The Cinema Snob's super sized episode of The Stand 2020 Miniseries is back! Check out the full episode right here: ua-cam.com/video/Al91I8bh36s/v-deo.html
I remember watching an older video and the name of Balki dropped and now I’m watching perfect strangers on Hulu: a good binge watch suggestion. Also - wohoo for stand being up!
That may be true, but I can't believe this movie has a space princess for the leprechaun to seduce. There is gold, yes, but think of the gum disease when you look at him.
The title character is never once in the film referred to as a Leprechaun. He is only called "alien," "monster," "bastard," or some combination thereof. The sound of the doors opening and closing are taken from the original DOOM video game, where it was the sound of the elevators. Leprechaun uses a lightsaber, Warwick Davis himself has appeared in several 'Star Wars' movies, most notably as Wicket the Ewok in Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi (1983).
10:50 Fun fact that actor was originally going to be Gunnery Sergeant Hartman in Full Metal Jacket until R. Lee Ermey sniped the role out from under him as the technical advisor and he instead got the still iconic "Get Some!" Door Gunner part.
Honestly Leprechaun 4 is one of the best 'so bad it's good' movies out there. I remember it coming on TV one late night years ago and I was utterly entranced at how entertaining it was.
That cover for "A Very Unlucky Leprechaun" makes me want a Leprechaun horror movie where he just looks like that, because it's honestly creepier. What looks like a happy, fun loving Leprechaun being an evil murderous little gremlin could be great.
Funnily enough, he also played an alien Nazi in Dr Who Genesis of the Daleks. P.S the character wasn't specifically named as a Nazi, but you could clearly see where the writer got the inspiration from.
Just the fact that the movie has a character named "Mittenspider" alone makes it worth watching. Honestly Leprechaun 4 is one of the best 'so bad it's good' movies out there. I remember it coming on TV one late night years ago and I was utterly entranced at how entertaining it was.
There are alot of "dont have sex" undertones in this feature. The guys behind Old Fashioned must have gotten some inspiration or atleast psychological trauma from watching this. I could see a leprechaun jumping out of Clays pants and say "no pot of gold for you before marriage!".
Dr. Mittenspider. Two Lloyd clips. A Jake from State Farm joke. The tool girl being badass. And to top it off, the black guy SURVIVED the movie. This is a blessed review.
Guy Sinner (Mittenhand) played not only a closeted Nazi on sitcom Allo Allo but also appeared alongside Dalek creator Davros in his first appearance on Doctor Who. Of his time on the latter he said "what I remember the most is trying to keep in mind that I was playing a barely contained genocidal maniac who took himself really seriously while all around me Dalek operators were tripping over power cables and intoning "OH-BUGG-ER-MEEEEEEEEEE"
And the blonde scientist is Kes's daughter with Tom in the "Star Trek: Voyager" episode "Before and After".... no wonder Kes decided to erase that timeline.
I just watched "moonraker" so it makes sense that this weeks snob episode is also in the series of "Put franchise in space" movies we all know and love.
@@glennwelsh9784 My comment is also a reference to Brads midnight screenings of Madea: Boo. Halloween. "Just wait for Madea in space. Its gonna happen. So Renn and Stimpy were wrong! It isn't just "You can do anything you want BUT don't whiz on the electric fence!". They should have added "and the remains of the blown up Leprechaun"
Let's see, we've seen Leprechaun in space, Jason in space, Pinhead in space, and I guess technically Pennywise since he came from space. Who else can we shoot up there?
I hate to give credit to this useful hilarious movie but they *might* have been attempting to show some fairytale/mythological limits to his powers...you know like how vampires can't enter a home unless invited? Pretty sure Leprechauns have some things that they're not allowed to do directly and have to scheme and trick to get.
@@heartysquid, agree. But, I don't think it's really to the credit of this movie particularly as the leprechaun isn't shown to be all-powerful or anything in the other movies. It's more trickery and glamors and some conjuring than some type of omnipotence. There's also the fact that it's a different leprechaun with different abilities and weaknesses (and goals) in each movie to muddy the waters but that's neither here nor there really.
This was the first Leprechaun movie I ever saw as a kid on Cinemax back in the early 2000s. I remember I was scared at the spider monster back then but now looking back at it, I realized it was a lot of good cheesy fun.

Yes! She drove my young mind wild.
Agreed!

This movie has the production values of a Sega CD cutscene
