I spent one than year in a construction project and I find out that we were using SEMEN instead of ceMENT. What a shameful discovery. But it is Ok now, thanks to this video, all project team members will differentiate between words to use in the office and those for bedroom.

I made a BIG mistake with the word coke. I went to fast food restaurant and I ordered a large coke. The female cashier only said "What!?" but late she understood that I am not an American. After I realized about my mistake, I felt embarrassment. I would have liked to have that book before

    Oh !
I remember of one mistake that I made when I was in middle school.
I had to prepare an oral, in front of my class about a french artist. And I chose a rapper that I loved but... during all my intervention, I pronounced the word “RAP” as the word “RAPE” ( violer )😰 and that gave several sentences as “ In his best song, he is RAPING with another singer.. ” “This is my favorite RAPER ..”
I only learnt my pronunciation error after 10 minutes ... by my teacher embarrassed *__*

Thank you Christina. Very very interesting video as usual !
Also I was wondering why is it so easier to remember your lessons/advice than other common classes : because of the subtitles... double way for the brain to take in.

I'm an American. Once while talking to a gentleman he kept saying "manure" it took me a bit to realize he was saying "maneuver". He was having trouble making the V sound.

hello Christina, thank for your this video. I can find no example right now but I can tell about my experience with water this week. I had a problem with water cuts on Friday evening and since the colour of water is no longer transparent but white.
I have already told doctors about my eyes, nose, mout, hands and body skin dryness (even if I use a special soap and very rich cream on my body twice a day and cream my hands after washing them). I think this is a direct consequence of electrosensibility.
Does anyone feel the same dryness ? If yes, how do you deal with it ?

Hi ! this lesson made me remember an embarrasing part with my students, we were reading a story called the Most dangerous game, there is a part that says, "I don´t condone murder"...one student was reading aloud and he asked me : Miss how do I pronounce this word? Because it sounded like a prophylactic in Spanish... it was very embarrasing.. and funny moment, I tried to ignore the remark but we were laughing inside!
