style when relaxed. I can only do those with my natural hair.
Gorgeous woman! UA-cam showed your reel for wash day as a suggestion and here I am lol
Awwww, lovely. Thanks for coming over and welcome to the hair gang 🥰
#9 is so real lol!! It also allows me to find confidence in all the other things that make me feel beautiful. #10 co washing mid week has been amazing for my hair. It’s timely but worth it
Oh my!! I'm so happy you spoke about braids because since I relaxed my hair, braids break my hair 😌 I'm not sure if it's the braider or my hair just can't handle it anymore!
Great tips! For me aloe pre-poo. Groganics Feather Lite Conditioner, KeraCare Leave In Conditioner Leave In, Chi Silk Infusion Serum. When I go for a relaxer I walk with my products, sometimes excessive breakage is due to the product. But most importantly be gentle, if a stylist is being rough show them how you do it. If they get offended find someone else.
Sounds like a good line up!
I already know i can't do braids. My is fine, and my edges are super sensitive
On your tip of not forcing yourself to do what other people do.
I use grease, sulfate shampoo and leave my relaxer for 1hr 30m as this works for me❤
Just went back to relaxers again yesterday. 🙂 Love your videos
So glad I found this channel. I love your content
So happy you do. I miss making content 😭
Loved this video, excellent tips . Yes when you said you Detangle in the shower I screamed yessssss girl lol . And your hair is looking absolutely gorgeous ❤️
Yessss, one of the game changing practices for me!
I agree with your take....and braids set me back big time.
I avoid
I'm over them 😔
Me too
Thank you girl❤
You're welcome💕
Good tips and you’re right not every wash day is the same it is frustrating.
Took me a while to accept that one 😔
Hey Dena - I agree with all of them, especially Tip # 1 and 2!!! My hair hates As I Am LIC and Shea Moisture Manuka Honey line and the Lustre Curl leave in. I’ve tried and my hair screams NOOOOOOO!!!! every single time so in the garbage they went. Protective styles are a definite no too!!!! So much breakage. Also, I NEED to be able to comb my hair every single day. Stretching is a plus for me. It’s been 11 months. I think I’m done though. It takes too long to complete the process on Wash Day. I agree with you. I can only detangle under running water. Also, my hair is fine and will never be thick. And I’m ok with that. I hate to say it, but a lot of relaxed girls with “thick” hair is because their hair is underprocessed. I’m not putting a chemical in my hair to come outside in the heat to be looking like I have a lion’s mane. 😂😂😂 Thanks for the tips! ❤❤❤❤❤
🤣🤣🤣🤣 Not the lion's mane!!!
I can only detangle when my hair is wet, it’s so much easier to me.
Yessss, esp with a good deep conditioner! The slip💪🏾
Can you please film a video on different relaxed hair styles? I have shoulder length relaxed hair. No longer want to risk braids but wondering how I should wear my hair
Can you please do relaxed hairstyles
Great video ❤❤❤
I do low maintenance hairstyles like goddess braids.
Headbabang wig has done me well for this relaxer stretch..my hair cant handle braids either
I used to love my headband wig but when worn all day, I had a headache by the time I took it off.
@@DenaJ i dont use the side combs. Just the back and the front ones
Thanks for the tips 😊
Can you please do a video on how to install clip in extensions
I don't usually wear clip ins.. Lol so that will be an experiment and experience in a video 🤷🏾♀️🤣
Look up lovely bryana, jai marii and tierra j. All of them have good clip in extensions tutorials.
I personally love clip ins… personally it’s too hot for it right now but I love it when the weather cools down especially around the holidays
I just undid my braids after three months and mannn have I messed up, my hair has locked up I've tried leave in conditioner on the build up and it's not working, I've used a detangling brush it's shedding so much I've had to wash it and deep condition it so that I can comb it out tomorrow morning.... someone please help me😢😭
Braids do not work for me either.
The last lesson hit hard 😢😂
🤣
Did you say 2010? That's 14 years now and I'm looking at having same length as yours😂....Patience to my dear self I'll say 😅
😂😭Lots of setbacks girl...
omg I just found your channel and I really love it. In addition to the fact that I also have a dry but fine and sensitive scalp, you have really helped me a lot.. Now I'm looking for a routine as little harmful as possible and including natural things, which routine do you recommend? i'm waiting for your reply 🩷🥺
Heyyy❤️ I'm not that sure my routine contains a lot of natural products 😔
@@DenaJ nevermind, then maybe something to treat dry scalp or frizz
Thanks for the tips ❤
