One of my favorite songs for the last 35 years.
Definitely one of my favorite Zeppelin tunes. Big fan of their proggy excursions, such as this. And the ambient opening is otherworldly...
This would totally worked out for the new Dune movies.
As a front man for a Led Zeppelin covers band, Glen Zeppelin (on Facebook) this is a personal favorite song of mine.
Thanks
Hoff
Thanks for the comment and I'm definitely getting you on the Dune vibe!
That is awesome! Love that I can sometimes pick apart the moment we're at the original song. Always wished they did it a little longer, thats why I often go straight up to live versions of this song
Glad you like it! Yes, sometimes certain moments in a song, especially ambient intros and outros, are too fleeting to fully enjoy. Stretching them allows for a more immersive experience of the atmosphere and mood of these pieces.
Very interesting listen
Glad you enjoyed it! I always loved the original intro but always wished it was longer...
Some I do take some classic and chill them out I appreciate what you produced
This is Drone done right. Satisfying Experience 😊
Glad you like it!⁰
Your profile is awesome!
Excellent - glad you like the channel!
Thank you for this. The sounds of Neptune revisited
Thanks for the comment! And you're right: at times it does resemble the ambient music translations of Neptune's electromagnetic waves. Nice observation 👍
Beautifully done
Thanks for the comment! Glad you like it.
The visuals are awesome as well.
Thanks for the comment! The visuals in this video (particularly some of the crossfades) took quite a while to get right.
Also, full credit to the sublime photography of the artists cited in the credits.
Check out my other videos if you're interested in the musical/visual style of this video, including a slowed version of another Zeppelin tune with a classic ambient intro: "In the Light."
Cool 😎
Glad you like it!
Is it possible to make a version that is slowed to a reasonable amount 🤔
I tried a variety of speeds but settled on 20x slower because I was aiming for a longer track and wanted the drone effect produced here. That said, I often reflect back on published videos and wonder whether shorter or longer versions would ultimately be better. There might be a less slowed version of this song on UA-cam somewhere...
@@grainsofsandambientlands4226 there isn't, I looked. It doesn't even sound like the whole song here, just the ambient intro part. Would you do the original song, slowed to where it usually would be? 75-80% speed maybe?
Whats reasonable?
@@honeyblunt5150 did you consider to change playback-speed 0,75x in the settings ?
