I had mine for about 2 years now, The initial install required trimmimg as the hood was not allowing the screen to positively snap lock into the base every time. The screen would still power up but it wasn't secured to the base. I discovered and corrected this before taking it on the water. I find it provides enough coverage between 10AM to 2PM, but not when the sun is low. I had to make an extension that velcro to it to provide extra shading.
That is great to know once I get the 93SV
I installed 2 only to find out that the holes were not aligned correctly. After making my own to make it work I realized it make the screen just that much bigger. After having it out twice I realized it didn't really block the sun a majority of the time and it was constantly in the way. Curious about your thoughts on it.
I have mine out over the edge of my kayak so it's really not in the way.. but I am not sure if the value is there TBH
I've been thinking about one of these but wasn't sure how much it would actually help and if it would interfere with the quick release on the back.
I can answer if it interferes with the quick release.. it does not.. however, it's only going to help depending on the angle of the sun.. there are still scenarios where it is washed out for me.. But it does mitigate angles so it's useful

How do you like the sun visor so far
I am not a 100% believer so far... I fish primarily in the morning so do I really need one? And I sometimes hit it with my feet when I pedal
@@wendellfishing yeah I was wondering and I’ve never really had a issue with my garmins screen in the sun but I see a lot of yaks with it
