motorized, yes you are probably right I stumbled across you channel and find your "creativity" amazing. Harkens back to the days of motorcycle building over 100 years ago.
If I were to do a motorized bicycle, I would like to try to make the accelorater be controlled by a lever mounted on the left side of the gas tank. Kind of like the pre war Harley Davidsons.
Oh one more thing, if you put a predator 212 on a beach cruiser or a OCC chopper bicycle, you can hit over 50 with only a torque converter OR regular clutch setup
Excellent 'enginuity'.Bummer about the hub.I have a 12gauge spokes, steel wheel from Sta-Tru on the way here.I'll let you know how strong it really is for $60.My 'hub adapter'crushed my alloy wheels center.Yep.Irony there.
haha aw man, I'm actually very impressed that the sprocket I welded on the original bike sprocket is still doing good. best O' luck on your bike! definitely keep me updated!
This bike is so cool. Gives people another way to build a motorized bike with gears and without the Jack shaft. I'm doing something similar with an old garden tractor transaxle but mine a 4 speed and you have to stop it in order to shift.
Ive used the jackshaft off of the same edger ,I notice the flattened out lever and rack and color. With the trans up on edge, what insures thegears are getting lubed?
Pretty unique set up , I vvas suprised to see it having a torque converter AND 5 speeds . The only suggestion I'm gonna make to you is to add or better yet , Make a sprung front end so it'll handle better over rough areas . You could use the fork you have to start vvith & just cut & vveld a leaf spring off an old trailer . Indian Motorcycles used to offer a front end like that & for decades after they svvitched to using a girder fork the dealerships offered the leaf springers vvhich vvere supposedly better handleing even in dirt than the Harley springer fork . Am going to check out your v-tvvin bike next. Keep up the good vvork !
Cheers Roger, Thanks for the suggestion! I would like to maybe even steal some forks and suspension of of a dirt bike and Incorporate it onto this bike.
impressive engineering. the original rear hub gear assembly can't handle the torque when the converter slams power on it with the tiny little locking paws it has you need to solid weld the rear gear to the rim
You're not a pansy, wheelies on motorized bikes are terrifying, because of no rear suspension, dirt bikes and motorcycles feel much safer doing wheelies, i know from experience
Cool video bro. You're pretty damn skilled! Btw, don't know how you've 18+ years in life without anyone pointing this out, but it's Miscellaneous as in "Miss-uh-layne-ee-us", not "Misk-uh-layne-ee-us". The "c" after the "s" is silent.
engine $100 new, torque converter $100 new, transmission $50 on ebay, gas tank $15, bike $20, sprockets $15 from junk yard.. So, about $300. That said, I already had all these parts on hand except the bike.
@@OliverMotorized I had a Whizzer 24" Sportster motorbike 1/2 hp,,cost $45 used, top speed,45 MPH,100MPG !!!!!! Damn site cheaper and less work and safer than that death trap you cobbled together !!!!!!
Seems like there is a separation between the rear sprocket & the hub. I was wondering why you thought it was the transmission. Btw, did you see videos on converting a lawnmower engine to a horizontal engine? It seems like if you take an engine that is suppose to laying on it's side.... oh wait, never mind. Good video.
You should try some aluminum mag wheels they have a hard mount sprocket and sealed bearings. Kinda pricey though, some sites have them for $99 while others its like $140. The front mag wheel has holes for a disc brake.
Before anyone says anything, I know it’s not street legal. Yeeyee!
It's well know amongst the riding community that the shifter is the pleasure center of any given motorcycle. :-)
That thing is awesome
lmao!
Thanks andrew
Legality is never a moral argument. It's an appeal to authority. Ride it anyway.

Well said 👍
You put a sideways engine on a bike and used it to drive a five speed mower transmission. That's the coolest motorized bike I've ever seen. Righteous.
@@LazloNQ Hell yeah!

Those bikes cost a lot more than whats practical. A real motorcycle would be a much better investment.

I Love the 2 gear torque converter idea man
thanks buddy
Ive used the jackshaft off of the same edger ,I notice the flattened out lever and rack and color. With the trans up on edge, what insures thegears are getting lubed?
yup good eye! most the parts for the gear shift were from an edger. The gear box has heavy grease so oil isn't just pooling at the bottom.
What's the transmission from? I grenaded 2 sturmey archer gearhubs on a similar build before I accepted that they can't handle engine power.

Were can I get that transmission
Looks like you took apart a plane and used it to beast out a bike!
haha thanks andrew
where did you get your converter with the dive gear on the out side like yours
I had to extend the 5/8" shaft about 2 inches so I could fit a sprocket on the opposite side.
Would a clutch work better with the trans.
I.. im not sure, originally it came off of a lawnmower so it had a belt tension clutch. not sure if that would be better than a torque converter?
Not a lawnmower belt clutch but a gokart clutch since you have a trans. Still a cool bike
Glad to see you put a muffler on it... Too many run a ridiculous open pipe....
