I feel like it'd be far more accurate to call this series "minimum jumps" instead of a title that basically gets stomped into the ground within the first 2 minutes. However, there's a chance not all is lost for jumpless Kirby. Though the question of whether Return to Dreamland's main story could be beaten without jumps has been answered, can the game be 100% completed without jumps as well? It'd be fun to at least see how far we can get. I've been testing this, myself, and am up to the world 2 boss with only 1 possible roadblock, being stage 2-2. Though difficult, I'd love to see this idea become a reality.
while i think it'd be more accurate i think youtube's algorithm might hurt it's chances, since "Can you beat X without Y" is kind of hot right now

Oh, and add a counter while at it.
Only problem is that the 1st one, Return to Dreamland, was very much possible.
The biggest issue I could think of with that is the void sections, which destroy your copy ability. Even if you could get through one of those jumpless, you would almost definitely need to jump to get a copy ability for the sphere doomer fight, even assuming one of the available copy abilities has jump replacements.

I had a hard time beating the true arena to get 100%
As archer using camouflage (hold ⬇)
When I was at the final boss (finally, I died many times at galacta knight returns and #### ##### #### ## phase 3) I defeated he/she/it with low health, but he/she/it did his/her/it's final attack, first and second attacks where easy, just stay down, but the last attack was at the top and bottom, I just keep doing camouflage, but I died.
I was shocked (I let my friends see it when he/she/it was "dead").
Next day, next attempt, I won.
Looks like my time has come!
After the Triple Deluxe video I was inspired to try this challenge myself, since Robobot is by far my favourite Kirby game. I only ended up getting to world 3 before losing interest, but I did cross-reference my results with yours, and you were always either tied or ahead of my results _except_ for one level. World 1, Level 3. Most of this level is a cakewalk except for the Robobot section at the end, which you say costs 8 jumps: 6 to get up the hill, and 2 to destroy the boss, Gigavolt. However, Gigavolt can, in fact, be defeated with 0 jumps. If you use the Block ability (with R/L, which is available without a copy ability) right under where Gigavolt attacks, you can actually clip through his hand and end up on top! It's really finicky, and isn't exactly consistent, but it can be done. To do it, first destroy the shield things, and then block. The left hand is easy, just get hit once so that you tilt to the right side, and then if you get hit by the left hand again, it should pop you up. For some reason, the right hand is much less consistent. If you fiddle with it for long enough you should get it. I even went ahead and tested it on Gigavolt II, and it also works there! This means a total of 4 jumps taken off of the final count, ending with a total of 113 jumps! I'm sure there's more to shave off of this number, but take this as my personal contribution to this challenge.

I actually managed to shave 3 off of 1-2, by jumping on the block that normally covers the stairs, reducing the total to 110.

for spinoffs... maybe "Can you beat Kirby : Mass attack with the minimum ammount of kirbies?" (basically 1 kirby at all times until you need a specific ammount, in which case you get that ammount & then kill all but 1 kirby off. each time you have to do that it counts as "1 loss", like one jump is one loss in this challange)
Mass Attack actually has an in-game achievement for beating Dedede with a single Kirby, so this could be something interesting.
i think (I've never played mass attack) that it should be per Kirby

You should separate the jumps into categories:
1. Tutorial Jumps
2. Special Jumps (hypernova, mech, etc)
3. Basic Jumps
If you get 0 basic jumps, then you should win.
Although the quadrilligy is complete there’s one more Kirby no jump that I want and that’s Kirby star allies hero’s in another dimension side mode without jumping

I could see a no jump run of Kirby 64 The Crystal Shards being a thing, especially with the Firework ability, but still unlikely to happen.
Also you can kiss the true ending goodbye in that challenge.

I could see a dreamland 3 no jump run, the first part of level 1 would probably have some jumps... then use parasol+ nago for the rest of level 1...
And then the rest of the game using chuchu plus broom.
Great video, yet in my play through I didn't use Amiibo. The only important thing this changes are two code cubes in Area 5. 1st: the 1st code cube in 5-1 is possible with the jet ability. It does require perfect timing though. 2nd: I got the 1st code cube in 5-2 by using sword. What I did was I waited for the enemy holding the battery to walk to the end of the screen. The enemy will then try to jump over the wall. At the peak of its jump use an upward slash to knock the battery out of its hands and on top of the ledge. In a few seconds though the battery will fall of the ledge, so you have to pick it up before that happens.

