Don't use compression fittings on fuel. A mechanic did that on my truck. It failed I got stranded. Had to call a tow truck The guy charge $300. Had to pay another mechanic to do it right.
The 1st fitting u attached it seemed as if you were stressing the fitting by using the clamping part of the clamp. I was just imagining using a deepwell socket & just use the flat bar section of your clamp where it perfectly aligns. Also, a caulking gun can also be used along with a clamp. Anyways, good content bro, there are many people who know nothing about vehicles & it boggles my mind how some people are blessed enough to never have to work on their vehicle, must be nice but, I prefer the knowledge & to have every tool needed.
95 Ford Thunderbird the fuel line about 6 in from the pump has rubbed against something I can literally push it with my fingernail can cut the line and put that fitting in it I can't think of the name of it same thing I use on plastic piping and plumbing and copper. before I put the tank back up.? thank you.
I had to put a new connector on the nylon plastic fuel line that runs from pump to back of fuel filter. I cannot get connector to fit tried heat an hot water neither worked. What can I do??
Make sure that the tube size is matched up with the fitting you are trying to install and try again. Sometimes these can be a snug fit and take a bit of elbow grease to work them into the tube. It's a tight fit by design because you don't want the fitting in the tube to be loose as it could create a leak path which obviously is not good when working with fuel lines.
Thank for the video. The nylon compression union, haven't used this type before. How tight do you go with this type nylon fitting. Thanks
bro hands down amazing help🙌🏿🙌🏿

Try some silicone spray to lube it . I don't believe it will damage anything . It also lubes 0 rings , connectors , etc.
thank much! 4d video. informative.
The ethanol content in fuel these days just kills rubber fuel hose.
