Overlaying Bakshi’s imagery on the King Crimson album artwork works well. The licks of fire, and the twisted mouth emerging and disappearing throughout, combined with the dark soundscape, leaves one feeling a mixture of fear and awe. This has rekindled my interest in both King Crimson and Bakshi.
Thanks for the thoughtful review! Sublime fear and awe of humanity's destructive potential is definitely an effect and message I was trying to convey through the mashup of imagery, which I think is reflective of the music and lyrics of Crimson's original song. Thanks again!
This is amazing!! How do you get these slowdowns?
Glad you like it and thanks for the comment! There's a number of sound editing programs you can use to slow music without changing the pitch, such as Audacity (an overall great introductory sound editor/mixer. Also, it's free!). The Paul Stretch plug-in is a good place to start. Hope you enjoy the rest of the channel!
