I swear! Every New Super Mario Bros. DS challenge is impossible because of a World 8 level, and specifically a World 8 level.
Nintendo: what challenges will they try make them impossible
It's because World 8 contains zero secret exits or branching paths.
No Coins: 8-Tower 1
No Pressing Feft: 8-2
Backwards: 8-2
All Coins: 8-3
No Touching Bricks: 8-Final Castle

Honestly, I don’t think those blocks should count. They weren’t technically brick blocks, as they were blocks that were disguised to look like brick blocks. So it still counts.

Can we all agree that both this game and the original wii one hit different than all the following games? This one alone holds that title more than wii does, but wii still holds alot of that nostalgia bit in mind for me
8-4 can be done brickless by literally just doing the any% route btw
Im not sure if you mean the last level. Because thats not 8-4 and it was already proven possible in this video. I also watched the any% world record video for this game and they do hit the brick blocks for those switches
By 8-4 I mean 8-4. Yes, I know he proved it possible, but he took it very slow and made it really hard on himself. Playing 8-4 like an any% route would have been a lot faster and easier because you’re outrunning all the spider enemies.

I like that the most difficult part of the challenge was just doing 8-4 normally.
CMeeCraft Should do the star worlds for the past 3 brickless runs
You should mention that you beat Deluxe without bricks, not just normal NSMBU, because that means you can't pop bricks with the gamepad.
That leaves one not gone over yet: New Super Mario Bros. 2 without bricks
You should do these challenges like Nathaniel bandy, as in playing the game as normal and only once you find an impossible level you go for a secret exit rather that going straight for the secret exits automatically

I believe World 1-4 can be beaten without the mini mushroom. Mario can throw a koopa troopa shell and bounce of that when it is on top of the bricks.

It is possible to beat the game without toughing a single brick block, it's also possible to beat it without touching two of them, but three? Yeah it's impossible then.

Here’s a suggestion for a challenge: can you beat *insert Kirby game* without killing a waddle dee.* I got this idea when I was playing Kirby returns to dream land so maybe do that game. Kirby star allies would probably be impossible.
I actually never completet the game and that was a big twist for me that world 8 is larger than I thaught.

For the last level, you might need a koopa troopa for completing the level
This also unfortunately means that you've technically killed 3 Toads, if we stick with the knowledge that in some of the older mario games, Bowser turned the toads into bricks.

Yes. You are, in fact, the shell in that scenario. So you are touching the brick.
You physically crash into the brick hard enough to break it.