Seriously UFO Kirby is not only way better since the version in planet robobot is way better because you can go down through certain platforms and it literally hovers everywhere

Also, maybe trying kirby mass attack without floating? I would say super star ultra, but sword is kinda garbage in that game which is unfortunate because a. there's an entire mode with meta knight and b. milky way wishes doesn't let you absorb abilities from enemies without the copy ability.

Note:IMO You dont need to do Meta Knightmare Ultra (as that could be a video on its own), The Arena, The True Arena, and Helper to Hero (because these are just Boss Rushes) and the subgames ( for obvious reasons)

Alright i got 2 options for the next: Star Allies Heroes in another dimension or Metaknightmare returns (i mean you done it before with guest star mode, just now with extra buffs Meta Knight can use)
Always great fun to watch these videos, I remember trying this after your previous video and having trouble in the beginning as well. I have to give props to you for your persistence.
For a video after this, I think looking at beating star allies without pressing the left or right buttons would be a fun challenge to watch. Personally I can confirm for guest star being possible in all but two places, which I had trouble with. One is a water section, which I thought at first would all be impossible.
However after finding that interacting with a second player can push you left and right, and later that umbrella has mobility in the water, only the section with the wall chase gave me issues.
Again, I’d love to see this covered, since it makes use of allies a lot and is quite different from these jumpless challenges ^•^
I have a few ideas for challenges for you:
1. Super Mario Galaxy while touching every coin
2. Super Mario Galaxy 2 while touching every coin
3. Terraria without mining or crafting

I think Kirby Squeak Squad could be a good no jump challenge it does have Cupid and cupid is a no jump copy ability so maybe you can do Kirby Squeak Squad CMeeCraft Gaming
Fun fact you can actually get super smash Bros copy ability without an amiibo the origin of this is in Kirby's adventure on the NES there's a level in the first world that has a secret area with the UFO ability if you can find it while in Kirby planet robobot the area is in the first Tower of the game world one fourthere's a section where you have to walk across blocks and if you go under one of the blocks and press up you enter a secret room with the smash Bros copy ability

If you have 2 enemies with different copy abilities, doesn’t the little copy ability selector come up? Maybe that can shave off a few jumps

the only ability with a separate a in midair move in this game is jet.

In the first area tower theres a hidden door with a 1 up and a smash copy ability

I think it’s a challenge success if there are no jumps after getting a good ability and weird gimmicks don’t count unless they have jump replacements

I hope you keep doing these challenges! Maybe you could do the meta knightmare mode in this game without jumping or try some other dream friends in star allies.

You do know that if you are near a droped copy ability while in robobit armor, you can copy that ability

you should keep trying to do something else with the modern kirby games. I love return to dreamland.
Since I didn't have access to many amiibo, I just kinda chunked it into sections, I found Jet decently useful when it was available. Since UFO is basically cheating imo, I didn't bother with it. Of course I was just doing it for fun, though, so I didn't play optimally.

stage 3 required 43 jumps for me. and that's without getting any code cubes. I took the alternate door and I died when trying to pass the cannon. I didn't have an amiibo that guarantees sword, so I used fire instead and accidentally fell into the robobot armor.
This game was amazing. Arguably the best modern Kirby out there.
Wait in the area with the spark enemies there were 2 of them. Could you have gotten a mixture and get something else
that's not how mix works. mix is only activated with 2 enemies that give different abilities. or by scanning certain amiibo.

spark may be useless in terms of this challenge, but it's not useless in a normal playthrough, because it can do a lot of damage actually. with its up+b attack that returns from its up+1 attack in return to dreamland
I've been trying to do the reverse of this, looking for a game where it's possible to beat a Kirby game while always jumping. I haven't found one yet.

How about can you beat mario with only a jump, no twirls, no triple jump maybe one wall jump, just the one jump mechanic and running then jumping could be allowed depends on you
